The lady who did my pedicure CUT my toe. I had to convince her to put alcohol on it so it wouldn't get infected. She also filed them way too short. The polish was pretty messy too. She did my manicure as well, she didn't even apply to polish near my cuticles & applied 3 coats of paint making my nails look thick & bubbly. Filed them AFTER painting.. she was obviously trying to make it so my nails won't last as long & so I can come back sooner & more often to get them redone. There's way too much paint on my skin as well from her not being able to stay on my nail.. and I have pretty long nails that I do not touch, they aren't difficult to do. This place is burn and turn. If you want to spend money to have your nails look like they've been painted by a toddler- this is the place! The paint job was so sloppy that I removed the nail polish only a couple hours later. Complete waste. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!! The absolute worst customer service. My friend went there yesterday the worker asked her gel or no gel. She said no gel. The worker continues to polish her nails and helped her over to the table to dry her nails. They forgot all about her and left her for 2 hrs before they checked her nails to see if they were dry, they were not! They leave her again and go back after another hour goes by, STILL wet! they leave her AGAIN and another hour goes by, and still wet. Someone please tell me why a nail salon doesn't know that if nails dont dry within the first hour or so they probably used the wrong polish! After 4 fucking long hours they finally realized "I put gel on, let me get the light " They leave my disabled friend who asked for help getting up and out of the chair BUT the worker walks away from her and leaves her. WORST SERVICE EVER. She told me about it later other wise I would have caused some shit with them... oh and get this... they gave no discount AND charged her for gel polish. read more

I struggled on whether to give 2 or 3 stars. I have had some great experiences with getting the dipping powder. They do 4 coats which is ideal for me, so they're pretty solid/strong. Yet, I had a horrendous experience when I went to get a simple manicure (and removal of fake nails). I saw that this was mentioned in a few other reviews, my nails were buffed down way too much, leaving them weak and brittle. My cuticles were cut down excessively and my pinkie finger actually bled. I'm always terrified to try a new nail salon, so I will most likely keep coming here. I'm just hoping they'll be more consistent. read more

Overall a good experience. If you do dip have them show you a sample before committing (I got a much brighter color than I planned, and glitters are often clear even if you ask for it not to be). Seriously, THE BEST mani/pedi I've ever had. The staff was so sweet. I showed up an hour before closing and was immediately seated I got a shellac manicure while I was getting an amazing pedicure. The base coat wouldn't set right for some reason and the manicurist redid it three times before applying the color to make sure my nails looked great. Then, after relaxing in the chair for 40 minutes she offers me a neck massage... of course I said yes! I recommend this place to anyone! read more

So I was referred here by a coworker..like any other nail salon; there is ups and downs. I really really wish I could have mainly ups but oh well. For starters: my daughter and I got a deluxe pedicure and a French tip manicure. We started off with the pedicures; we absolutely loved it. The two women that helped us did an absolutely wonderful job and actually communicated with us, which was nice. They were very sweet and caring with my daughter who is always on edge about things. I really appreciated that. The outcome of our pedicures was fantastic! Now the manicure experience: it was OK. He did a nice job but I don't understand if it's me oorr it's just like that in Alaska, but for some reason you ask for gel nails and it's acrylic with gel polish but pay for the gel service! I felt a bit ripped off but being a wimp about it, I didn't want to cause a seen by questioning it. When it was my daughters turn, I just told him to do acrylic and non "gel polish". Although right at the very end, he was like "ok I'm going to put on gel" and thank goodness I was being aware of everything, I stopped him. Ok this is where it became odd: so yes I am aware that most nail salons would ask for payment in the middle of your service (which is totally fine)..I just got an awkward gesture when I tipped in cash instead of putting it all onto my card. Yeah my brow raised and I couldn't help it because I felt like that was not a thing to do? I don't know it was odd and my daughter wanted a little design on her nails but the guy disappeared in the back and never came out. So we sorta just left..my daughter and I barely spoke the entire time in there..and I generously tipped...sooo umm yeah? In conclusion: the shop itself is nice..I really like the sinks accent wall and columns...for some reason it worked well. My go to place since its right next to everything! I went in for an acrylic fill this past Sunday and Sunny started working on removing the old parts of my acrylic then recommended for me to start with a fresh new set. Apparently the person who did my nails prior at a different salon made it so that water got under my nails or something so they were practically ruined. They literally popped right off. I usually come into this place to get my feet done, but yesterday I went in to be treated by my boyfriend. I had called to make a reservation for my friend and I and when I put in my number they didn't have my reservation. I had to speak up and tell them I was planning to get my nails done with my friend beside me. I sit down and the woman asked what color I wanted and if I wanted tips. She proceeded to explain the prices and told me it'd be $10 for just cuticles, which is ridiculous. That should be a part of prepping my nails. She later on asked what nail shape I wanted and I said tapered square. She did not file down the nails and nearly gave me tips wider than my fingers. I had to correct her multiple times on the shape and what I wanted. She called someone else over to fix my nails. Once they taught her how to fix my nails she sat back down and in the middle of talking to my friend she PULLS my arm straighter. Instead of asking me to adjust myself. I could tell she was annoyed with me but if I'm going to pay 70+ for a service, I am going to be picky about it. Needless to say this appointment took an hour longer than it should have and even though I loved their pedicures I will NOT be going back. I was at todays nails next to title wave on northern lights not even a week ago and I got a full set the lady who I had was incredibly rude to me at the beginning of it as well as the lady who we met with when we walked in gave us a nasty look. The separater between us was covered in old nail polish as well as the uv light. The jars she used to do the acrylic set were the nastiest jars I'd ever seen. There was a communal brush and oil jar for after a manicure that she put on without getting any of the dust off my hands or asking me to wash them. All of the files were super old and catching on my nails as she filed them because they were that old and already torn. The towel that was on the table was nasty and definitely had been used for multiple clients. When she noticed me looking at all of the dirty things at and around her station she asked me if everything was okay and changed her demeanor towards me. I was there waiting for my friend the finish getting a hand massage from the lady who did her full set and the lady who did my nails had moved onto the next person and was so friend and talkive and kind and just the opposite of how she was towards me... its probably the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. The guy who did my nails is younger, he burned me three different times when doing my nails with the drill. Pros: My hands and feet have never felt so good!!! They have different pedicures.. Wax, Hot rocks etc... I did the wax, my feet feel amazingly... Soft and smooth. My manicure was great as well! I came in this summer with my bridal party - tons of girls getting manicures and pedicures. Though we had an appointment, they were not ready for us when we arrived, and several girls had to wait to get started. They didn't seat us near each other, even when there were empty stations. I was the bride, and they apparently gave me the worst nail tech, who couldn't do a French gel manicure to save his life. Bubbles everywhere, lines not straight.... So he kept having to remove it midway, and he did that by filing it off each time and severely damaged my nails underneath in the process. If I remember correctly, it took us well over two hours to get in and out - totally ridiculous. And to top it all off, no discount whatsoever even though I brought in a TON of business. I went in thinking this was a new place because of their huge sign, only to find out they have been in business for two years -just left the sign up. Colors and décor are very coordinated and they seem to have their regulars who drop in and go to a corner desk and paint their own nails? What is that? Better bring your own polish they have the fewest choices I have ever seen and not any new colors, just cheapy brands. Service is fast with lots of workers, and well done. I just have a problem with the price. I don't like the massaging of legs or hands, but it will never get you a discount to not have it -unfortunately. After you are done no one checks with you to see how they are drying and there is no finishing spray to put on. They really should have some kind of closure with customers, especially from a manager that can speak English. Worst pedicure of my life. Seriously. Walked in, was told there was a 10 min wait. Proceeded to be sat down, put my feet in water which was cold by the time anyone was available (another 20+ min later). I would've rather just been told the wait was longer. The pedicure itself was garbage, my nails were cut crappily and quickly, and the cheap paint never dried all the way. I literally came directly home, removed the paint and redid them myself. I would have been okay waiting since they were busy, but 2 customers that came in on a walk in without an appointment AFTER I had been waiting were helped and started on their pedicure before I was. I got a basic manicure here last week when I was visiting Anchorage for a wedding. My nails looked OK but the salon had a strong chemical smell that was unpleasant and I got a "sunburn" from the UV lamp for drying nails. DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. The day after my manicure my nails are chipping, peeling, and breaking. When I went back to get them fixed I was treated very rudly. They would not let me explain the situation without talking over me. I requested a refund and they said they do not give refunds but they also have no written policy that reflects this. I left feeling very angry and unsatisfied. Do not go here. They also told me that they do not garuntee their services. They are also overpriced for what you get compared to other places.
