    Green pilaf

This is my first time ordering food here. I ordered Lulya Kabab, Cheburek with meat, and green pilaf. They packed the food well in aluminum foil, ensuring it stayed hot until I got home. The lulya kaba was juicy and well seasoned, and the cheburek was a delightful surprise. I didn't know, so I cut it in half and, therefore, lost some of the juices, but it didn't take away from the wonderful, delicate taste, while the burek maintained its crispiness. Finally, the green pilaf is rich in dill and other herbs, which give it a green color (hence the name) and a rich flavor. It is also rich in meat, as expected, and beyond. Service was friendly and efficient. They promised 10 minutes for pick up and so it was. I will definitely order or dine in again.

Admittedly, I was drawn in by the mega cheburek seen on social media (which isn't on the online menu but is available in the dine-in menu) and ultimately left full having had an excellent assortment of food. The menu is EXTENSIVE and a bit overwhelming if, like us, you're not so familiar with the cuisine. We started with the lagman soup. Ultimately, we probably didn't need this but the portion was great for two people and the flavoring of the broth lovely. Next came the mega cheburek. We donned our black latex gloves provided with the steak knife and went about tearing this thing up. The dough was lovely (crispy some places, softer others). The meat itself was not the most flavorful (probably our only negative) but the two sauces (one a creamier sauce and one a tomato-based sauce) really made up for this once you were comfortably rolling the cheburek and dipping and there was a TON of meat. This in itself probably would have been enough food. But alas, we also had ordered lamb kebabs (maybe the most delicious meat I had here and a great portion) and lamb ribs (also a really solid portion but a bit on the fattier side). We were given complimentary baklava, which was a super nice showing. This complimented overall the service we had, which was stellar from start to finish and super super nice. The decor is interesting and I can see it as an event hall, but also a nice little stop for dinner. Finally, I was really blown away by the pricing as everything was so much cheaper than I was used to for comparable food in the area. We ordered some plov to go and I am excited to eat this for lunch this week.

Looking for a unique dining experience in Queens? Look no further than Sezam kosher , a kosher banquet restaurant in the heart of the city! With belly dancing every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday. it's the perfect spot for an exciting night out. We had to try their viral Mega cheburek, a crispy, deep-fried turnover filled with savory minced Lamb-Beef and onions, it was absolutely delicious! Another must-try is the beef rice piloff, packed with tender meats, a whole garlic clove, and a boiled egg slice for extra flavor. Whether you're planning a small gathering or a large party, Sezam offers vibrant decor and a lively atmosphere that will make your night unforgettable. Follow @spinx17 for more NYC fun experiences!

This place has been going viral online for their Giant Cheburek which is a deep-fried turnovers with a filling of ground or minced meat and onions. Common street food in Russia and surrounding countries. Also, their beef rice pilaf was amazing! I highly recommend getting it. It comes with an huge garlic clove, lots of meat and a boiled egg sliced in quarters. The best part is the food is very inexpensive in comparison to other restaurants. I think the prices will greatly go up as it becomes more popular.

Great place to dine at whether your party is small or large. The decor was vibrant and definitely stands out, every corner grabs your attention. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Food was the best part, everything was fresh and hot. I'll gladly come again anytime.

We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and Mix Grill entrees for our party of 7. I would say it's a pretty simple and standard order. No deviations, substitutions, or anything out of the ordinary. Despite that, our drinks took ~20 minutes, the appetizers took 30+ minutes, and our entrees 30+ minutes after that. The Mint Lemonade was so small and tasted artificial. For ~$9, I expect more. The only appetizers worth trying are the Hummus Baba Ganouj, and Falafel. Everything else sadly missed the mark. The Fatoush & Tabouleh were promising but pretty sad. It lacked dressing (lemon and olive oil), flavor, and there were way too many unnecessary lettuce leaves on or around the bowl. I did enjoy the Zikrayat Mix Grill. The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and juicy, the rice was light and fragrant, and it was filling. I found the appetizers to be overpriced and along with the extremely slow service, I didn't leave feeling like it was worth it. I don't think I'll be back.

4.5 Stars...Rounding up to Five Stars!…read more What a beautiful restaurant! I had read so many raving articles about Ayat, and have been wanting to go for the longest time. They have branches all over NY but when they opened one in Astoria, Queens, we finally went! Ayat is a little pricier than some restaurants in the area but you're paying for a quality meal, and it was so worth it...really!! Shout-out to our server Tyler, who was great in every way! He provided us with everything we needed before we even asked. Thanks so much, Tyler! Menu shared by 6ppl: -- 2 orders of Salata Filistini Salad ($9): very small portion. We actually wanted to try their Watermelon Feta Salad but it's no longer on their menu. This Salata Filstini Salad was a poor replacement and nothing special. Skip this and try another salad. -- Meze Filistini (6 spreads & fresh pita) $32.75: Excellent! All 6 spreads were delicious with the warm, fresh pita. All 6 spreads were fresh & tasty. You can tell they used quality ingredients. -- Lamb Chops w.rice, salad & tahini sauce (4 chops/$39.50): Excellent dish! The lamb chops were prepared perfectly and the Tahiti sauce really complimented the lamb. Get this!! -- 2 orders of Mixed Grill w.rice, salad & yogurt sauce ($37): Fantastic platter with one lamb chops, Beef Kebab, Kofta Kebab and Chicken Kebab. The chicken was a tad bit overcooked and dry, but the other meats were perfect. Recommended! -- Fattat Lahma (6 layer dish: meat, rice, chickpeas, garlic, tahini, crispy pita; garnished w.almond slices & mint) $31: This was an excellent dish. Someone had warned me that this tends to be dry, and to order this with extra yogurt sauce...great advice! We indeed ordered this with extra yogurt sauce, and honestly could have used even more! Haha But this was a great dish! I would get this again. -- 2 orders of Knafa $15: This was slightly different from any Knafa I've ever had. It was very loose and dry but really tasty nonetheless! This was a large portion, but was perfect for 3 people sharing. All in all, this was a great meal. The freshness and quality of each dish really shined. I would definitely return to try other dishes and repeat some of the dishes we had tonight. Recommended!!

For apps we got the dip spread and cigar rolls with beef. Tasty enough but nothing special. Took 15 minutes before we got some more pita to share between the four of us. For entree we got the mixed shawarma with fries. Big portion, fries were ok, meet slightly dry and the white sauce the gave us tasted like yogurt sauce that was watered down and had oil added to it, no good ! The biggest disappointment was the mixed grill. 1 tiny piece of lamb and 2 pieces each of chick, beef and kofta. Flavorless meat , flavorless rice and the meat was sooooooo dry. Kept chewing and chewing because scared to swallow and choke. I want to cry just thinking about how much better food we can get from a local place and we drove all the way from long island to try this place. I'm not even joking, I gave the meat to my dog for breakfast as to not waste food and even he didn't want it. That is the attached picture . Sooooo disappointed. Bathroom is dirty and not let clean. Not enough staff to ask for help or utensils or even the check. Lacking customer service skills.
