I have gone to this place twice and enjoyed every time. The food appeared great just the way I wanted. Bacon crisp and not greasy. I would recommend this place. read more

NEVER coming back here again. I would NOT recommend anybody coming here. I came with a party of 17 people. We sat for 2 HOURS waiting for our food. We saw our food sitting out, and as soon as the food eventually came out all of our food was COLD, one person NEVER EVEB GOT HER FOOD. The waitress had told us that separate checks were okay, with this in mind we expect the food to come out as it's ready. We said that the food was cold and the waitress said, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, MICROWAVE IT FOR YOU?" And said "since you are a party of 17, I have to bring the food out all at once." However since we had separate checks I don't see this as a valid excuse, especially because we saw our food sit out getting cold. Our waitress then continued to mock and mimic my friends and I to another waiter right in front of us. We asked for the manager to come out and our waitress said "He is in the back cooking." We asked three other waiters for the manager and he REFUSED to come out. The checks were all wrong and she was breaking down what we had ordered after we ate. I have NEVER experienced anything like this and will never go back again. THE MANAGER NEVER CAME OUT to face all of us and let this waitress take the heat for everything. Ridiculous! This place should be out of business if you ask me. read more

Place has a great atmosphere and staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is large but they need to step up there game and not use cafeteria/hotel buffet style potatoes in their dishes. They have a severe fly problem which affected how much we enjoyed our meal. With some fine tuning think it will be a great place. read more

I thought the presentation and food were done well but I will not be returning! The servers were wearing masks but the kitchen staff wasn't. I realize that I am not within 6 feet of them but they are very close to food I will be putting inside my body. Which is worse than the servers not wearing masks. Please change this and I will return! read more

2nd time here, brought the dog park friends! 11:00 on a Thursday, 25 minute wait. It was an accurate quote, we were seated right on time. Prompt, courteous service. This time I tried the chicken fried steak. Delicious, right amount of crunchy outside, flavorful and moist inside. Got fried potato's, not the waffle fries on the menu I wanted to try, but they were perfect. Leftovers again!! My friend had the chilaquiles, which looked AMAZING!!!! Next time, I want to sit in the charming atrium. read more

I went here today for brunch and am so glad I decided to check it out. Our food was delicious and was definitely not your typical French toast. I got the S'mores French toast which was so good and enough food to feed at least a few people. My friends also really enjoyed their food. We will definitely be back. read more

I and my companion had just came from Phoenix. We were extremely hungry and sought out a breakfast restaurant to satisfy our appetites. We arrived at a good time prior to lines taking place. We were immediately seated and within ten minutes at the table greeted by the waitress. The place appeared to be very busy for a Saturday. The atmosphere was apparently set for young and old patrons seeking to fulfill their needs for drink or food as I looked around at various filled tables. A very large staff we're working diligently to prepare a variety of food and drink specials as the establishment continued with people entering. We waited at our table 43mins never being served our food that sat at the window for 27mins. We watched table after table being served that had been seated after us. Our waitress took order after order with out once looking at the orders sitting at the pickup window. She did state to us her apologies due to a large order that was being prepared, but we saw what we later confirmed was our order that sat under a heated light prepared prior to this large order turning what might have been a great meal into a microwaved presented meal. We let our server know along with a lead server who simply said, "sorry !" with no recourse to these lack of actions or accountability, or suggestions to fix our concerns. We then decided to leave this establishment and proceeded to Black Bear Dinner on Broadway a mile away were we received the same meal faster and with perfect service by our server Jay, and a whole lot cheaper ! With one mistake made but, corrected by Lisa the manager with a whole new order for such a simple mistake. Thank you Black Bear Dinner ! read more

Filthy, understaffed, biscuit was a lard disc, gravy was water based without flavor, hot coffee was bitter, brisket burger was over cooked and not made from brisket, chicken for waffle was over fried and dry. Won't be back. read more

Very nice place. Make sure to call ahead of time for a reservation. Very modern vibe with a home cooked taste. Highly recommend!

The best that can be said for this restaurant is that the ice-water was cold. I will list the glaring deficiencies below: The music was too loud The first cup of coffee was weak and lukewarm The second cup of coffee was weak, though hot The restaurant was out of bacon The staff was assembled in plain sight yacking about how much weed they smoke Though we were the only customers, our breakfast to 20 minutes Still using Covid precautions with cream, sugar, salt and pepper Paper napkin table sets rolled with soup spoons As a final insult, when walking out, we observed an entire flattop of bacon being prepared. The ambiance was nice and the servers were friendly. My breakfast sandwich looked amazing with the edible flower!

Must be patient! Very very very very slow service. No drink refills. Took forever to get food and on lunch break. The good... food was delicious read more

Great brunch spot! Loved the mimosa flight. 10/10 would recommend this spot for a great drink and even better food!

The interior of this place is really cool but the service is horrible. The experience I had here was probably the worst I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We were a party of six and one of my friends ordered a dr. Pepper and the waitress brought out a Pepsi. No big deal, but when we told our waitress he had ordered a dr. Pepper & not a Pepsi she just nodded and left, he never got his dr. Pepper. After we ordered our food it took about an hour and a half for it to be brought out to us. We never once got refills on our coffee or water while we were waiting. The bathrooms looked the equivalent of porta-potties in terms of cleanliness-- absolute filth. They were completely filthy with urine or some other fluids all over the ground. Lastly, once our food finally arrived, one of my friends received the wrong type of toast, which he didn't even bother mentioning because who knows how long it would've taken to get new toast, but his eggs were severely undercooked, so he did mention to the waitress and she frantically grabs them, brings back new eggs 15 minutes later, while the rest of his food got cold and the rest of our group had finished eating. By this point, we all couldn't leave fast enough, when the waitress brought the bills, not a single dollar was taken off for any of the inconveniences w/ our meals or our service. So I spoke up about it. I asked since we had to wait forever, since food wasn't brought out correctly, and since food had to be recooked if we could get some money taken off. She said "No, since the food eventually was delivered and corrected, we can't take any money off." In conclusion, we will not be coming back to this one. Save yourself some time and money and dodge this bullet too. read more

Was really good was very happy for the most part. Stop by here while waiting to get my windows tinted on car so was walking by and stopped in the place was very busy and I had a hangover omelette... Good coffee. Food was just OK though. Place seemed a little on the dirty side, but acceptable. Service started out great, but got slow.

I was very disappointed. So the Korean restaurant decided to rebrand and try something new and cool. Good job it is new kind of and cool. But the food portions are small and the costs are too high. I tried the chicken and waffles. I got a small piece of chicken. And there is a choice of waffles 'Belgian' or 'bubble' the problem is they use the same batter for both. What is the point of having Hong Kong style bubble waffles when you use the same bland American batter in them? It's just a different shape. My wife and I both left hungry after having licked our plates clean. Sorry toast. Maybe you should combine the two restaurant styles and let people cook their own French toast for the full price to keep your profit margins up and give larger portions at the same time? I won't be back though to try. read more

I have mixed emotions about this place as I have been there twice and each time has been 45 minutes -1 hour wait...after being told it was only 1/2 hour wait. Then, both times...it took another 45 minutes for food to come out. The food is good but not any better than Baja Café or Bisbee Breakfast Club - the wait, wait service and host/hostess leaves little to be desired, they seem very unprepared and not trained well with customer service - hope they get it together. read more

Ate here around 10 am on a Saturday. I expected a wait because I often see long lines when I'm driving by. We were seated right away, in a booth. We started with the Donut Board - 4 warm donuts (2 each glazed and churro) and they were really good. I'm not really a donut person and these were better than I expected. Especially the glazed. I ordered the Breakfast for Champs (3 eggs, potatoes, 4 slices of bacon, toast and a humongous pancake). It was very good and the portions were large. The potatoes looked ordinary but they were anything but. My friend got the Hangover Skillet and said it was great. The service was a little slow but that wasn't a bad thing - we were in the mood for a leisurely meal. The ambience was chill and comfortable. The price was fair especially considering the portion sizes. The only thing that wasn't great was the iced tea, but hey, that's a small thing. I will definitely be back! read more

I understand short-staffing issues nowadays and Toast is certainly suffering from that problem. The real issue for me was two fold. My chicken fried steak was tough and chewy and over done. With a minimal amount of gravy. The toast which I expect it to be stand out feature at a restaurant called toast. Was basic Texas toast cut with some melted product already applied. My wife had the simple breakfast with bacon almost transparent it was so thin and requested a tortilla in Lou of toast. I ask for a little extra gravy considering there is hardly any on the dish. Upon receiving a bill we find out they up charged two dollars for the tortilla, another two dollars for the my toast and another two dollars for a side of gravy. I understand charging me for a side of toast which was not worth ordering. But the charge for the tortilla when her breakfast came with toast and then charge me for a gravy because it wasn't enough on it was the last straw. In our breakfast choices I'm afraid Toast will not pop up for us again. read more

My husband brought me here for a breakfast date. We were quoted 30 minutes to wait to be sat. In actuality, it was over 1 hour. Not that we didnt expect it. It was extremely busy, and a Sunday morning to boot. It would have been nice to be told the actual wait time though. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. I try them every place I go, as I am still looking for the best place in Tucson to get them. When I received my order, the hollandaise was broken and my food was luke warm. The flavor was awesome, but it was pretty disappointing. My husband ordered the loaded tots, and he seemed pretty pleased with his food. The drinks were tasty (hubs had an iced mocha and I had a wild berry aqua fresca). The staff is friendly, albeit slow. Probably had something to do with the fact that they were packed. I had to ask for a knife to cut my food. The atmosphere is my favorite part. Its is a very nice, trendy place to eat. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be wifi. I believe, in this day and age, all resteraunts should offer their guests wifi access. When I asked our waiter if they had it, he actually had to go ask, which I thought was pretty strange. Also, for the amount of people in the resteraunt, the ladies room has 2 stalls. One of which was out of order. And one of the 2 soap dispensers was out of soap at 930am. Hmmmm. All in all, it was not a horrible experience, but there is a lot that can be worked on. I will definitely give them another chance. read more

Wanted to try this place for a while. Went on 3/20/21. We got there around 8:00 a.m. We didn't wait too long to be seated and were sat at the bar. Both servers were nice but didn't interact much. It seemed like a long time to get our food. My friend had the Avacado Sunrise and I a veggie skillet. Both meals were cold. She ate hers, which said was very good even though it wasn't hot. I had a veggie skillet. It was good, however I could not eat it Cole. The potatoes under my eggs were COLD, almost feom the refrigerator. I sent it back and again, waited for my meal longer then I would have expected. I am disappointed with the first visit but will probably try again in a few months, giving the opportunity for improvement. The second veggie skillet was very good. read more

OK.......great cool decor and staff is friendly. I had a hamburger which was very average. My husband had French toast. The taste was not to my or my husband's liking. The toast was soggy with weird like oatmeal flakes?????BUT...we will try this place again....just not French toast or hamburger. Maybe they were just to trendy for us. read more

Two stars, one for our waitress and one for the chef. The wait was terrible, we were required to wait outside. The host was so rude he made the rest of the experience not worth repeating. read more

This was our third time here. Yes, we had to wait 45 minutes on a Sunday morning to get in but the wait is so worth it. Our host, Jonathan was working very hard to get everybody seated. The food is amazing, huge portions, great prices! the customer service is awesome! We sat at the bar and our servers, Xavier and Kiara were wonderful. Those two were hustling behind that bar! Always friendly! The eggs benedict was the best I've ever had! these people who are giving this place a bad review don't know what good food is, that's all I have to say. read more

This place is definitely busy but absolutely worth the wait. Great food options, awesome decor, and nice music. The food was crafted well and a pretty display. Horrible experience, from beginning to the end. We waited for 30 mins , walked back in and they said they had taken our name off the list. She told us it was a 30 min wait and than made us feel like an inconvenience that i was back within the 30 mins. Already a bad sign Order eggs Benedict, the ham tastes like lunch meat. And was barely warm. And the home fries tasted like frozen potatoes not thawed out correctly. I also order a bubble waffle all i asked for was byutter and syrup. I again had to ask for butter and syrup. Never got butter. At this point i am so tired of asking for stuff. Waited 20 mins for a straw so i didn't drink out of the glass... My friend order Bloody Mary, couldn't taste any alcohol. Just pickle juice and Clamato. We order the bacon board.Which one of the option was maple bacon and it looked like there was a long hair, when we tried to explain she further tried to explain to me how maple works. Like if i was an idiot. I went to pick up the "maple"and it still looked like a hair, after passing the bacon around to numerous people she continued to ask if we still wanted it, no we didn't want the cold bacon where people just put their hands all over. Three different people touched the plate and passed around. i will neverrrr return here. Tipped more than i should've because i didn't want them thinking i was trying to get over on them. Terrible experience. Gave two stars writing this review and thinking about it i should just give one star. But 2 for effort i guesss. read more

KEEP DRIVING This establishment is absolutely disgusting - the worst breakfast I've had in all of Tucson. Of the 2 sets of silverware given for our table of 4, 1 set was dirty. The first cup brought out with my coffee had the previous diner's mouth/breakfast residue. I got a fresh cup 5-10 minutes later. My daughter chose her breakfast before we arrived, but when her Fruity Pebble French Toast arrived, it was oozing and swimming in a massive pool of some sour tasting pink substance with a loose glob of white over the top. My husband ordered the chicken & waffles, and was presented with a flat circular disk of chicken atop a falling apart bubble waffle. My French Toast 101 arrived lukewarm at best, dry, even the flavorless stringy thick syrup couldn't moisten it. Three people in our party were drinking the water as their only beverage, and after my first cup of coffee had never been refilled, I took a big sip of my water - it was vile - tasted like dishwater. Two of my companions tasted my water and fully agreed. I tasted their waters, which were fine. The side order of potatoes were actually tasty, but I lost some appetite for eating them after touching the gross ketchup bottle on the table - it was squished and had quite a lot of dried ketchup and food bits around the exterior - I didn't chance opening it, and requested a different bottle; a new one was brought to our table. Charitable - the ambiance is cute in some areas of the restaurant. We were not treated to this. Instead we were brought to the very back booth with its crusty, peeling seats, right next to the kitchen service counter area after declining to be seated at the first booth in front of the entrance doors. There were many, many, many available tables. We had a glorious view of the nasty restaurant broom and dustpan which clearly by the state of the dirty restaurant was likely left by the previous establishment. Our server was pleasant enough, but not observant at all, and dressed more for a mountain hike than serving in a restaurant. Reading the menu, everything sounds fantastic! We opted to dine here even after reading the many negative reviews. The sorriest of all is the high ticket price of $65 for a nasty birthday breakfast. read more

Worst dining experience by far! It was a busy day but nothing to excuse the way we were treated! We waited about 75 minutes to be seated. Waited about another 15 minutes for server to come take our drink orders and at that same time have our food order. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes until we got our food!! Needless to say we kept asking our server and he kept quoting us 30 minutes, 20 minutes, lastly 10 minutes. Other groups that arrived an hour after us were already eating. Manager finally came and apologized and flat out told us the cook had skipped our ticket thinking it had been done!!! We were so upset! Most of us didn't even finish our food since we had been there in Total of 3 hrs plus just wanted to go home! Do you think they offered to Como any part of our bill!?? Hell no!! Our total was close to $150 plus our tip to server who was very nice. I called their restaurant to speak to whom ever was in charge and it's been over a week and never got a call back. Food is ok but those people have no clue how to run their place!!! Needless to say WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!! read more

Online it says they close at 3pm on friday's so we came at 1:30 expecting to get served. Once we walked in we're told that they close at 2pm on fridays and that last call is at 1:30 and that they JUST "turned their grills off". I think it's pretty ridiculous that the time online, the time posted outside the building, and the time the server said they close are all different. Get it together read more

I went this morning with two other friends and it was a total disaster. Best part of this experience was not having to wait for a table. Waited a long time for our server to come to ask about coffee. We ordered and waited a VERY LONG time for our food. To make matters worse, one of us had to wait about 10 minutes after the other two of us got our order.
