I wanted to place an order here for the longest time after trying a catered sandwich at a birthday party, which was incredible. Entering the store, which is a long and a narrow yet fairly sun-lit location, the two employees seem flabbergasted. We placed an order online and I'm not sure if it's because it's the beginning of lunch time but they seemed disorganized. Then we finally got our sandwich and I said we'll eat right at the few spots by the window. Incredibly convenient. Asked if they could cut it in half since we wanted to try it fresh on the spot. One guy was friendly, the other was lukewarm. I had to explain, it's our first time ordering so will understand to clarify instructions in the online order to have it cut in half in the future. Besides the customer interaction, the sandwich is pretty good. Great crunch in the bread, ingredients are just enough (not like Stacked but good enough to fill you up). It's certainly a great option for sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Probably better to order online than in person as they can be busy just making sandwiches and not be able to tend to in-person interactions as quickly.

My wife and I decided to stop inside Mr vino. She ordered a tuna wrap ,the tuna was very bland didn't have any taste or flavor to it .she thought maybe they would put some seasoning on there since we seen all the seasoning on the counter. Maybe next time we will ask them to put some seasoning on the tuna wrap.

This place has changed sandwiches for me. I used to think *ingredients* when I thought of sandwiches, but this place makes me think *flavor.* The Give Me Water Please Sandwich, ladies and gentleman. I actually felt like I needed some water, and while my spice tolerance isn't the best out there, I eat spicy foods regularly. While there aren't a lot of toppings in this, my bites were the perfect size. The cucina was clean with a variety of jams and aiolis for cooking. The service was absolutely amazing, and the staff was really friendly. My boyfriend loves talking about food, and the staff made helpful recommendations to suit his tastes. I'm definitely thinking about getting an aioli or jam for myself next time!

Decided to stop by to get lunch from here. I got the spanican with wrap instead. Both of the sandwiches were good (could put more meat).kinda pricey tbh, total was $27 probably bc of in Forest Hills. Their service is nice and they are very friendly & funny :)

I stopped by to grab a sandwich. The shop wasn't very busy, but it looked like the staff was preparing a bunch of to-go orders. They had lots of options at the deli counter and everything looked delicious. I ordered a tuna wrap, which was pretty much tuna and veggies, but I requested it without cheese. I was pretty surprised to see that the sandwich was $12. It would have been nice if it came with chips or some other small side. Honestly, I'd prefer to grab a more substantial meal elsewhere for that price. The sandwich itself was solid, but nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for something convenient and high-quality, this is a good option. However, I'd prefer Chipotle or another fast-casual restaurant for something more filling and flavorful.

Wonderful sandiwch shop on the block. Good service and my go to here are the pressed panini sandwiches. Anything with the plum jam is great. Juicy tasty rubens and a nice proscuitto and cap pressed toasty sandwich. Really feels like a shop from Spain to full your sandwich needs. Will be back.

My new go to place for fresh Italian cold cut sandwiches! Aside from their large collection of quality meats, cheeses, and condiments, and their sandwiches are made on the spot. The bread is always fresh and the portions are pretty big. I usually get the Bella which has prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers in it, but they have a large variety of sandwiches for you to choose from. I also like to buy their olives by the pound!

The only modification you can make is if you want to add peppers on it. Otherwise there is nothing else. The steak comes with onions on a sesame seed roll (pretty sure it is Amoroso), and a sharp White American cheese (they call it something else but I forget). It all marries up to one amazing flavor, though I had to pick out many onions to make it happen. If I were able to get this without the onions, I would have eaten every last ribbon of meat. I made this known to the young man who was behind the counter and took my order. Do not expect any seating here. Just a few bars on the wall to eat your steak, and a small bench outside. That is all you get. But I get it. This is meant to be ordered and then taken to the park or back to your apartment to be scarfed. Unfortunately, I do not live in Alphabet City, so I have to make do with the long bar on the inside. The service here is super friendly and genuine. I really hope the staff here enjoys making the steaks as much as I enjoyed eating one. Because I cannot take out the onions, and out of respect for those who cannot eat onions (like myself), I cannot favorite it because that would imply I would like to return here. Due to that little inconvenience, I cannot return here. However, can I recommend it to you? Absolutely, absolutely.

It's a little overwhelming because there is definitely a lot of seafood to choose from. The fish selection looks fresh but they do have some previously frozen seafood like large prawns and lobster tails. They have the names of everything and the price per pound posted which can be a little intimidating because it's a bit expensive. We ordered a grilled branzino and asked for the large tiger shrimp. The staff behind the counter said it would be the ones without the head but when long at the sign, it said head on tiger shrimp so I was a little confused but we just went with it because we assumed the staff knew what they were talking about. We did also get the head-on large prawns. We asked for everything to be grilled and confirmed that they don't use butter or cheese or cream on anything and then we went upstairs to get a table. Upstairs by the window is nice because you can people watch on a good day. We asked the staff member if there were any butter or cream or cheese in the mezza or rice and she said no, so we proceeded to order those and also asked about the soup of the day. She told us it was a shrimp and corn soup and that sounded good so we ordered that as well. The mezza came and the babaganoush and moussaka were good. The lemon potatos were fine but other places have made it better. The tahini was tahini and nothing special. The soup came and we took a sip and it tasted like cream so we were confused because the staff member didn't mention cream when she was taking about it. We asked about it when another staff member came by to drop off the rice. The original staff member who helped us came back over and we asked her if there was cream in the soup. She told us that yes because it's a chowder and the chowder has dairy and told us that we ordered the soup. I'm not denying that we ordered it. My issue is that we specifically asked about avoiding dairy in other food menu items and she didn't even stop to mention that hey the soup of the day that you want is a shrimp and corn chowder and has dairy. She took it back but I felt like we were inconveniencing her because of her tone. The mains arrived shortly after. The head-on prawns came and then the branzino. The large head-on prawns were overcooked and a little rubbery. The branzino was a touch too lemony but that was probably my fault for squeezing lemon over it. The fish was firm and smooth. There wasn't a lot of flavor on either dish. By this time, our table is pretty full and one of the staff members came by with the tiger shrimp and he more or less just stared at the full table and then plopped the plate down right next to my husband's phone. We barely even had time to move plates around to clean up space for him, but I feel like they should have definitely looked a little harder because one of our plates was just full of bones and shells and could have been taken away which would have made room for the shrimp. They were also over cooked and rubbery. Throughout our meal, no one came to check on us once. At the end of the meal, I used my own hand sanitizing wipes and was a little puzzled that they don't give any to customers. We got the bill and were a little peeved that they charged us $3 to butterfly the branzino. We weren't told about that and we didn't particularly ask for them to butterfly it. There's individual hand wipes by the stairs and it's odd that staff don't bring them to you once you're ready to pay. Are customers expected to walk around with dirty hands to go grab the wipe by the stairs? It's definitely a one time experience and overall, I wouldn't recommend it for the poor service and seafood being overcooked and underwhelming.

Upon check out I was asked by the man behind the counter what were my intentions with a particular spice I selected. The other four men who were at the counter, seemingly all buddy buddy with the owner stopped talking to listen to my response. "Purely experimental" I stated as was the case.
