Edit to add #5: Where they tried to dig out my ingrown toe nail, I now have an infection. FUN. Edit to add #3, & 4. Exactly a week later 6 nails had popped off. 7 days later 1 more nail popped off. When the nails popped off, I was not doing anything where they should have came off. Baffled. EDIT TO ADD: Not even a week had passed, & two nails have popped off. One was while I was making a bed, & the other, I woke up & the nail was gone..... Easily the worst set of nails I have ever paid for. What a waste of $350 + $30 for tip. I have been here a handful of times now, & each time service gets worse. I don't live in Anchorage anymore, so only stop here due to convenience when I am in town, considering it's right now the road. We booked an appointment for 3 of us, a week in advance. We got there, they started two of us, & I sat in the chair for 30 minutes before they started on my feet, by this time the other two I was with were almost done. One of my biggest peeves is, when they start your manicure while they are doing your pedicure, so you're stretched. Part of the reason I get my toes does is for the relaxation. I had cut my finger nails & toe nails before I left because I like my nails square cut. Both ladies cut my nails again, making them so short that it hurt. The next three days my nails from my feet/hands are sore. Other two people are sore too. When I got home I noticed I had chunks of skin taken out, on my fingers & toes. The lady doing my fingers cut my cuticle with the drill, did not clean the drill, & spooned some stuff on it, not washing anything she touched my open wound with. & the shape of the nails is awful. They are all shaped so different. The paint job is just as bad, & you can see through to the other side of the nails when I'm outside. She did not get the acrylic even close on my thumb, so it looks like I have a week of growth. To say the least, I will no longer go to them for the convenience. We paid $350 for all of us, that's three pedicures, & one manicure. At the end, I didn't even want to correct the lady, as I had sat there from 1pm-4pm. Nails should not take that long. So now I'm stuck with these awful nails. Crazy how much we spend for what we got. read more

They always have a chair open! And I didn't get a first degree burn like I did with their competitors across the street. I just wish businesses would pay attention to the details. They have this really cool light with crystals that makes it seem like a fancy experience but the crystals are dusty and there is only one lightbulb out of five that works. Clean the light fixture!!! Put new bulbs in it! You have a big screen LED TV, put a video of vacation places on it. Or something relaxing instead of a dead screen. DO SOMETHING!!! Clean the place up, make it exciting. Gel powder removal from my natural nails, basic mani, shellac and shellac paint on my toes (no pedi). $100 for services + $20 tip. As you can see, the polish is so sloppy. I will never come here again. read more

This place used to be a lot nicer but no longer is. $40 for a basic polish pedicure that smudged because it was still gummy HOURS later. I even washed my feet in cold water when I got home to remove the lotion and the polish never set up because they slapped all the coats on one after the other with no drying time between. There was only one other client being seen and they sat me in the chair *directly* next to them instead of one of the other 20 chairs so I had to listen to someone loudly smack their gum 2 feet away from me during my rushed pedicure. They had no music or tv playing so I sat in silence with gum-smacker. Place was dirty, towels every where; work stations messy, and trash cans full. Won't be back. Go somewhere else. read more

So first off I want to say, I really liked the lady that did my nails. She was so nice and funny and she did a great job with my pedicure. With that being said, her and other employees were shuffling around while working on clients to do other tasks and walk ins. I wasn't in a huge rush so it was fine. I asked for the deluxe pedicure which was $65 and asked for shellac polish which I assumed was going to be an added charge, I was thinking $10-15. (I know, shame on me for not asking). When I go to check out, they said total was $95! They charge $30 EXTRA to do shellac on someone already paying $65 for a pedicure. Completely nuts. I was looking forward to going back due to the girl and her work, but not for that price. read more

Walk in is available here although I waited about 15minutes for my gel manicure. Price in brochures was $35 plus $8 the removal of gel polish. Apparently the color I picked out was a extra $7 although I wasn't told that until the end when my gel manicure was $50, not including a tip. A bit pricey! Although I was pleased overall, I was pissed not knowing about the upgrade in polish pricier. read more

I brought my daughter here for her 16 birthday. The guy did her nails way too long and one broke off THAT NIGHT. The next day a different lady "fixed" it with a bigger uglier nail that didn't even match the rest. Went to get dip nails, the first two pictures are what I left the salon, I told her they aren't coffin shaped like I asked and very lumpy and she said it would be better the next day. Next day I called and let them know and asked if the owner could do it since I've had her before and she did a great job. I was told on the phone the owner could fix it, but when I got there, it was the same person who did my nails. There is a fixed picture but Ican still see streaks on where the dremel was. This wasn't wort $75. She also told me that I should of told her the day I got them done so I wouldn't have to come in and she wouldn't have to redo them, which I did tell her multiple times. When she fixed them she was going to put another coat of matte on but then said i probably shouldn't do 2 coats because it will make it lumpy and I don't like that look, of course I wouldn't want lumpy nails but the matte coat shouldn't determine that? Only have had my nails done a few times, but they were never this bad. read more

Great first time experience! It's been a while since I've had a mani/pedi so I chose this place based on the most stars for the area I was in. It did not disappoint. I didn't have an appointment but they got me right in. I was just going for a basic pedi but was up-sold to the next level and was so glad I went for it. It came with a sugar scrub, cooling rub and hot towels. And of course the leg massage. I had shellac on my hands and have been getting compliments every day since on how shiny they look. I don't get my nails done frequently because of several bad experiences. I didn't want anything fancy or gel or acrylic nails, just a basic manicure and basic pedicure. They have decent prices for that- $35 for basic pedicure and $20 for basic manicure. You still get the massage chair, the lotions, the leg and hand massage and the same care as if you were getting a more spendy option. I was impressed. No cut up cuticles, no pain, friendly staff and I literally walked in and walked out in 45 mins (my son was waiting with me so I actually didn't have an extreme amount of time). They did both hands and feet at the same time which is totally fine with me. Overall, I'd come here again and I might make this a more regular thing. read more

She's considered by many to be one of the best technician there and a very loving individual who takes the additional care and attention to detail with all her customers. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, she will be moving on. If you'd like to see Noke in the future you can visit her at Grand Nail Spa in the Sears Mall. I am a client that has had the great opportunity to know Noke and have her do my nails. they guy that did my pedicure was amazing super nice and patient bc im v ticklish and pits my sandles on for me he also does an amazing job w normal non g nail polish. the lady who did my nails was very nice but messed up my nails. i think they arent used to people not doing gel or smthn bc she would not wait to put base coat, nail polish, top coat and it all got super messy and thick. also a good lot of my nail wasnt even covered in polish. i also bled a bit with the cuticle cutter but that wasnt rlly a huge issue just a tad unprofessional. i mentioned to the lady that i would like her to try and get all of my nail covered with the polish and she was fine abt it. but at the end it was so messy i complained to my mom bc i didnt wanna cause problems and she mentioned it to the lady for at least a few of the nails to be redone. then they all started yelling at eachother in a language i didnt understand she made it slightly better. also my moms experience was similar the toe nails were fine but the lady doing her fingers wouldnt cover her whole nail and was very pushy about my mom getting gel which she stated she doesnt like bc it damages her nails. the lady said regular nail polish only lasts a day. which mad us skeptical bc if the nail polish isnt old it should last longer. in conclusion. the pedicure was amazing the guy was really good at it and the quality was perfect. the finger nails were a completely different story tho. honestly disappointing because it was for a special occasion. dont think i will be coming back for a manicure read more

This place is dirty and falling apart. The couch in the waiting area gives me the creeps, it is filthy. The place is usually pretty empty so never have to wait. I usually find the staff sleeping, one on the couch and one at her station. They act as though I have interrupted a good nap. They rush my pedicure. Never get a foot massage. I have gone there off and on since they opened. In the beginning they were great. Very attentive but over the years have gone downhill. I won't be going back until and if they clean the place up and learn some manners. Hope they do, because they are in a good location. read more

This was the third place I'd been to the day I went and everywhere was packed, including them! They got me right in! I waited less 10 minutes which was perfect for me to pick out a color. Highly priced place! They charge $15 more than other shops. They don't know how to work with gel polish. Massage lasted maybe less than a minute service is terrible. I would never go there again and don't recommend to anyone. read more
