The restaurant was nice, clean, and modern looking. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. The server was nice and we were seated quick. There was plenty of parking but that could also be because we came on a Monday. I got the Bacon Up toast with country potatoes. My friend got The Perfect Avocado toast with arugula lemon salad. The bacon on the toast was perfectly crispy and balanced the creamy texture of the avocado. My boyfriend got the Simple Breakfast. I tried Toast at Toast on a Sunday afternoon ! My little fam and I came by a little too close to closing time (3pm- sorry!) and were met with kind staff and a clean interior. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and the outdoor area is doggy friendly. Also baby friendly - high chairs available and kiddy menu. I ordered a multigrain tomato and avocado toast with a side lemon arugula salad. Both so tasty. Can't go wrong with tomato and olive oil + avocado. My fiancé had eggs benedict with salmon, also delicious. Although we were the last guests there, we had efficient and courteous service. I appreciate that you're able to join the waitlist prior to arriving as you can pick a timeframe that you'll be arriving. Allows you to have a peace of mind and not rush to get in queue. I will say our server was kind and greeted us with a smile but that's where it ended unfortunately. This is a quaint breakfast spot. Gives off the mom and pop breakfast spot. They have seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoors is nice because it's fenced off which provides coverage from the street. Now onto the drinks. We had the Mexican Mocha coffee which was great because it wasn't sweet and you can taste the espresso. The unicorn lemonade is fun and unique as it changes colors when you put the lemonade it. We both had an order of the Benedict's. We got an order of the bacon and avocado which had good flavor and loaded with avocado. The other was the filet mignon that wasn't too impressive. For the price you're paying ($30) I do not think they gave a great portion of meat. It was definitely on the smaller side. I don't want to cross this off the list but I'd come again to give it another try and maybe have something else off the menu. read more

In the area with family and hungry so we ventured into Toast. Service was good as was the food. The House Benedict was good except that the hollandaise sauce had too much lemon. It threw off the taste. But the eggs were cooked right and the bacon & avocado were good. The fruit side was fresh and ripe. I also had the Mexican mocha which was delicious! My family had The Perfect Avocado toast and Simple breakfast. The potatoes were a bit bland but everything else was good. The pumpkin spice pancake was as big as the plate! When we tried to cut it with a butter knife it just tore and it was chewy not fluffy. Not a fan of this item. Overall the food was good and I'd love to try more items in the future. The first time I came here the food was better. Not saying the food is bad but it just was decent with not too much flavor. The service was not all that great just ok too. They messed on two orders the bacon on one, and the bread on the other order. Our waitress was not quite attentive, we had to ask other workers for help. The place is very small but I do like the decor and the chalk board inside. Also, I do like the chairs to sit in they are very comfortable. I dislike it's one restroom, which was not clean. Visiting my old childhood friend in the area. She wanted to try this place and so we did. It wasn't crowded but there were few people in & outside. Service was adequate and food came out in a short amount of time. My friend argued that I should've sent my plate back, because half the toast was really burnt but as we (that do know better), didn't want to risk anything unwelcome coming back in a new plate after complaining asking for a newly cooked replacement. I just let it go & only ate the topping of eggs, etc. my friend seemed bothered & regretted coming here. I was ok with it and although tad overpriced meal, it wasn't that bad to me. Was in the neighborhood and craving brunch, so gave this place a visit. Overall, I was very pleased! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is really cute. I also love that they use the Yelp waitlist feature so you can plan your wait (everyone needs to be using this feature at this point). Service was great, everyone is incredibly nice and gets your food out quickly too. The food was fantastic as well. Got the simple breakfast and while it's on the pricier side, the portions are HUGE. Everything was cooked to perfection, and their marble rye toast was excellent. I also got their rose lemonade which actually tasted like rose and wasn't too sweet. We were seated promptly and got water, after that it took a bit before our server came back. The food was okay - the Cesar salad dressing was a bit watery for my taste. The chimmy steal toast was good. The chimmy was light in both quantity and bold flavor. Steak was cooked well. The rose latte I recommend stay away and just get a regular latte. It was hard to taste a subtle rose flavor which is the point. The latte was adorned with dried petals, which are edible but don't infuse much flavor. The Belgian waffle was good, just nothing spectacular. Definitely will be back, just hope we got there on a bad day. read more

Once again, we love this place. It did raise its prices though, and no matter where you sit, it's extremely uncomfortable seating. The chairs are either bendy plastic, a wooden bench, or metal. Finally made it here! This place is less than a mile from me but haven't had a chance to check it out. My son wanted to take me for a Mother's Day brunch the day after Mother's Day. We arrived around 12:30 and were seated right away, it was pretty empty. Picked a spot in the outside patio. Cute patio area, much larger then it looks from the outside. Ordered avocado toast with potatoes. It was really good! The avocado & eggs were VERY bland, but black pepper & pink salt was just with it needed. The potatoes were amazing! It was a pretty large portion, I was stuffed! The coffee was luke warm unfortunately but I tried a sip of my sons cucumber lemonade and it was really good! I LOVE the location in Brea ,but I guess I should have looked more into their brunch services before getting there because upon trying to order mimosas I was told they didn't serve any (sad). So if you are looking for some mimosas to go with your food, don't come here. However, the food presentation was great, and the service was okay. I got a half order of the house French toast with a side of eggs and bacon overall 3.5/5 and my mother in law got the chimmy steak toast and gave it a 4/5.
