    Harvest chicken salad
    Timm R.

Always tasty and fresh. The staff are nice and welcoming. The harvest chicken salad is delicious. You can watch your salad being made and eat in a nice, open dining area.

Inedible mac & cheese. So hard and dried out
    Jessica Z.

I'm not sure if the Hollywood location is just severely lacking or if the whole Tender Greens chain is going downhill, but this was a huge disappointment. I ordered the steak plate with beans and salad and the whole thing was so average and completely lacking in flavor. The beans were egregiously hot while the steak was barely warm, which made no sense. My boyfriend got the Cali Bowl with chicken and then sides of salmon and mac & cheese. The chicken was full of fat and weird bits, and the mac & cheese was dried out and hard -- honestly inedible. If we weren't on a time crunch, I would've had them remake the Mac & cheese. Service was also just... strange. Despite the food arriving lukewarm, it took about 25 minutes to get our order, and the server was awkward and off-putting. There were six employees standing around and barely anyone in the restaurant, so I really don't understand the delay or lack of care. Please skip this location. I've always liked Tender Greens and the variety they offer, but this spot missed the mark in every possible way. I'm hoping other locations haven't fallen this far.

Harvest Chicken Salad - SO good and fresh!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time stopping by Tender Greens in Hollywood. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond for us. Isabelle patiently took our order and regretfully informed me that they had run out of the salad that I wanted to try (Beet and Burrata), but immediately offered me to pick any salad from their menu. I got the Harvest Chicken Salad and they added in beets for me! It was sooo delicious and you could tell how fresh all the ingredients were. The staff was very accommodating and we felt very welcome there. Alex came over to check on us and offered to grab us a beverage, which was so thoughtful! Thanks to Isabelle, Alex, and Elisabeth for making our visit to Tender Greens so memorable! We will definitely be back to try the Beets and Burrata salad

    hibiscus tea drink

I really enjoyed visiting Tender Greens in hollywood. The restaurant itself is very large with a ton of seating. I felt it was very clean besides some plates from customers but it was also very busy so I don't hold that against the workers. The entire staff was working really hard and were all really friendly. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and a hibiscus tea. Personally the hibiscus tea was too sugary, I prefer just a tea based drink but my friends enjoyed theirs. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be coming back for another one.

I wanted to try something new so I got the Chicken Pesto sandwich and the woman who took my order reassured me on the deliciousness of the sandwich. She was right, and so kind!! We talked about her birthday coming up on the 25th. The staff here was so kind, both the woman who took my order and the man who brought me my meal and checked in. The hot sauce and ranch here is superb Also, shout out to whoever was on aux because they were playing great hits. Clean eating space and great natural light.

Service was impeccable. The host and servers were attentive to us to see if everything was okay. Food was delicious and all that came out from the kitchen. It seemed intimidating when I saw chili crisp in a lot of dishes on the menu. However, that wasn't the case when we received the dishes. Each dish had other ingredients that married well with the chili crisp, allowing it to have a small hint of it there without overpowering the dish.

Great sampler plate - the pickled onions and jalapeños added that kick to the mousse. I have no idea how they make the crumpets, but I could have eaten 5 of those. The tomatoes on top of the mousse were delightful. 2. POTATO CREPE: Our server said this was one of their most popular dishes and it did not disappoint. It honors the original Banh Xeo while offering a fun "brunch" twist with the crispy potato shell. Admittedly a little oily and messy, but I can get down. 3. HOUSE MAPLE SAUSAGE: We knew we needed a little bit more in our order but didn't want to commit to a full dish, so that's where the sausage came into play. Definitely should try this with the crumpet and pickled veggies. 4. OOEY GOOEY CINNABON: The cinnabon was unfortunately a bust - it honestly just reminded me of cinnabon, but with no unique twist or flair that I could note. I would skip this and maybe try the pb&j sourdough pancakes instead. SERVICE (5/5): Service was good! AMBIENCE (5/5): Fun brunch spot with options for outdoor seating. The interior is nicely decorated and feels very open. PARKING (3/5): Street parking - managed to snag something on a Sunday. TAKEAWAYS: I've had two experiences at Girl & the Goat so far - one for dinner and one for brunch - and I think I preferred the brunch experience by far. Enough so that I'm considering revisiting their dinner menu to see if they've changed or I've changed... who knows?

Their salads are actually great (this is coming from me, usually a salad hater.) The potato appetizers. Now from the entrees: I was pretty shocked by the eggs benedict popover and the bacon steak. Namely because these are generally pretty straightforward brunch dishes, but they were just so much better here than other places I've had them. I don't know what the secret is for the benedict popover - is it something they put in the benedict sauce? The way the ingredients come together? Whatever it is, it's perfect. For the bacon steak - it cut like butter, and wasn't too salty, sweet, or chewy / thick. So good! The service has also been great here each time I've come, both in a large party (10+ people) and in a small group. The food somehow still comes out when you expect it to and the staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations recommended especially for big groups!

California offered an immediate rush of light, space, and possibility. My memory is that when I turned my phone back on at LAX, my friend messaged to say he'd gotten us the hookup at Bestia. That dinner belongs to a chapter in which I spent considerable time in California and felt energized by the contrast with New York. My friend is highly discerning, with impeccable taste in food, design, and culture. He notices details most people miss, so when a place impresses him, I pay attention. From the moment I saw his message, I knew the reservation meant something. Even before we entered, Bestia's character was evident. Faded lettering crossed the corrugated metal facade, while brick walls and old loading doors preserved the warehouse's industrial history. Inside, enormous windows and garage doors brought light into a room shaped by glass, exposed ductwork, and warm amber pendants. When I fantasize about living in a loft, many of the attributes I picture are here, especially the incredible windows and connection to the street. Inside the restaurant, the dining room achieved a combination I rarely encounter. It had the table density and collective buzz of a great New York restaurant, but within a large, design-forward space closer in scale to something found in Chicago. New York creates energy through tight rooms, while Chicago excels at ambitious spaces with strong architectural identities. Bestia captured both advantages and made its considerable footprint feel alive and unified. We sat shoulder to shoulder at a pale stone counter facing the open kitchen. Golden era hip hop was playing, and A Tribe Called Quest still rings a very specific bell. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and it was exquisite, with enough depth and precision to command attention amid everything happening around us. We also spotted an unmistakably A-list celebrity, whom I will leave unnamed, making the night feel quintessentially Los Angeles. During that period, I often stayed at the Ace Hotel downtown, and the Arts District felt vibrant, raw, and full of possibility. The proximity to Skid Row could be deeply jarring, with severe hardship existing beside ambitious development and expensive restaurants. That contrast kept the neighborhood from feeling like a neat story of urban renewal, even as Bestia seemed to anchor its evolution. The warehouses and loading docks gave the area a character that no new development could convincingly recreate. Nearby, I also remember the American Apparel complex during its demise and the rise of impossibly cool Los Angeles designer John Elliott. His Escobar sweatpants and Villain hoodie helped define the kit of that moment; loyalists will understand. Los Angeles is a fickle city, drawn toward whatever is new and shiny, which makes Bestia's longevity especially impressive. Scene without substance is plastic, and Bestia earned its electricity through exceptional cooking, assured service, and a remarkable space; if I lived in Los Angeles, this would be one of the places I'd rely on whenever I wanted to impress someone. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

The yellow peaches salad was great. The peaches were sweet with the farmers cheese that's similar to feta cheese. Loved the basil that complimented the two flavors. The Oysters were absolutely a 10/10, probably 12/10 for us. These were delish! I will have to order these again if they still have it on the menu. It was a delight to know that this is often not on the menu so we were so happy to try it! - Main: Mushroom crusted pork chop. pork chop was cooked beautifully and it was so juicy! the crust is on the saltier side which tasted well with the charred lemon. - Dessert: Stone fruit and blackberry cobbler. It comes with a scoop of their ice cream. The crust on this dessert is so yummy. it was the favorite thing about the dish. Little things to note - Parking: I think they have valet but we found street parking. I was finally able to snag a reservation for this place and it made the excitement even greater…read more Being all of over social media as one of the hottest spots and booked a month out, made my expectations very high. That being said.. there were some pros and cons. First off, parking is tricky. The location isn't in the best spot for a lot of street parking. My husband and I, luckily arrived earlier than our reservation time and circled a few times. We got lucky with a spot but we had to walk a couple blocks. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or girls night. Super cozy and cute inside. There was a lot of staff and each person has a different role it seems. A lot of servers are on hand and different people come out with the food and take away your plates after each course. So it was a lot of people coming and going. Some of the staff was great and super friendly but others were a bit standoffish so you couldn't tell their mood. Our main server was great though! Now for the food... The cornbread was divine and just met all of our expectations. The pork and green chili stew was amazing! The tortillas were so chewy and yet a little crispy. The stew was spicy but cheesy with tender pork. It was delicious. The mushroom crusted pork chop was super tender and it was unique. I have never had pork chop like it and it was great. It was oily and definitely regretted not getting a fresh veggie side. We got the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. It was great. The green beans were salty and wasn't my favorite. THE ALL-STAR! STICKY BREAD PUDDING! I can't even describe it... just make sure to order it. You will not regret it. We went on a pretty hot day over the weekend and it was warm inside. With the open fire in the dining area I suppose it makes it difficult for the restaurant to be cool.
