I love that they have other alternatives such as having the burger paleo-style (no bun) and protein pack salads. I've eaten at several different Burger Lounge locations throughout Los Angeles and I've never once had a bad experience. Tonight was the first visit at the Larchmont Village location and the place was super busy. The staff had the line moving quickly. We thought everyone was super friendly and attentive who worked that night. Good energy. There was three of us. Two of us ordered from the "Inflation Fighter" menu which is currently "The Classic." A Grass-Fed Burger with American Cheese, organic ketchup, mustard, tomato, onions, and pickles with a tangy sauce. We ordered one with fries and one with onion rings. Our friend ordered the "Grilled Chicken Club" Sandwich with Swiss Cheese and Bacon. We all loved our meals. Everything was fresh and warm. Though we didn't order one tonight, BL has great milkshakes made with really good ice cream. You definitely can't go wrong with Burger Lounge. There were a few bumps along the way: my burger patty was undercooked, and my wife's order came out completely wrong but the staff immediately stepped up, fixed both issues on the spot, and made things right. That kind of service is what really matters at the end of the day. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy, though the sidewalk seating is a bit cramped and not particularly comfy. Thankfully, there are a few better tables right outside the entrance that can seat a few folks comfortably. This time around, I skipped the bun and tried their paleo burger, which was basically a patty wrapped in lettuce. Fries were as good as ever, but I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. All in all, even with the initial mistakes, the staff's willingness to fix everything quickly (and the tasty food) made this another success. I recommend ordering through the website so the business can take 100% of its profit. My go to is a lettuce wrapped Husky - 1000 Island is so yum! This last time, I branched out and got a seasonal special of the Black and Blue - it was ok, it reminded me why I'm not a big fan of Gorgonzola cheese but that's on me. It was fluffy, and has enough crisp that you usually found on a gourmet burger. The second one is the highly anticipated Alaskan Cod Sandwich. The cod was crusted with breadcrumbs and it was very crispy.The last one is the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger. You can definetely taste the truffle and there are plenty of mushroom in there. The food is delicious and the hamburgers are 100% grass fed. That produces less methane for the environment, and a more natural and probably more enjoyable existence for the animals. This time, however, Friday , October 3, 2025, at around 6:00 pm, the lady taking orders was speaking in rapid English with what might be an accent. I kept asking her to repeat her answer to a menu question. Then, I saw her exchange disparaging glances with another employee. I felt very disrespected. Horrible customer service and working conditions. You would think a large company like Burger Lounge on Larchmont would at least have AC...nope! That's probably why everyone working there looked miserable. With that said, still no excuse for what happened. I came in Sat 8/23 around 7. Ordered a beer and food. Sat down outside. The table had 3 trays of trash and liquid on it so I politely asked the expeditor if they could clean the table. The young woman working the register stormed over, had a mental breakdown, slammed the trays on the rim of the trash can, and flicked the trash looking clearly pissed. Then she ordered me to lift up my drinks in a very aggressive manner so that she could wipe the table. I asked if she was ok, she said yes, I called her out and told her she didn't look ok, and then she stormed off. I was thrown off guard. I then decided that I didn't want to eat there so I asked for my money back. The beer I had in my hand, which I was planning on drinking, was snatched away and thrown in the garbage. It was nuts. I then asked for a receipt for the refund and she refused to give me one. I tried asking the other employees for a receipt but they didn't want to help me. Some of the cooks were also being rude when all of this was happening. Did I ask for something crazy? Are we not doing receipts anymore? They were probably trying to protect each other because they all looked pissed about the same thing. Again, working in 90 degree heat with no AC would piss me off too but I didn't deserve this. All of this can be confirmed through the video footage. I started to come here more often but now I will never go back again. I hope she finds peace and happiness somewhere but customer service is definitely not her thing because she clearly hates it. I ended up getting the Lounge Burger made with Grass-Fed Beef, Organic Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, BL 1000 Island. The burger was tasty and I liked how they added shredded lettuce as opposed to the slab everyone else puts. I also ordered the onion rings which were honestly my favorite thing on the menu. The onion rings are so crispy and flavorful. I paired it with vegan ranch. ANNNNND I know I know... WTH? Vegan Ranch? Is that even good... UMMMM yes it was! And now I get it all the time. On the sweet side, I got the dairy free shake and that hit the spot! It didn't taste weird or any thing. Burger Lounge is on Larchmont Bl in the Larchmont Village area of Hancock Park, an upscale area in Los Angeles. Yesterday while in the area, with the COVID pandemic lockdown restrictions of restaurants not able to allow indoor and outdoor dining, most of the restaurants in this area, were covid close. Seeing that this restaurant staff all had face covering, gloves, hand sanitizers and social distancing was enforced was a good start. This Burger Lounge has been here since 2007 and would be considered fast food done right. Fauna and Flora are the animal and plant life that represent a specific region. At Burger Lounge, you are introduced to a new take on the burger game; made from responsibly raised, thoughtfully sourced meats and flavor packed plant-based proteins. This concept of Fauna and Flora is the option of real meat or plant base proteins. While it was my first time here, I have tried BL before, at another location. I like the Fauna or Flora options to order protein, but opted for a fauna burger(real beef) with all the fixings and added bacon, for my furbabe Fendi. Also ordered the half portion of fries and onion rings, which was generous. The burger was smallish, but nicely assembled and upon the first bite, was reminded of how delicious a real burger tastes. The gluten free bun, and all the organic ingredients was extraordinarily flavorful. Usually not a fan of fast food and avoid eating it because I almost always have a bad reaction to all the artificial ingredients used. Not the case with this burger, every ingredient was organic, no artificial anything and my body prefers ALL foods this way. My furbabe Fendi is such a gourmand, she enjoyed every morsel so much she ate the entire patty. I really should have ordered another burger but regrettably did not.
