Really puts the toast in toastique (okay, bad mom joke, BUT seriously so burnt)
    Jessica M.

Stopped by with my husband to grab some coffees. My husband took a sip and burnt his tongue. He said it was hotter than the sun so wait to drink yours. I got the blue sea foam latte with soy milk. When I took a sip, all I could taste was burnt soy milk and bitter coffee. My husband thought the same and we both threw our drinks out without drinking them.

Amazing service, food and ambiance! The best part was our waiter Aaron. He provided amazing customer service. He is super friendly and made me and my friends feel welcomed :)

Came here with a party of 10 to 15 ladies, and I was pleasantly surprised that there was enough seating outside for us at the longer table. I'm usually not a fan of avocado toast because I think they can be overpriced. But Toastique's toasts feel worth the price. Well not exclusively, avocado toast they offer a variety of toast that are piled high sometimes with fruit sometimes with veggies and a lot of creative inspiration. Additionally, their fresh juices are so tasty and have a beautiful color to them. I ordered the Radiance juice and it was so refreshing. I also ordered the spicy crab toast. It took a little while for it to be prepared and was so delicious. I could've easily ordered a couple more. These toasts are piled high with ingredients that they're meant to be eaten with a fork and knife, which helps you savor them. I wish you didn't have to pay for parking at this location, but this is typical for LA.

Stopped by Toastique in Hollywood and ordered the Original Avocado Toast, and it seriously hit the spot. It was fresh, flavorful, and way more filling than I expected--in the best way. Perfectly toasted bread, creamy avocado, and just the right balance of seasoning. This is one of those places that feels light but still keeps you full, which I love. Everything tasted high quality and thoughtfully put together. Great option whether you're grabbing breakfast, brunch, or a quick bite that won't leave you hungry an hour later.

This is now my favorite restaurant for any type of avocado toast! My friend and I were searching for a healthy breakfast spot and stumbled on this amazing establishment. Firstly, I love the decor of the place. It looks so clean inside and I love the hints of gold and plant life hiding around the restaurant. There's numerous places to sit, inside and outside and it's the perfect location of any large amount of people. I ordered the smoked salmon avocado dish and it was delicious. It was super fresh and the capers and other vegetables on top gave such a burst of flavor, I was also able to sample some of the juices which were delicious and full of flavor. The staff were amazing. They took the time to explain the menu and gave me their recommendations. I was happy with my order and everything came out quick and delicious. I will definitely be back.

I came back here before a hike for a pre-meal. Street parking was pretty easy right out front and this spot is conveniently located next to the Hollywood Palladium too. You order at the counter and they'll bring out your food so it's a more casual spot. Lot of windows and bright with seating indoors and some nice outdoor seating if weather permits. The staff were friendly, quit, and gave good recommendations. I got the 3 Cheese Italian Toast which has prosciutto, melted swiss and fontina cheese with roasted garlic onion jam, topped with dressed arugula on jalapeño cheddar toast. To start, the toast looks beautiful - it's a loaded toast for sure! It's a little messy to eat as any open face sandwich, but I'd rather have that with plentiful toppings than the opposite, especially for the price. If you want a savory toast, the 3 Cheese is for you. I also ordered the Blue Mystique Bowl which has a blend of banana, mango, pineapple, blue spirulina & almond milk topped with granola, banana, pineapple, coconut flakes, with a drizzle of honey. It was refreshing the blue color is beautiful. Overall the taste was OK, but melted quite quickly. Would definitely come back for the toast!

A bit of a circus as far as moving the line goes. Overall, I loved the healthy beverage options. Pricy though. I was very pleased to see crab on the menu. Fairly priced. Somewhat fishy this time on this day, but overall the style and simplicity of the dish is what I go for in terms of fast casual breakfast. I'll ask they cut mine in bitable portions on a less busy morning. The staff was very friendly.

Loved coming here for a quick and healthy meal. My friend and I were going on a night hike and wanted to fuel up before our trek. I ordered the smoked salmon gourmet toast and she ordered a black mystique bowl, 3 cheese Italian gourmet toast and a blue spirulina matcha. All of the items we ordered were made to order so it takes a little bit of time but it's all so fresh and yummy. The toasts were loaded and came on nice slabs of toasted bread. I loved how bright the capers made the smoked salmon toast. The 3 cheese Italian was so hearty. The black mystique bowl was so refreshing on the hot day. I loved all the fresh fruits on it. The service was amazing and the restaurant is nice and bright and airy, lots of natural light. There is plenty of seating since they have indoor and outdoor seating. I could see the outdoor patio being really popular during brunch hours. The location is in Hollywood right by the palladium so it's perfect for a quick bite before a show. There's tons of metered street parking and it wasn't too difficult for my friend and I to find a spot just outside. They do close a bit early though (which makes sense since the food is more brunch than dinner) so just check the hours before you go. Overall, I really enjoyed having a nice fresh healthy option in Hollywood and can't wait to be back!

Just grabbed a coffee here. Parking can be tough in this area. I just saw metered parking. Ordered a vanilla latte. Sweet at first so make sure you mix. I'd like to try the food soon!

I'd been here twice already and loved both of my visits here. The store has both inside seating and a nice big patio in the front of the store. The patio is perfect for business meetings or group gatherings. Service is fast and staff are friendly. On my first visit, I had the smoked salmon toast and spicy crab toast on my second visit. Both were excellent paired with hot coffee or matcha, my choice of drinks on each visit. The portions were generous which could be shared by two of you order an extra bread which costs only $2.

Healthful food CAN be tasty! Toastique is the proof of that! Innovative and well-constructed "toasts" topped with yummy goodness like pastrami smoked salmon with cucumber slices, tomato and burrata, 3-cheese Italian, and ... of course avocado! They serve fruit and veggie juices and smoothies in addition to coffees and teas. All lovingly made and served with smiles! There are plenty of seats inside and a huge outdoor patio on two sides of the building where groups can gather after ordering their food and beverages. Toastique is a very comfortable place to have a meeting and/or hand out with friends!

I love stopping by this spot during my lunch break. The employees are always so friendly and in good moods. I've tried their vanilla lattes and also a fun sea foam latte which was unique but surprisingly good. They have seating inside and outside and overall it's a nice clean coffee shop.

I ordered the Tropics smoothie which has Mango, Gojiberry, Pineapple, Maca, Chia Gel, spinach, and orange juice, as well as one Aqua shot which is Spirulina, Lemon, Chorella, and they added ginger for me! While I waited I browsed the shelves, I really love the dried hanging herbs on the wall and they have some cool books too. My Aqua shot was a beautiful dark teal color with an apple slice on top in this super cool skull glass. I initially sipped it but then I went for it and threw it down. I actually really liked it with the added ginger because it woke me up and made me feel extra healthy. On my way home I sipped on the Tropics Smoothie. I would say my first taste I think I still had Aqua shot taste in my mouth so initially the smoothie tasted extremely earthy to me. However with each additional sip, the smoothie got sweeter and by the time I finished it was pretty delicious. The name is... He turns to go check and may have said something minimal. I can't remember. I do remember he never made eye contact. He must've said it's coming or something. I go back towards the front to wait. Another man enters, who is greeted by a different employee. Kindly. Takes care of the guy and even says have a good day. That same, second man brings me my to-go order. Doesn't say have a good day. I mean it's not like it's not possible, right. Don't gaslight me. I just 2 different people treat 2 different people better than I was. I check my bag and ask for utensils. He gets them. That's it. I decide to call after I left. Mind you parking stinks around this area. I would never think to come here to struggle and pay for parking and deal with bad customer service and food that is mid at best. The manager, a lady, wasn't much better. She apparently was sitting in the store and remembered me and the color I was wearing. She's basically like I saw you. I don't know what happened. I'll have to check with my staff because we don't discriminate. Mind you, ai didn't mention race. Was it because I was black? Perhaps because I was a woman? I will never know. What I do know is I was treated differently real time. Looked past. Given a lower level of priority and reception. But I'm puzzled that if this manager saw 3 very different interactions, why didn't she intervene. People have built in biased whether they are aware of it or not. And there is a difference between intent and impact. I did not feel seen. I did not feel empathy. She offered a free drink. She apologized. But it didn't feel heartfelt or sincere. You know how when you can tell when they are genuinely disappointed and want to really make it right. I told her that I didn't even live in the area and wasn't thrilled about returning. I won't return. And as I said the coffee and food was mid. Do better.

I didn't mean to come here. I genuinely thought I was going to the WeHo store lol. All good, got to…read morecheck another location off the list, leaving 2 stores I haven't been to. To be fair, I tried to check out B Hills but it was chaotic af, I was doing a test drive and didn't want anything to happen to the car trying to find parking so I said screw it. This may be as close as I get and that's fine. I know it's a photo op for many, but this is my market of choice. I truly am a fan. Thankfully parking was easier here, I got a spot by the door and went in. Given that it was a Sunday, I appreciated it. I know it's the OG so it's nice to finally pay my respects. Understandably the layouts a bit different and I'm here for it. I'm not used to seeing the soup right by the door. I got some broccoli at the hot bar I'd never seen before, yum! I wish I saw it more. They had my beef chili, eggs I've never seen. Though I'm over the hold my beer on egg prices. I tap out with my $15 Erewhon dozen. Store was clean as always, staff was kind, loads of people as always, but I didn't need priority checkout bc the line was nonexistent when I checked out. It was probably harder to get out than in, but nothing I don't deal w at the Pasadena store. I still want to go back to WeHo, but I'm happy I finally made it here. Is this place part of my personality, ya. Do I care, nope! I'll come back, especially if I get confused about which store I'm going to lol.

Now that they've been around for a number of years, it's a well known fact that Erewhon is as…read morefamous for their celebrity endorsed smoothies as they are notorious for their astronomical prices. If a trip to Whole Foods earns them the nickname "Whole Paycheck", Erewhon will probably cost you your monthly rent. And yet, like a moth to a flame, I couldn't help but make a trip here to check out their wildly popular (and expensive) smoothies! Wandering through the aisles, Erewhon has all of the basics you would expect to find at a market, but a lot of the brands they carry aren't the typical mainstream ones you'll find at most other supermarkets. In a sense, they're like the Whole Foods of Whole Foods, as they almost exclusively feature premium/luxury brands that position themselves as being more "health focused". While that sort of claim can be relative (e.g. lower calories, but higher sodium), there's no question that the quality of their fresh produce, meats, and seafood definitely looked pretty legit, with a lot of products that are organic, free-range, cage-free, hormone-free, etc. As for the aforementioned smoothies that so many folks both praise and complain about, they're made fresh to order from their tonic bar that sits in the middle store - easy to find, but inconvenient to navigate past. With over a dozen different pre-set flavors/combinations to choose from, along with the option to customize and/or create your own, the menu has so much to offer. What's more, if you aren't in the mood for one of their smoothies, they also have freshly pressed juices, coffees, and teas. Even though their Strawberry Glaze Smoothie is easily their most popular smoothie (and best, according to Hailey Bieber), we opted to try their MALIBU MANGO SMOOTHIE ($21) instead. Based purely on taste, this actually wasn't too shabby - It had a nice punch of mango flavor and the consistency was smooth with just the right thickness to it. Plus, I liked how creamy both the texture and taste was and how it wasn't overly sweet. That being said, after tax/tip, did it taste $28 good? No. Although there wasn't anything inherently "bad" with this, it didn't taste all that different from the one I can get by my place in SF that costs me less than half as much. Despite how expensive the smoothie was, which at least I was already prepared for, the thing that really took us by surprise was how long it took for it to be made. Granted, this location might be an outlier, as its proximity to The Grove probably contributes to the number of people that were here, but I never would've guessed we'd have to wait almost half an hour for our order. Since I don't live anywhere near an Erewhon, I can't say if/when I would come back, but I certainly wouldn't entirely rule it out, as I liked the smoothie we got and I'm genuinely curious about the Strawberry Glaze one as well as some of their prepared foods. However, for how much it would set me back, it'll probably have to come after the next time I get a bonus or a raise so I can feel a little better about the splurge. Four stars for taste and the quality of what Erewhon has, but two stars, at best, for value, so three it is.
