Went here today. Definitely not the cleanest of places but if your looking for cheap this is the place for you. She cut my toe nails too short and they are now a little painful as well as my cuticles being over cut and they too now ache...I got a pedicure and I watched her take this old dirty scrub thing out of her pack...I thought to myself maybe it's just old not dirty, after she used it on me, she rinsed it off in my water and put it BACK in the same bucket which she put away for later use...just FYI! If you don't have a lot of cash but need a last min thing for nails this place is ok, I'll update if I end up with an infection. UPDATE: Day 2 and one nail has already broke. Very very cheaply done... UPDATE 2: I am now a week in and have 3 nails pop off on my left hand and two are loose about to pop off on my right hand. DO NOT go here! read more

The foot bath was what I needed after hours of hiking in the snow. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because my friend wasn't as happy since she was charged a bit more than she thought and her nails started to chip the next day. I've been having problems finding a nice nail salon for a year now until my friend told me about this place she had been going to for years now. So I decided to check it out. I went here last Friday to get a full set. I have to admit that I was very nervous because most of the salons I have gone to just file my nails down and shave off my cuticles till they get blood or I jerk my hand away cause they got my skin on the electronic tool. I was greeted like she wanted to help me and not rushing me and keep asking me every minute what do you want, like most of the salons have done in the past. I told her I wanted a full set french style. She was a little hard to understand at times but otherwise she was very pleasant to talk with and was very gentle with my hands, easing away my nervousness right away. Within 45 minutes I was out of there and heading home. Meme was the ladies name. I'm not sure if Meme is the owner or not but I will never go to a different nail salon after my visit to Top Nails!! Totally underrated place, they have great service and they don't take forever to do your nails. They're very friendly and while their nail polish collection isn't a lot, it's sufficient. they also do not overcharge at all which i really appreciate as all the other places i've been to overcharge all the time. I got designs on mine and it was only $35 which is an incredibly good deal! would recommend to anyone looking for a hidden gem. this place does manicures for only $13! read more

The staff was very friendly, but their work is not good. I took a chance on this place but I don't think ill be returning. I got an acrylic fill and I kept having to tell them to file the sides because the acrylic had spread to my finger. Even when I told them, I had to tell them again because some nails were still not working out for me. Even then when I got home I had to file my nails my self. Also the shaping of my nail was terrible they were all different shapes and sizes. The lady thick layers of nail polish and well everyone knows it takes years to dry if you put 3 thick layers of nail polish. read more

This was the worst nail salon I've visited in Anchorage. My manicurist rushed throughout the whole thing. My color choice did not turn out the way it was on the swatch. I left with cuts on my fingers and polish all over my hands. Half way through the manicure, I asked why she didn't fix my cuticles or shape my nails and she rudely responded, "well you didn't ASK for a manicure". Okay, lol as if getting $50 gel polish on your nails doesn't require a little cuticle push back.. anyways. The lady didn't cut my cuticles, when she painted my nails, she only put one coat on and she didnt even paint the sides of my nails. I was really hopeful that this place would be good because it's in a great location for where I live, but no. I got a full set of solar nails and they looked great for about 2 days then they started popping up from the bottom! I went back and had them filled only for them to start popping off from the top...I gave them one last chance and the tech (same lady as the first 2 times) trimmed my cuticle skin - no problem at all - but she did such a poor job of filling my nails, without the guideline of my cuticle apparently, that within HOURS the product was chipping off from the bottom. My daughter tried informing the lady that is not what she wanted an the lady would not listen to her concern or fix them. When I went back to discuss this issue with them they refused to work with me in regards to resolving this issue. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone get there nails done here!
