I was on a solo date with moi. Love to dine with self always! Staff was very welcoming upon entry. Service was top-notch throughout the evening. I went all out on my dining experience. I couldn't resist, but to order the best sushi rolls, sushi + ramen bowls, and iced green tea. Let's just say I was hungry LOL. Everything was amazing! Seaweed salad was the best I've ever had. Between the two sushi rolls, I enjoyed the Carribean Roll more. I think it was the sweet onion that put it over the top. TASTY! Chirashi Bowl had fresh fishes in good cuts. YUM! Ramen Bowl had savory broth and tender chashu pork with all my favorite toppings. DELISH! Refreshing Iced Green Tea was in a large glass. YAY! I dined liked a queen. I would do it again. Of course, I had to pack the leftovers to-go plus order some to-go for my daughters. Overall dining experience was wonderful. Definitely would come back again. If you haven't tried Kazama Sushi, add it to your list to try. Dine-In: *Seaweed Salad - marinated seaweed with sesame oil & seed *Carribean Roll - In: spicy crab meat, avocado, cucumber/ Out: salmon, lemon, sweet onion, cilantro with sweet sauce and cilantro sauce *Old Town Roll - In: crab stick, shrimp tempura, avocado/ Out: seared salmon belly, sprouts, garlic ponzu, tobiko *Chirashi Bowl - Chef's select fishes over sushi rice *Miso Ramen Bowl - Japanese ramen noodle soup with chashu pork, egg, corn, ginger, green onion & seaweed *Iced Green Tea To-Go: *Chirashi Bowl *Miso Ramen Bowl Btw, free parking can be found at the nearby parking garage or on the streets. Went in with an empty stomach, ordered a water which i only took a sip of. Pros: -Sushi size is bigger than most places -They were very generous w/ the ginger & wasabi -They provided a lolipop w/ your check Cons: -I wish the Eel was crisper I feel like a 7/10 full. I paid $32.36 (before tip) Pretty satisfied with my meal. Still exploring sushi spots to see if rolls are worth the price so no opinion as of right now, However I have been to cheaper spots (just as good) in the SD area.

We were seated quickly and taken back by how vibrant the interior was. We decided to order multiple plates and share so we ordered Dumpling Soup, Grilled Swai, Chicken Katsu Curry, and Garlic Noodles. Everything was so delicious but the Garlic Noodles were the star of the show for me. They weren't dry or oily, it was the perfect texture. They even brought us chili oil. We ended up getting Milky Buns for dessert which tasted like warm beignets. The prices also weren't bad at all for the amounts that we got. We also utilized the lunch special and happy hour so our portions were a bit smaller. Amazing service with friendly staff. Love this place and can't wait to be back.

6pm, Friday, September 19, 2025…read more It was hopping in downtown Claremont. My date had a certain place in mind though... House of Pong Asian Fusion. It was my first visit here but it won't be my last. I had already did my browsing of what's on the menu. I joined in on the crispy tofu for the appetizer and the crispy salmon skin salad. When we walked in it was busy. The Dodger game was on at the bar. There were maybe three open tables at most. We were seated at their small table against the wall. A cozy table for two. We were greeted by our friendly server, she brought the menus and ask us about drinks to start. I've water all around, haha. She came back with our water. Ooh, tasted like cucumber water... Refreshing. While my lady was deciding, I ordered: crispy tofu appetizer (presented in a small dish, about 10-12 pieces of hot, crispy cubes of golden tofu with a dipping sauce) and the salmon skin salad for my entree. The salad was an ample sized serving to share between the two of us. The salmon skin was julienned and were crispy little clumps like miniature fishy hash browns. Very crispy and tasty salad that included sliced tomatoes, cucumber, and scallions on mixed greens. My date ordered the charshu ramen. We shared our plates. The ramen was very tasty. The noodles had a good chew, not over cooked. Mmm, that was delicious. The robotic server was kitchy and cute. Maybe it does assist them with delivering plates to the table but the human server was observed transferring them from the bot to the table. For our table, we had our food delivered in stages not at the same time. The crispy tofu arrived first, then the ramen, and several minutes later came the salmon skin salad. Not a deal breaker but noticed. Food was good. Service was okay, could be better.

The apps we ordered came out first which were the pork gyozas & the spicy flame garlic edamame! Both delicious. I could eat that edamame on the daily, they didn't hold back on drenching the edamame with their special sauce which I absolutely loveeeeee since I'm a sauce girly lol so the more the better! Still dreaming of them (: Our ramens came out shortly after & they looked soooo delicious & spicy haha we both opted to get the pork flame! I love that they charred the pork! Flavorrrr! Everything was spot on! I do wish they just gave a full egg instead of half only. If ya want a full egg it's extra $$ Could have been a bit more runny as well (to my liking) But totally would come back. Good little spot on a nice cold night (:

The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the overall atmosphere made the night really special. Our server, Allen, was super nice and helpful the entire time. One thing that really stood out was how on top of everything he was, especially with drink refills. We didn't even have to ask once! Another employee, Aspen, was also so sweet and welcoming. She spent time interacting and playing with our daughter and was genuinely so kind to all of us. Little things like that really make a difference and made us feel comfortable and appreciated as a family. We did the all-you-can-eat option, and honestly, the pricing is great for the quality of food you're getting. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality. There's another Sushi One Spot closer to us in Rancho Cucamonga, but after trying both, the Montclair location is definitely worth the drive. You can absolutely tell the difference in the quality of the food and the overall experience. Do yourself a favor -- if you like sushi, check this place out!

Overall, Sushi One Spot is definitely a solid option if you want AYCE sushi, and I will certainly be back.

Service was fine. I think they could be faster bringing out beer, but the regular plates came out fast and the yakitori came out in the expected amount of time. I like that they have the shichimi, different salts, and I think it was karashi takana, but I wish they also had a used skewer cup and more slips of paper to order yakitori (you have to ask for more). Of the yakitori we tried cartilage, gizzard, negima, tsukune, beef tongue, pork belly, pork cheek, shrimp, okra, oyster mushroom, shiitake, shishito, bacon enoki, and quail egg. For the other plates we had mentaiko mochi, nagaimo, and anago tempura. No complaints with the plates! They were all delicious. The pork and shrimp yakitori were overcooked. The tsukune (chicken meatball) was undercooked or at least borderline twice. The outside of the tsukune was firm but the inside was mushy. They said it's double cooked (boiled then grilled) but we didn't feel like it was safe to eat. They smelled delicious though. Overall it was good! Just a few tweaks and it would be a 5 stars. It's wonderful that there's finally an izakaya places in the area and I can't wait to go again!
