Give Me Water Please Sandwich
Carina H.

This place has changed sandwiches for me. I used to think *ingredients* when I thought of sandwiches, but this place makes me think *flavor.* The Give Me Water Please Sandwich, ladies and gentleman. I actually felt like I needed some water, and while my spice tolerance isn't the best out there, I eat spicy foods regularly. While there aren't a lot of toppings in this, my bites were the perfect size. The cucina was clean with a variety of jams and aiolis for cooking. The service was absolutely amazing, and the staff was really friendly. My boyfriend loves talking about food, and the staff made helpful recommendations to suit his tastes. I'm definitely thinking about getting an aioli or jam for myself next time!

The Spanican

Decided to stop by to get lunch from here. I got the spanican with wrap instead. Both of the sandwiches were good (could put more meat).kinda pricey tbh, total was $27 probably bc of in Forest Hills. Their service is nice and they are very friendly & funny :)

I stopped by to grab a sandwich. The shop wasn't very busy, but it looked like the staff was preparing a bunch of to-go orders. They had lots of options at the deli counter and everything looked delicious. I ordered a tuna wrap, which was pretty much tuna and veggies, but I requested it without cheese. I was pretty surprised to see that the sandwich was $12. It would have been nice if it came with chips or some other small side. Honestly, I'd prefer to grab a more substantial meal elsewhere for that price. The sandwich itself was solid, but nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for something convenient and high-quality, this is a good option. However, I'd prefer Chipotle or another fast-casual restaurant for something more filling and flavorful.

Wonderful sandiwch shop on the block. Good service and my go to here are the pressed panini sandwiches. Anything with the plum jam is great. Juicy tasty rubens and a nice proscuitto and cap pressed toasty sandwich. Really feels like a shop from Spain to full your sandwich needs. Will be back.

My new go to place for fresh Italian cold cut sandwiches! Aside from their large collection of quality meats, cheeses, and condiments, and their sandwiches are made on the spot. The bread is always fresh and the portions are pretty big. I usually get the Bella which has prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers in it, but they have a large variety of sandwiches for you to choose from. I also like to buy their olives by the pound!

Another need met in the Forest Hills food scene, met since 2012 that is -- where have I been? Proscutto hanging from the rafters just makes me happy, as do a plethora of perky olives and how they bring color to their display case. Stonewall Kitchen took up far more of the shelf space than I could have guesses as this is a high end eatery and shopping location. Among the prepared foods were the usual suspects of chicken cutlets to quinoa salad and most everything in between. The cheese case to the far end was absolutely spetacular as to milk types, geographic origin, well displayed and quite the variety. I'm so interested on a quick price comparison with Cheeses of the World a half a block east. Directly behind the cheese reach in cooler sits the beverage cooler that sell beers, the likes of which I have never seen nor read about. The prices are going to be more than one would come to expect, but clearly, these too, as with the entire store -- is not something you see everyday.

There's also prepared foods and delicacies, should you be craving olives or Damon or something to heat up and cook.

Ambiance-wise, well, this is New World Mall's food court so be prepared to hustle for a table. This is not fine dining, people, but it is straight up good food worth going out of your way for.

YES!!!!! My first visit, finally. April 10, 2026…read more Do one thing, and do it well!! And Danny & Coop's does--THEY DO CHEESESTEAK VERY WELL!!! No decisions to make, this is the one item on the menu. You do have the option to get a side of SWEET OR HOT PEPPERS, for 75 cents. These are in a small container, you may ask for a fork. I did. I got the sweet peppers. Enjoyed them. If you like sweet gherkins, you'll enjoy the sweet peppers! It was Friday, about 4pm, I walked right in, saw some people waiting for their orders, and I went directly to the front counter to order. That's the only counter to order at. :). Tyler was at the register. Service with a smile. Thank you patient Tyler at the register. I was lucky you were there! LOL. I thought I was totally prepared with cash, to be quick when ordering, but alas, what I "knew" to be a $20 bill in my little zip wallet, was a $5. Have you noticed this happening in your Wallet? LOL. The $20 bill turns into a $5. So, I knew I had more $5's. I just had to get them out. And, I am grateful for Tyler, Mr Cool at the register. Thank you for your patience and kindness. I'm also grateful the 2 people behind me were nice too. I also want to thank the nice person who brought out several orders, one of which was mine. Great friendly, helpful service. You have the option to get a text msg when your order is ready. Nice feature. Since it was nice outside, I decided to walk across the street to the large park, and sit on a bench to enjoy my Cheesesteak. There is a bench in front of Danny & Coop's but 3 women were enjoying a Cheesesteak. They were sharing one cheesesteak. And it is HUGE!! So, those were still nice portions from one Danny & Coop's Cheesesteak. Next time I'll try to bring a friend, because I still have half of my Cheesesteak left. But, by the time I get home, I bet I'll be able to finish it. So, YES, you should enjoy a huge cheesesteak here!! See my photos. My huge delicious cheesesteak was about $25.31, including my side of sweet peppers. I put some $ in the tip jar. I did not get a beverage. But, YOU can. Enjoy!

Waking to my vision center I stopped abruptly to re-read a peculiar sign advertising Bagels, Pizza & Sushi, all under one roof. The temptation was there to have a closer look at this odd trifecta, but it was not to be on this day. Today I walked into Nagilah Market to stroll the aisles and see what was offered behind the large glass paynes of the stores front which looked like a hybrid of Odd Lot meets Wholesale Liquidators with the window dressing of someone on a bit too much peyote. The inside of the store was disheveled and if you could make out any methodology of rows, your wiser than mouse than I as it felt like some experimental maze for humans. Items everywhere, pricing labels were few and far between and no logic to placement of anything. But after getting my bearings I began to fill my basket with many extraordinarily well priced Middle Eastern products. Cans of sardines, grape leaves, teas, spices, oils and more. Upon check out I was asked by the man behind the counter what were my intentions with a particular spice I selected. The other four men who were at the counter, seemingly all buddy buddy with the owner stopped talking to listen to my response. "Purely experimental" I stated as was the case. "Oh" he stated, "I thought you were a chef". Whatever the answer, he proceeded to take the plastic container from me, walk to a large area of loose spices and grounded me up a fresh batch. How cool is that? A full basket of cooking goodies ran me a Jackson and I once again have the coolest contents in my fridge of all my cooking buddies, for now.
