Came here for lunch at around 12:30 on Friday, and i got one of their lunch platters (pork kontosouvli), gigantic beans, and a side of hummus. The total came out to be $34 and I was STUFFED. The lemon potatoes were perfect, it wasnt too lemony, and the gigantic beans were amazing. I absolutely loved it. It was so so good. You can tell theyre very clean, as I saw one of the employees wiping down the legs of the tables. This is officially my new go-to for a solo date restaurant!! Local gem run by a family. I've been here several times on a weeknight and the staff is very welcoming. Always a good meal here. They are a good value especially for dinner. Daily specials are listed by the entrance and a lot of variety of soups, entrees and sides. Their usual menu is also filled with protein options of all kinds: beef, chicken, fish, seafood and gigante beans. I recommend the grilled octopus, any of the salads and the moussaka. To Steki is probably my top comfort dining spot in the area. I've dined here a few times by myself, always after some long biking, and I always underestimate their portions for one person--even when I'm supposed to eat more to refuel. Somehow, I always seem to get an endless supply of pita bread. So much that have the smell, taste, and texture of their bread etched in my senses. You'd think that getting a small salad and an appetizer would be enough but the tendency to munch on the pita bread and lather it up with their hummus will probably get you so full, you'll be left wondering if you'll ever eat again for the rest of the day. The food is always fresh and you'll always be in a treat for big portions, so just remember--an appetizer can be a meal itself. The staff are always incredibly kind and warm. In fact, during my last visit, one of the bartenders noticed me locking up my bike next to his and made sure I was taken care of after we connected over biking. read more

I walked into your restaurant early in the afternoon to have lunch. After waiting about five minutes to be seated, I decided to sit myself down. I noticed the waitress attending to two other tables, but she never once acknowledged my presence. After nearly ten minutes of waiting with no greeting or service, I decided to leave. We also enjoyed the three spread appetizer. However, they did not serve it with enough pita bread slices. We received the same amount of pita bread triangle slices (about 10) as we received with the small complimentary hummus. And when we asked for more pita, we were charged $4 for a pita basket. I've been to numerous Greek restaurants that do not charge for extra pita. They also charged $5 for a fountain soda. We also ordered fried calamari, feta saganaki, spinach rice and moussaka. To Steki roughly translates to "hangout". If you look on their website the full name is To Steki Tou Laki which changes it to "Laki's Place" either way I am a fan of the comfortable causal white, black and wood of this place. Once you settle in warmed pita and a dip comes. The first time I was here it was a great taramasalata and the next it was hummus (disappointingly I didn't see tarama on the menu). For me, eating Greek means eating family style even if you are family of two. Nearly every time it consists of a horiatiki salad - they make a quintessential version here nicely dressed with slab of delish feta. The grilled calamari is tender with a nice char flavor - I may like this better than their octopus here. I enjoyed the gigantes (giant beans in tomato sauce). Many times we make a meal of "apps" for a nice variety, but sometimes order some delicious grilled meats. The lamb chops are tender and delicious and the lemon potatoes were done right. Horta, the slightly bitter dandelion greens with olive oil and lemon are made the way they should be. I've observed couples ordering the mix grill for 2 that come out as a super generous platter which looks like it can feed 4 or more - it makes me wonder if they are on a date and how are they going to have sexy time after? haha. The food was okay, the best being their hummus and pita bread. - Grilled calamari : probably the best thing we ate here. The char bits with the smokey flavor was the best, - Seafood pasta : a bit too spicy for anyone not used to spice, - Stuffed sole filet : crabmeat was very fresh. Spinach rice had a very creamy texture, very delicious, - Mixed grilled for two : best on the platter was the chicken. The two stars is due to the service. There's a middle-age/elder waitress that was low-key giving microaggressions toward me. I was the only Asian in a group of whites, so what happened? - flung a pen towards me (maybe that was a mistake?) - over-poured my water and spilled it onto the guest next to me (maybe she's having a clumsy day?) - came around and refilled everyone's water except mine (maybe she forgot?) - came around the second time and refilled everyone's water except mine. I called her back this time but she kept walking away. - came around the third time and refilled everyone's water except mine. Except this time, someone decided to switched glasses with me so I got my water filled but the other person didn't. I can only give the benefit of doubt so much. First impressions matter...I was turned off to say the least by the employee who answered the phone of this establishment when my friend and I called to place an order for takeout. She seemed disorganized, spacey, and unfocused...repeating herself, saying another patron was calling, and then suddenly the call dropped. We attempted to call back twice with two different mobile devices and both times it went straight to voicemail. Furthermore, she didn't bother to callback to confirm the order or apologize for the sudden disconnect. I then proceeded to use GrubHub via Yelp to place our order - Horiatiki Salad with Grilled Chicken, Prasini Salad with Grilled Chicken (which was missing the feta cheese), and Hummus Spread. After placing our order my phone rang...it was the employee from our initial attempt to order takeout. She asked if we had called prior and to cancel our GrubHub order because the first order was completed and waiting on us for pickup. How could that be possible if we never confirmed due to the call dropping? Yet, again in the midst of all this confusion the call dropped again. Now, I had an utterly bad taste in my mouth via this Greek establishment and wanted to cancel my order in its entirety! My friend then said, I hope they aren't going to give us the first unconfirmed order as our GrubHub order because our food is going to be cold, stale, and wilted. As we parked we noticed a bag on the counter via GrubHub pickup. I asked if it was our order and we were told it was. I expressed my concern(s) via the unprofessionalism and how his/her employee shouldn't pickup the phone if not trained properly, etc. All that was heard was apologies but nothing to make us whole. We could have been offered soft drinks to go or dessert? At times an apology goes so far after multiple attempts to rectify the situation via callbacks and voicing our concerns. Not to our surprise...as we arrived at home our takeout order was indeed the first initial phone order that was taken. The pita bread was hard and cold, lettuce was wilted/cooked, and grilled chicken dry. Additionally, one salad was missing the feta cheese. I was truly disappointed and had hopes that the owner(s) would rectify the situation when we arrived to pick up our order and voiced our concerns. However, the only thing that was provided to us were many apologies. We believe that the employee needs better training via takeout orders being placed on phone, customer service, and how to multitask. I would rather drive a further distance (such as Bell Blvd) than walk down the block for Greek mediterranean cuisine with horrible customer service and value. read more

The cutest date spot for Greek food. We came on a weekday evening and was easily seated. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu covers a wide range of food from grilled fares to pasta. We got the octopus appetizer to start. I loved the grilled smokey flavor but it was definitely too salty for me. For the entree we got their lobster pasta special, which came with a whole lobster and some cheesy tomato spaghetti. The portion was huge and there was enough pasta for 3 maybe even 4 people. My boyfriend and I ended up taking the rest to go. I would have preferred if the pasta was lighter on the cheese. My favorite thing was admittedly their pita bread and hummus offered by default to each table. Both were fresh and tasted like they were hand made. We went to To Steki today for Mother's Day. We had a party of 7 and had a great experience. All the food was fresh and well cooked. Presentation was awesome and food was delicious. Seafood was fresh and very well prepared as well as all the other entrees. Complimentary hot pita bread and hummus was served. Prices were very reasonable in my opinion for what is a very high end dining experience. The wait staff were top notch and it felt like we were in a dinner banquet. They took great detail to ensure we had a clean table and even reset utensils on to a clean napkin when they noticed it was not while we waited for the next course. We ordered the grilled octopus and fried calamari, I really liked the octopus, it was simple olive oil and lemon with capers and pickled onions, nice and refreshing. I thought it was worth it for its price since there was a lot in one order. On the other hand, I thought the calamari was just standard nothing special and not as worth it in my opinion. I felt like this restaurant could have been on Kitchen Nightmares. Everyone's dinner came out at a different time. My moms meal came out, my husbands meal, then my brothers and mine. My dads potatoes came out but his fish was served much much later, pretty much after we were all finished eating. I don't really understand. It wasn't crazy busy. My husband ordered the shrimp special, it came with 3 shrimp which we found kind of cheap. He was done with his meal in no time. Lamb chops were kinds skimpy. Lemon potatoes were tasty, so was the avgolemono. The bill was also ridiculously expensive for what we got, not worth it at all. We could have gone out for a steak dinner for that price. We were in the mood for some Greek food & We drive past To Steki it all the time and had it on our list of must give it a try ... I will say, their food was quite yummy. They start you off with a little plate of hummus and warm pita, very nice. We started off with a couple of margaritas, $12 each (the norm) , their zucchini patties and the grilled octopus. Both were delicious, but $26 for the octopus "appetizer" was a bit much. For main course we both ordered the lamb with orzo, Giouvetsi , A traditional Greek dish that we absolutely love and I sometimes make at home. It was delicious, but it didn't come with any sides. Most other Greek restaurants will serve you a side with that dish. We decided to have two cokes with dinner and were shocked that a glass of fountain soda was $5 each ! A Bottled water was $9 ! No dessert as we were afraid to break the bank... With tax and 20% tip, dinner for two was $185. Spending $185 on dinner for two is a bit much. It might have just been an off day when we arrived as they just opened, but the service was just not there. The waiter spilled water as he was filling our glass but took awhile to come wipe down the table or even offer to move us to another table (the place was empty). We paid in cash, he didn't ask if we wanted change and 10mins past we just left and left the change as our tip (more than 20%).
