I haven't posted a review in forever but I felt compelled to right now. The employee making the bowls was rude and curt (black girl with braces). I didn't even say anything besides what I wanted (in a friendly manner) -- I did not ask questions, did not ask for extras, or be any kind of "annoying customer" holding up the line - I was basically the most unremarkable but polite customer, yet she still had an attitude. Even the guy behind me at the line, when we were both at the utensil area, asked me "Is it always like that here?". I guess he got the same treatment and felt the same way I did. I usually love CAVA but have not had good experiences at this location. During my last visit, the workers seemed put out. I had asked for chicken in my bowl but the workers informed me that they were out of chicken. When we asked how long the wait would be for chicken they said that they weren't making more because they were closing early, it was just before 3pm? The worker then offered the Harrissa Chicken which I was skeptical about because I don't really like honey but they confirmed that it was the only chicken option available. When I got to the check out, I saw that our bowls cost more than normal so I asked about it and they said it was because the Harissa Chicken is an upcharge. I asked that since the worker said there wasn't any grilled chicken available and that they had suggested the Harissa Chicken instead, if it was still an upcharge and they said yes. I didn't appreciate the overall customer service of the experience (it seemed like everyone really wanted to leave) and feeling like I was tricked into an upcharge. It was my first time at CAVA and I would recommend if it's your first time, to order a bowl odd the menu rather than a build your own (BYO) since it's difficult to predict how the flavor combinations will work together, especially since there are so many things to choose -- a bit overwhelming. But alas, I did a BYO and there were more sour flavors and not enough salty and sweet to balance. I wish it was clearer that when you order half a serving of a protein that has extra cost, they will charge you the full amount (as if you got a whole serving). I'm a big fan of cava, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Insanely slow service, staff didn't acknowledge me or the girl next to me for almost 10 minutes. Had an order placed to be ready at 8:15. Didn't get it until 8:36. They didn't give me a drink cup with my order, had to wait additionally for that. Tried food in the car and all of it is cold. It looks like I'll have to go to the USC location. read more

Cava overall is a great place to eat, but this location has been absolutely terrible. The workers have no sense of urgency. The food when picked up is always freezing cold, stale pita chips, and hardly any protein is being put in the bowls. Such a plus that Cava gives you unlimited toppings! My absolute fav dressings are the yogurt dill and garlic. I fell in love with Cava while I was in Atlanta. This LA location didn't disappoint. I just wrapped up with an event across the street, and needed to grab a bite. The parking situation was a nightmare, and I had no idea where to park. There was a garage attached to the building, but the attendant said you can't park there for Cava. The workers did seem ever so slightly annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted. I had only been to one in Atlanta, and it had been a while, so I was still unfamiliar with the bowls. Anyway, it was still delicious. I do wish the bowls were crafted in a way where you can see where things are. My bowl felt like it was missing something for there to be a savory/sweet balance the whole time I was eating, and then I got to this last part that had a huge chunk of some sort of garlic-y paste that I would've distributed more evenly if I saw it. The corn pretty much covered everything, but I guess they expect you to just mix it all before you eat. Anyway, the location was super clean. Service was super quick. Travel plans had me passing through LAX on my way back to MSP, and to my surprise, I found myself right next to a CAVA! Let's just say ... goodness in a bowl. I ordered my usual: the Steak & Harissa Bowl (minus the tomatoes) and it was everything. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. CAVA really knows how to deliver bold, satisfying flavors in a fast-casual setting. If you have a CAVA near you, run, don't walk. Unfortunately, Minneapolis hasn't caught on yet ... either they're missing the memo or CAVA is being a little stingy about expanding. I usually get a salad bowl with falafel, red pepper hummus, harissa and tzatziki, all the veggies, pita crisps and tahini. The falafel is always warm and crispy. The worst experience I've ever had at any CAVA. The customer service was shockingly bad and outright rude. The manager began cleaning, packing up, and draining the drink station well before closing time, making it clear they didn't want customers there. I ordered a bowl and was double-charged for a half-and-half option, then had to beg just to receive a quarter pita. To my knowledge, every other CAVA serves a bowl with at least half a pita included. Nothing about this experience aligned with the brand's standards. The staff's attitude was dismissive and unprofessional from start to finish. The portions have decreased never have we once complained about this location but now I am. Also missing ingredients on my usual chicken and rice I love cucumber well this time it didn't love me because it was not added at all. Idk lacks there in this location but they need to fix it asap. It's disappointing paying so much already on uber eats delivery sub charges for us to receive small hand portion food that does not fill up our bowls no more. I don't typically write them but today I went into Kaba and I ordered a harissa chicken bowl when I got to the register I told the person who was ringing me up he was a male I said " I know this is gonna be really annoying, but do you think that I could have a fresh order of chips, please?" he then informed me that the manager had declined the person who requested the same before me but did tell me the chips were sitting out for a while and might be stale so i said "do you think I can ask your manager" and he proceeded to calling her over when she came to the register she immediately looks around and goes "WHO?" and im like "hey sorry it was me i was just wondering if i can have a fresh order of chips" and she tells me no that the chips aren't promoted as warm they're just made for dipping and i told her " oh I usually ask and there's no issue but he did tell me they were sitting out so I figured I'd ask but it's okay I'll take the ' stale' chips" and she says NOTHING walks off and ignores me and starting waving her hands like she's telling the other worker about it.... Then i asked for her name and the guy told me it was raven and soon after I went to put iced water in my bottle and she came over to like check inventory under the machine then she says "excuse me" with an attitude and I turned around and I'm just like "hey I'm sorry what was your name?" and she told me it's Elizabeth.... Like why would you lie unless you know you were wrong in the situation?
