Only tried this joint once, but I regret it. The dish I got seemed to be full of flavors and juicy. However, after few bites, I realized they over saturate the meat with sodium, sugar, and MSG. If you enjoy eating cocktail of chemicals in your food, you will like this place. Also, they have lunch and dinner prices for same items on few dishes. I don't know what the differences are though. The staff is 5 star friendly, they immediately greet you with a warm smile when you enter and take the time to actually talk to you- ask how your day is- ask if you have questions and generally show they care. I came here twice, and both times were great! I had the spicy chicken teriyaki, which was a good sized portion, and came with the classic iceberg lettuce salad with the sweet creamy dressing. We ordered our food to go, but then ate half of it in the restaurant and saved the rest for afterwards. As far as teriyaki goes, this is undoubtedly the best place to go in Everett. The service is kind and speedy, the food is always gone too fast despite the generous portions. I usually get the chicken teriyaki, although I've tried the sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, and yakisoba and all of the dishes have been phenomenal! Short of going to Japan this is the best option for people! They offer a variety of chilled drinks and complimentary candy at the counter too. Way too much sugar. The teriyaki is super sweet and not grilled, which is what "yaki" means. NO! They deep fried the gyoza. Real gyoza is fried in wok. Dressing on lettuce way top sweet. We order here every week and it's always fast and delicious! The portions are great - I usually get 2 meals out of it. I order the regular chicken teriyaki and fried rice while my boyfriend gets the spicy chicken. I wouldn't say the spicy chicken teriyaki is spicy, just has a different flavor, but still good! Hugh portions mine came with large salad and enough chicken that I took have to go. My wife's came in a large boat shaped bowl there was two meals in it also. COVID sucks and prices are going up. I get that. But I feel mislead through my whole experience here. My wife and I were looking for a highly rated one dollar sign restaurant. We went here only to find that the price on the menu on the counter was higher than the one posted on Yelp. Ok. Maybe that's an old picture. Then our bill was much higher than expected which we didn't realize until we sat down after we'd paid. We asked when our food came out and the owner pointed to the menu above the counter where the price was another 33% higher than the price on the menu on the counter. She said she had to raise prices, but hadn't had time to change the menu. She saw us ordering from that menu. Simply telling us at that time would have been the honest thing to do. Instead we had to ask about it later. At a minimum, she should have honored the price on her menu. But we just got an apology. The food was great which is why I gave two stars instead of one. But this is NOT a one dollar sign restaurant anymore. And more importantly, make sure you ask for the correct price as the one on their menu may not be honored. I got scammed. Tokyo Teriyaki is great! They have a good selection of teriyaki, yakisoba, stir fries, etc. The food is yummy, has good portion size, and the staff is SO nice! The two things I have tried at many places, but still give thumb's up to Tokyo Teriyaki, are yakisoba & miso soup. They cook their noodle just right. Not chewy. Not soggy. Just right. Cheap and delicious teriyaki. I've been here four times, and they've always had some kind of lunch special for under $6. The chicken teriyaki is probably their best dish, though. It's not too thick with sauce, comes with plenty of rice, and you can be in and out fast. It's nothing fancy, but it's the best value for good food that I've found in Everett. read more

This place is too good for words!! I love Teriyaki and I"m so happy to have found this place. Warning: The average portion size will feed two average size adults. Or one adult will have yummy leftovers for the next day. I've had the chicken teriyaki which is SUPERB! The chicken is tender and NOT dry. The sauce is not too sweet or salty. The rice is firm and not dried out and nasty. My new fav is the spicy chicken. Not for the faint of heart and have some tums ready. The spicy chicken is in a saucy sauce but kicked up with some extra heat. Very tender and good. The tempura roll is to DIE FOR! You have to try it. Big roll. It alone with some miso soup is enough to fill me up for dinner but I'm a pig and have it as an appetizer. I've also had the beef yakisoba. It's really good too. The only thing with the yakisoba is that is was a tad too salty for even me but very good. The owner is very nice and gracious and if anything is wrong with your food, they will fix it right away. Just pure good old fashioned customer service. Wish the other places around Everett would figure that out. Eat up here before it's all gone! read more

I'm usually very picky about my teriyaki, so I won't just go to the first teriyaki place I see. A few weeks ago, a friend of mine had some chicken teriyaki from here and asked me if I wanted to try some. It was really good and I kept thinking about it afterwards! I eventually went back with two other people for lunch to have an order of teriyaki all to myself. I got the chicken and 4 piece gyoza lunch special. I ended up eating the whole thing which I normally don't do because I was hungry and it tasted great! I liked the teriyaki more than the gyoza, but both were pretty good. Their sauce is really tasty and they have big bottles of it at each table for your convenience, which is great for people like me who love to put lots of it on the meat and rice! The people working there were nice and kept the place really clean. The lunch special and the bottle of water I bought came to around $7 or so, which is a great price for lunch.
