Ate here today by myself after training for the polls. I had brought and ate the pastrami sandwich and matzo ball soup that it had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and super fast. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Queens Blvd in Rego Park is always an adventure. Driving means, if you see a parking space, grab it. Knish Nosh has long been on my bucket list. Always drove by, never stopped in. This time I did. I spotted from the front counter, the lady in the back telling me, someone will be right out. A very small store with one table for two inside, and a place to nosh on the sidewalk. Soneone ahead was picking up an ordere of pastrami, but I was here for the signature potato knish. Now for those poor souls that have gone their entire lives without, the k is not silent. It is massive. It costs a bit more but also is larger than Yonah Shimmel's. It is good and thankfully not at all greasy. I am satisfied.

Service is very friendly. Ordered 2 sandwiches, one pastrami and one corned beef. Both very delicious, and come with a pickle. The matzo ball soup and potato knish were tasty as well.

A true throw back delicious kosher deli. Knish knosh always hits the spot when craving a proper kosher meal. The soups, knishes, stuffed cabbage are some of my favorites there. The workers are all so incredibly sweet and even give cookies to my kids free of charge. A true gem of a business that's missing in a corporate landscape of food availability. Just remember It's a very small space so it's better suited for take-out rather than eating there. Highly recommended.

Pastrami sandwich on rye with a pickle - The actual pastrami was pretty good, but the overall sandwich was pretty weak. For the price, I was expecting a heavier sandwich. Don't expect to be full at all. Meat Knish - This one was pretty tasty and super hefty. I would come back for this. Potato Latkas - Thin, greasy, and lacking flavor. Chicken Broth 32 oz - This was okay on the first day. However, I'm not sure if they pre-make this well in advance, but the next day the broth was smelling funky and the taste definitely changed.

The "knishes are delicious" at this 'been around forever' and clearly aged deli. Wide variety of delicious knishes & other items. I had potato, sweet potato, mushroom and kasha knishes & they were all delicious.

The best knishes in town!!!Favorites like a killer roast chicken and updated classics like vegan stuffed cabbage in a cute QB storefront. Ate: Mushroom knish Borscht Vegan stuffed cabbage Total $30 The freshness of the dough is so delicious. The owner Haig is a great local character and the vegan stuffed cabbage was perfection.

Ask the Community - Knish Nosh

Is there a place on Long Island to buy the knishes?

Excellent question! I recommend calling Knish Nosh to ask.

Is there an outlet in Florida? Like BJ's? How long will they last if they are frozen and driven to Florida? How much to overnight adozen to Florida?

As far as I know they do not have a store in Florida. You would need to call them to ask about shipping. Good luck, hope you get yer knish.

Will knish nosh or another knish maker consider mailing to California?

The service was quick, food came out quick and dishes were cleared quick too! We tried a variety of kebabs and a mushroom cheburechki. The mushroom cheburechki was my favorite thing this evening but everything else was pretty good too! Portions were big and prices were reasonable. My takes on each dish: 1) cheburechnaya salad - light but flavorful, good to pick on with your meal. I like the avocado on top. Small portion is good enough for 2. 2) thin cut fries - like shoestring, really unique. Half portion is good enough for 2. 3) mushroom cheburechki - crispy but juicy, delicious with sauce. Definitely try this! 4) veal liver kebab: good when hot but I think one or two bite is enough because liver taste is strong.. if you like liver definitely get it, otherwise can skip. 5) lamb kebab: good, juicy. Definitely eat while hot, can be tough while cooler. A nice basic taste, nothing too weird. 6) sweetbread kebab: not my favorite it tastes a bit too fatty without justifying the fat. 7) lulya kebab: one of my favorites. It's a ground meat kebab and it's very juicy. Definitely get it! 8) beef skirt kebab: maybe my favorite one. It tastes like a juicy steak bite. 9) no fat lamb ribs: second favorite. The seasoning is good. A bit gamier than the basic lamb kebab. Overall we enjoyed the meal and will be back to try some other items! The only gripe is that the meat is a bit rare and I would not like to eat organ meat with some blood in it. My stomach was not used to it even the next day. Not sick but not feeling my normal self. I suggest them cook the organ meats more well-done next time for food safety.

There are many other options in the area, but I have always come enjoyed this place, and now I treasure it more than ever before. The decor is a bit loud and gaudy for me personally. I always preferred the interior design of Taste of Samarkand or Art of Grill, but I'm okay with Stix's decor because it's bright and clean. More importantly, I love the food at this place. Every time I come here, it's absolutely fantastic. They shine at grilling skewers, so I'll start with that. You really can't go wrong, but I would always get the lamb, lamb ribs, beef, baby chicken, chicken w/ bones, and sea bass. The lola kebab and the chicken lola kebab are not bad, but definitely better at Art of Grill. For the more adventurous, try the veal sweet bread, veal liver, and lamb fat. The only kebabs I am not a big fan of here are the quail. As for appetizers, you have to get their flavorful Uzbek mantu. However, crispy cheburek and flaky samsa are both excellent too. Herring Garnish is very tasty as well. Moving onto salads, I typically order the Humus and Babaganush for dipping with the Tandoori Bread. Korean Carrot is also a nice starter. If you are fond of soup, then I highly recommend Osh-Potche. Lastly, Asian Pilaf is a nice way to end the meal when dining at an Uzbek restaurant, though I think their version is average. When all is said and done, every meal is always amazing. The cost of the meal is always reasonable. And a good time is always had by all every time.

I suggest looking at the tablet. It took a while to decide what we wanted as there were so many sections. I chose the two soups, which were the dumpling langman soup and the shurpa soup. One tasted like chicken soup but with lamb instead. However, both were pretty small. For the table, we got the Manti soup dumplings, which had minced beef inside with soup inside too and beware it is hot. Also, we got the shepherds salad, but they don't have feta cheese, so we got it without that one ingredient.
