I especially love their cocktail knishes and franks. I bring them upstate to family whenever we have a holiday get together as appetizers and no matter how many dozen I bring, they always disappear within a few minutes. I tired their brisket sandwich - a bit fatty, but very tasty, but expensive ($23) for the portion size they give you compared to the "big" Jewish delis like Katz's, Second Avenue, Mill Basin, David's Brisket House, Sarge's, etc. Those delis are about 25% more expensive, but they give you at least double the portion. But I'm really glad we still have this place because the area is turning into a vast majority of chain fast food garbage. The other kind of weird thing about this place is that they're open 9am-6:30pm weekdays and 9am-5:30pm weekends, but they don't serve any breakfast foods AFAIK. Do people eat knishes for breakfast? I'd love to see them open more like 11:30-9pm, so I could grab a snack or dinner late in the day. Discovered this spot along my walk down Queens blvd with my husband. It's a tiny shop with small tables, but most customers order for to go. We were definitely hungry when we went in because we walked out spending $70 (oops). We got 3 knishes (mushroom, spinach, and cabbage), pastrami sandwich (so good), pirogies (that we weren't planning on buying but they JUST made them so we ofc had to.. and it turned out being the best thing we had), matzo balls, chicken veggie soup. Queens Blvd in Rego Park is always an adventure. Driving means, if you see a parking space, grab it. Knish Nosh has long been on my bucket list. Always drove by, never stopped in. This time I did. I spotted from the front counter, the lady in the back telling me, someone will be right out. A very small store with one table for two inside, and a place to nosh on the sidewalk. Soneone ahead was picking up an ordere of pastrami, but I was here for the signature potato knish. Now for those poor souls that have gone their entire lives without, the k is not silent. The plants get more space than people in this place. The knish is delicious as are the sandwiches. We were given a sample of the chicken liver and it was delicious; we bought some to go. A true throw back delicious kosher deli. Knish knosh always hits the spot when craving a proper kosher meal. The soups, knishes, stuffed cabbage are some of my favorites there. The workers are all so incredibly sweet and even give cookies to my kids free of charge. A true gem of a business that's missing in a corporate landscape of food availability. I was so disappointed at the food here. I remember this place from my childhood. Owned by two brothers using the grandmothers recipe they had the best knishes I've ever had to this date. In its 3rd location since opening and 10 years out of the family's hands it shows. Maybe newbie's won't know better as the neighborhood has changed so much. Two Jewish places are gone The Golden Platter and Ben's Romanian related Ben's Deli also on Queen's Boulevard. I heard they too may go. I loved that place. I would pass their window with Hebrew National Franks grilling in the window on my way the Rego Park Jewish Center for Bar Mitzvah lessons. I loved in neon it said Zion Hebrew National it touched my soul as much as Hebrew School long before Zionaphobia. Well that is not true the Phillistines had Zionaphobia. This spot has been around for years but I never had a chance to stop by. We finally had a chance last night after an early dinner next door. They have a pretty large menu ranging from knishes, to pierogies, and soups. We decided to bring home a container of matzo ball soup and a brisket pastry. The person behind the counter was super patient while we decided what to get. We were happy with our selection, but to our surprise, he offered us some knishes on the house since they were about to close. We were going to come back another time anyway to try these, but this was such a lovely gesture. We will definitely return to try some more stuff on their menu! P.S. the matzo ball soup was delicious and filling. It was the perfect remedy for my son who was feeling under the weather. Very hearty, filling food for pretty reasonable prices in Queens. I stopped by for dinner on a whim and had pretty much zero wait time. They have a table inside but I believe this place is mostly meant for take-away. They have large, straightforward menus on the wall next to the equally straightforward cashier - obviously you have to try their knishes, whichever you order. If at first glance the knishes look a tad pricey, that's only because of their sheer size (the large ones at least) - two of these will fill you up completely and leave you feeling stuffed. I got myself a classic Potato and a Pastrami, and was well pleased with the taste. Their Latkas are also good, solid food options. One stars are extremely rare for me but I will 100 percent never come back here after my experience. We came here because my mom was craving a simple hot dog and knish. I never thought something as simple as that could go so wrong. We got there and there was a gentleman waiting for his food. We ordered and waited for our order to be complete. (Mind you there is only one table in the place but it is super small and appears to be a quick pick up spot) while we were waiting, the gentleman that was there way before us was rudely handed his food, when he checked the bag and realized his order was wrong; he reiterated what he had asked for. The woman behind the counter, who I assume also runs the business YELLED at him & at this point there were multiple customers in the store to witness this. She was arguing with him that "he was wrong" and "he asked for something else" he tried to talk politely to her but she was screaming over him saying she is working alone and he is wrong. INSANITY. He stormed out with the food because he was waiting so long and was hungry (rightfully so) After all that madness, our order was ready and when I unwrapped the "hot dog" and the "knish" I was blown away and not in a good way. The hot dog wasn't a classic hot dog, it was wrapped in some kind of bread dough like a massive pigs in a blanket which is fine but we said "classic hot dogs" if this is the only type of hot dog they sell, it should be notated on the menu so people know what they're getting. It was also not warmed and had no flavor. I couldn't even eat it. Same for the knish; it was massive, cold and had no flavor. After seeing her yell at the previous customer, we had no interest in even questioning the order and just dealt with it. I grew up eating these knishes. I always loved the regular potato knish. My sister and I were passing through the area yesterday and decided to stop by and get some to take home. We got 8 knishes. They looked just as they always did :) I heated one up today, and it was a sad disappointment. It tasted bland, and there seemed to be little lumps of not-quite-completely-cooked potatoes. Upon further inspection, those little hard pieces appear to be parts of the potato that should have been removed. They were brown, hard, and didn't look it taste very good. It wasn't anywhere near as good as it used to be. We spent over $40 for 8 knishes, and honestly - it just wasn't worth it. They were just not good. They also neglected to mention a credit card fee before they ran my credit card. (It should have been disclosed first - I would have paid cash.) So disappointing :( read more

I came here to order knish's and found out that they have so much more! I ordered chicken soup as well as potato salad and Cole slaw. They also have chickens and sell sandwhiches. We ordered the potato knish, broccoli knish, beef knish and sweet potato knish. All were delicious. I give 4 stars because it wasn't the absolute best knish I ever had, but it was definitely good enough to come back again. Every once in a while I have to drive into the New York City Area from Poughkeepsie New York (2 hour drive each way). For business or just unusual supplies. On this trip my wife was taking care of Filipino business in Woodside so I figure great it would give me a chance to go get some knishes. Don't let the name of this place fool you like it fooled me. It's what I call a Shabbos Kitchen set up in a store front. The potato knishes had to be reheated when I got home causing the dough not to be as flaky as a fresh fully cooked one and the latkes (potato pancakes)were just okay! I understand a Shabbos kitchen is for people who are from out of town and don't have time to cook Shabbos meals because they are taking a rest day and do not cook on Saturday's and usually have meals delivered to their hotel after going to temple and pay after Shabbos, and that's what this place seems to be set up for and not direct sales to the public, So the food is okay for a quick easy meal that your mother or bubba (grandmother) could make but if your expecting a sit down delicious 5 star meal with a high quality bakery knish, forget about it! I know this place has been here forever but since my daughter recently moved to queens this was a new discovery. Took out during the Carona pandemic and I appreciate that only 1 person was allowed in at a time. Don't know how many employees they have during a normal time. The person before me was inside for about 25 min and I was losing patience. I finally got in and I swear it took the guy 15 min to make a corned beef and pastrami sandwich. Besides that I got a noodle pudding, beet salad, cucumber salad, stuffed cabbage, chicken soup with matzo balls, a few knishes , and a few other things. I was there for 35 min and dying from the slowness. The potato knishes was very good but the kasha one tasted pretty much like the potato. I threw out a large container of beet salad. I've never seen anything look like that! It was shredded soft beets and a strange taste. Stuffed cabbage was delicious. Not overly sweet. Corned beef and pastrami were excellent. A bit skimpy and expensive. Delicious bread. Cucumber salad was ok. Brisket knish was yummy. The soup went to my mom along the the noodle pudding. I didn't get a chance to take pics. The website is probably old and doesn't reflect up to date prices. If I lived in the area there's a chance I would return but not if service is still that slow!! Knishes both big and small, available in a whole assortment of flavors including potato, spinach, kosher, mushroom, the list keeps going. They serve a giant Hebrew national kosher beef hot dog wrapped inside a thin knish that when served with brown mustard, Really hits the spot. I would be remiss if I didn't say that this place has some of the best chopped liver I have ever had. I have to prevent myself from becoming gluttonous when I come here, and keep the order in moderation as it is hard to control myself with how good it is. My Grandmother used to make the most delicious knishes ever! Her potatoes were perfect and filled into dough, mound into long logs with slits every @ 3 inches to make them bite size. As a little girl I could eat these for a meal & she always gave us trays of frozen knishes to go. Well Grandma isn't here, and I found that the Knish Nosh made trays very similar. I have been a customer at Knish Nosh for 50 years... Yes, 50. These are [bar none] the best knishes. on the planet. Potato, Kasha, meat, spinach, they,re all spectacular. This tasty dough covering the most delicious fillings all surrounding the potato. Their new store, just a few stores down the block on Queens Blvd from the prior ones has enough seating, and is bright thanks to the large windows in front. I've only seen the owner at the counter who has helped me each time I have been there. I know there are people working in the back preparing all the food they make.
