    Mango Matcha Latte (16 oz)
    Kay O.

Honestly, after driving from the Bay Area to LA in a day, I was very dehydrated. Then walking around Hollywood I really wanted something to drink! We came across this cute little spot in the middle of a mall area and I got a mango Matcha, which sounded like it would hit the spot. The lady gave me the drink, and honestly, even though I was dehydrated and dying of thirst, the drink did not taste very good at all. I'm kind of picky when it comes to Matcha as well as the freshness of mango, but it just tasted very bland. Plus, I had horrible cottonmouth from the drive so maybe it just wasn't quenching my thirst the right way?! I guess it was a liquid for my body, but it really didn't taste that good. I don't think I will go back to this particular place again, but there are solubles looked good so maybe if I did, I would get one of their açai bowls instead of their Matcha lattes with almond milk.

OAKBERRY is my favorite grab and go acai smoothie bowls! The ingredients are so fresh, the server's are generally so kind and I'm so glad they have more locations in Los Angeles! I usually don't eat inside since most locations are smaller in size, but I always like how the place is decorated.

The organization and positive vibes! Everyone relaxing and refreshing with superfood. Favorite part was the bowl with passion fruit and strawberry!

Early Thursday afternoon, the sky was overcast, and a sudden chill would sweep through every now and again. Great time for an açaí bowl then, no? As part of the TCM Classic Film Festival, this was one of the restaurants available for staff. The man at the counter recommended the Golden Almonds as something that'd be satiating. Three folks were behind the counter waiting with bated breath on whether I'd purchase something. Why the heck not, I thought. He also recommended a box of Peanut Butter Bites, which he mentioned came from his hometown of Brazil. We also ended up chatting about the festival and the fact that their business was fairly new. The açaí bowl came in a 24 oz cup size called The Oak. Beautifully and carefully crafted, the creation was every bit as refreshing and satisfying I'd hope. In addition to the açaí, there was collagen, almond butter, almonds, strawberries and blueberries. Then there were the peanut butter bites which tasted smooth and mildly sweet. The food and service were definitely exceptional and filling, though the total price was higher than what I would usually spend at about $22. Still, come summertime and I wouldn't mind another cup myself.

I've first went one of their original locations in Iguaçu, Brazil and then started seeing them pop up everywhere out here in LA. I came with my cousins, we enjoyed our drinks, we were in the mood for ice cream or something and this was perfect. The gentleman who attended us was very nice and helpful. The place is clean and we sat outside in the shared seating area.

I would not recommend the order ahead in the app as there are items out of stock that are not conveyed in the app. I used the app and was not informed that there were no strawberries or bananas.

Curries, noodles, soups, etc. We went with fried tofu as the protein option. And got Spicy Eggplant as one dish and Spicy Mongolian as the other. Along with Spicy Dumplings for appetizers and Jasmine rice for the entrees. Oh, and a peanut butter, chocolate vegan cookie. There are a few tables, cute décor and really good music playing. It was quick and easy to order. The lady who took the order was very nice and helpful. But disappeared once the food was ordered. After a bit, she came back out with a heavy bag full of wonderful goodness. We headed home and opened the bag after having to smell it for the 5 minute drive home. The containers held a good amount of food. Enough for a few meals. The potstickers were very good. Had a good amount of flavor and heat. We should have eaten at the restaurant as the dumpling wrapper was starting to fall apart, but that was our fault. Both the Spicy Eggplant and Mongolian dishes were flavorful and well made. Nothing over cooked, they had rich flavor and we would both gladly order again. The rice was cooked properly and was stuffed into the container. And the cookie. I am so in awe of good, vegan cookies. They are so easy to make wrong. This was so good. A great way to wrap up a really good and filling meal.

It was clean just visually stimulating. I would definitely come back here anytime I go to Universal. I always like supporting local and truly it's a gem. The kind of dish where you keep saying "one more bite" and suddenly you're scraping the container wondering where it all went. Major bonus points for the generous chunks of eggplant. As an eggplant enthusiast, I felt seen. Was I secretly hoping for Thai eggplant? Yes. Did that stop me from inhaling the entire curry like it owed me money? Absolutely not. Pickup was fast, and I think I met the owner when he handed me my order. Super nice guy! The food was amazing, the service was warm, and now I've accidentally created a new problem for myself because I'm already planning my next order. 10/10. Send curry. I'll be back.

The restaurant was basically empty, but the man who "served" us was so weird and rude... he was acting as if he was extremely busy and the way he was speaking to me from the moment I walked in was extremely rude and lowkey aggressive. I ordered sparkling rose and he brought me what looked like prosecco- I said is this rose? He literally acted like I came in there every day annoying him or something... it was truly strange. He insisted it was rose (it wasn't rose colored ) Anyway it wasn't the rose that was the problem, it was the way this weirdo was acting. It's hard to explain it bc it was so weird but I was SO UNCOMFORTABLE I insisted we leave. By the way, we'd been there for five minutes. We went to superba instead and it was such a better vibe. My husband has type 1 diabetes so we very rarely eat at Italian ristorantes. Chef Tara has helped us rediscover a new world of flavor without negative impacts on my husband's blood sugar and cholesterol. (Thanks for the variety of non-dairy cheeses!!) Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. The drip coffee was decent, not my favorite but got the job done and they were good about refills. The lox bagel was light, easy on the cream cheese, and had the toppings that make a lox just right. Our server was extremely attentive even through the busyness. My only qualm was the 20% large party charge on our bill despite us splitting our group, sitting on different tables, and getting two separate checks.
