From the moment we reached out to Myra, head of catering, we knew we were in great hands. She and Chef Jose--the mastermind behind TMac's mouthwatering menu--put together a meal that truly wowed our guests. We started with refreshing ceviche and crisp jicama salad, followed by a knockout dinner of shrimp and steak fajitas loaded with all the delicious fixings. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, the dessert bar rolled out: strawberry mini pies, churro bites, and savory meat empanadas that kept us dancing and celebrating into the night. Somebody is in love!! Don't let this first sentence fool you. We arrived on time for our reservation and sat outside. The meal started off great with Seared Ahi which was spectacular. The presentation and taste made it the best I have ever had. We should have stopped there. Next was a House Garden salad which was so salty it was uneatable. I waved down the waiter and another salad arrived. It was also very salty and I did not eat it. Next came the Seafood Risotto and guess what? Too much salt. Somebody just couldn't get the message. As my mother used to say, "When the food is salty, the cook is in love." Well, someone was deeply in love. I liked eating outside. The inside of the restaurant did not appear to be particularly charming. Personally, I feel the food should speak for itself. Salting the food, is not a good sign. read more

The seared ahi tuna dish is absolutely delicious, not to mention a stunning presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and the crunch of the plantain chips - and an absolute steal during happy hour for only $10! Everything was great! Went with my golf group after a round at Wine Valley. We had 3 appetizers and we each ordered an entree. I had it narrowed down to 2 options and the server helped me decide...he wasn't wrong. The lobster Mac was out of this world! I figured it would not have much lobster in it because it was such a nice restaurant and it wasn't very expensive. Not only was there a whole lobster tail on top, there were chunks of lobster throughout! Great service, beautiful ambiance and amazing food! This is the best meal I've eaten in 2 years. And, yes, I have eaten out. My husband and I are visiting from outside Portland for some wine tasting. We arrived without a reservation for tonight and reviews brought us to TMACS. We sat in the bar -- upscale, nice ambiance. Camas was our bartender. The staff takes their job seriously. They appear to know the mission and carry it out. Camas makes a MEAN craft cocktail and takes his job seriously. We tried the strawberry rhubarb Manhattan. Delish! Not sweet...subtle. The strawberry presented in the finish. We ordered the wild chanterelle bruschetta, the Brussels sprout salad, and the black cod. Each dish made me want to order everything on the menu. The flavors played off each other interestingly and flavorfully. The textures were diverse. Together, each dish was the perfect version of itself. I can't imagine eating anywhere else this weekend! I actually had the thought, "could I maybe live here?" Best meal in two years. This chef belongs in Portland or San Francisco. Well done, Walla Walla. read more

First off, a shout out to Caleb. Of the thousands of restaurants we've been to, he's possibly the best server we have ever encountered. What a delight he made our visit, acting as the perfect host. Kudos! TMACS was our best meal during our days in Walla Walla. The food and ambiance were both just what we look for when dining out. There is ample outdoor seating, but we chose to dine inside and enjoy the dramatic interior. The bar and tables surrounding it can be a bit lively, but the upstairs mezzanine is an intimate respite from the activity below. We loved the low lighting levels upstairs, and wish more restaurants were like this. All of the food we had was excellent, with complex flavors and deft plating. Particularly noteworthy were the Local Melon Gazpacho, the Pear Salad, and the Lamp Chops. The wine list focuses on local wines, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you have only one dinner in Walla Walla, this is the place to go. read more

We visited Walla Walla from Seattle and didn't have super high expectations for the food and wow were we wrong. The great experience at TMACS started right when we walked in and the host greeted us and was just so nice and welcoming. We ordered and got drinks quickly, then had brussels sprouts, strawberry salad, asparagus soup, steak, and bolognese. I'm not over exaggerating when I say everything was perfect (ok the bread they brought us and don't charge for was bland but it was free!). Usually I am really not a big fan of gnocchi but TMACs may be the exception. Most gnocchi has almost no texture and is over sauced. Theirs is a nice mix of seasoned gnocchi mixed with sautéed mushrooms, Cali flour, herbs and cheeses. Overall it makes the texture so much better and the flavor as well. We also got the pear salad which was very fresh and had a great mixture of candied nuts, cranberries and other salad topping that really brought it together. They were nice enough to seat us in a private seating area that had enough room for our large party and had a great atmosphere. That being said, where we were wasn't the exception. It looked like anywhere you say had great atmosphere. Overall I would definitely recommend TMACs for a fancy date or special occasion. read more

Oh TMACS, May the 4th was a bright light to an otherwise cold and raining spring night in Walla Walla. This was our second time back to this beautiful space in the downtown area and we enjoyed every course presented. Let's start with the cocktails - two versions of an old fashioned and a delightful concoction celebrating a favorite movie of mine - all were unique and delicious. Next up was the mushroom bruschetta - I would gladly have this again and instead pair it with a favorite red wine from the from one of the great wineries this area has to offer. Then we had the strawberry celery salad which was refreshing and a nice change from our go-to Caesar. The final two main courses were a shrimp and scallop dish dressed in a light and flavorful sauce that had a hint of Thai curry and Bolognese with house made pappardelle pasta were a nice way to finish our meal. Our servers were top-notch and provided us with clean dishes and sliver ware with every serving which was a nice way to try every dish so that the unique flavors stood on their own. We are looking forward to come back next year to see what else TMACS and there wonderful staff have to offer. read more

This review is a shout out to Myra and the amazing catering team at TMACS. I hosted a retirement party off-site for 12 people and the TMACS catering team were outstanding. Due to a little extra wine tasting on our part, we were going to be a little late arriving for the start. No problem... The crew and the food were in place, and they adjusted the timing, with a smile. The appetizers and charcuterie boards were awesome. The dining table was decked out and set so beautifully we were afraid to disturb anything.... They then seated all the guests and dinner began. The service was polite, professional and FUN. The mains were wild boar pasta and chicken parm; both done to perfection. The sides were also tasty and well prepared. We finished off the meal with some insanely good handmade desserts. All in all, a fabulous, very personable and professional dining experience. And luckily, there were even some leftovers! I would highly recommend TMACS for any catering occasion. Cheers! read more

Went to Tmacs for our anniversary. I had the loli pop lamb chops with carrots. Before they were fab.,cous cous fab. Now the lamb is micro sized and carrots were rocks (raw). The service was nice and the restaurant was very clean. The food was okay. We had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Salmon Cakes, and Strawberry salad. I had a local beer and my wife had a cocktail. The cocktail was so full of ice, that it was difficult to drink and barely had any fluid in it. The presentation of the Mac and Cheese was beautiful, but the flavor was okay. I wouldn't eat it again. The salmon cakes were bland, but the salad was good. If you want to experience Walla Walla, go to where the locals eat. There are lots of less expensive places with better food. There is an attractive outdoor dining space where we would like to try next time. The only issue we had was that the music was loud, with the bass being annoying. We were in town to celebrate my Mother-in-laws 90th birthday We were very excited to take her out to dinner, especially since she doesn't go out to eat much. We landed on TMACS because of the variety of the menu, specifically the vegetarian options for Mom. Let's just say that everything we experienced needs improvement. We were a medium size group and the server provided no options, I had to pry for him to tell us which options would give everyone a some appetizer. My brother in law wanted a Pina Colada without alcohol, he just told him "we can't do that". Again, we had to ask numerous questions to get him to provide an option which, the server ultimately did not provide. As the evening progressed the server just disappeared, did not really care about how we were doing. When I left the table to use the restroom he was flirting with the bartender. He made no suggestion for accompaniments for the food and all our meals except one where cool or cold. Additionally, although our pasta dishes were not very saucy, they did not properly coat the noodles - the noodles were DRY. The restaurant was clean but loud, even in the corner they placed us. At the end, even though the server knew it was her birthday HE DID NOTHING. And then we all just wanted to leave. Very disappointing, don't think we will be back. It's a shame since all of us at the table own land in the area...I wish we had gone to the other restaurant option we were considering but they were closed on Wednesday. read more

Have visited TMACS many times over the years and it's always been great. Have recommended it to virtually every friend who has asked for dining options in Walla Walla. Unfortunately it seems to have tanked. Terrible service kitchen errors, inaccurate orders get a smile and a thumbs up from servers who just don't seem to care. Walla Walla wine capital of Washington ordered a bottle of Syrah and was brought a Merlot blend with no Syrah. Caught that in time. The food that I could eat was delicious but they were supposed to 86 the puréed carrot and berries. Well as can be seen from the picture of the lamb they floated everything in puréed carrots and left out the shiitake mushrooms. Very disappointing for a $200 meal. read more

We stopped in here during a road trip for happy hour. I can't remember the bartenders name, but he was a charming young man and a great mixologist. The drinks here are stellar! Our party of four enjoyed the best dining experience we've had since 2018 in Sienna, Italy. The food, service and setting were extraordinary. We were in town for the weekend for an event that also happened to fall on our anniversary. I picked this place because it appeared elegant and it was close to our Airbnb. Our reservation was for 8:30, realizing it was close to closing but that was because of earlier said event. Their reservation system was pretty neat and they texted me a few times to confirm, said they could get us in earlier but explained why we couldn't and they understood. We did arrive about 15 minutes early and got a table with only one other guest by us. After being told they were out of the Mushroom Bruschetta (no harm there being we were last ones of the day but my boyfriend was sad) we ordered salads, mine the Buratta and his the Garden House. The fried buratta itself was yum but I didn't care much for the kumquat cranberry gastrique dressing. And the prosciutto was just pulled from its package and placed on the bottom of the plate. Not bad, just not what I had envisioned. For the main course I ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, and he ordered the Wild King Salmon. Both were pretty good. The pasta was rich, I couldn't eat it all. The bummer was his salmon was overcooked and dry in spots, but when he got a good bite he said it was delicious. The gentleman dining alone by us got up to leave and stopped by our table. He raved about this place to us and said we absolutely had to order dessert. We didn't do that though because by the time we were done with our dinner, it was already 10 minutes after closing and we didn't want to be rude. Overall, it was a beautiful restaurant with wonderful service, pretty good food and the price was just right. I doubt we will be back in Walla Walla anytime soon, but if we are, we will stop by for dessert! read more

Tmacs is a great find in walla Walla. The first time we came was during the pandemic and outside seating. The weather and the service were both a bit cold. This time, total redemption. Sat at the bar and Mike did not disappoint Started off with his take on an old fashion with our wild mushroom Bruschetta. Then ordered the the ranch beef tenderloin and wild mushroom gnocchi. The tenderloin literally melt in your mouth. Ended with a nice tiramisu, espresso martini and a lemon drop. We are now making Tmacs on our rotation every time we go back to Walla Walla. read more

Our experience here was good but felt like it could have been great. My girlfriend and I split the Walla Walla Restaurant Month menu (salad + beef short ribs + huckleberry cheesecake), a pork loin entree, and two lovely cocktails, one elderberry and the other an Earl Grey whiskey sour. The Good *The Earl Grey sour was delicious. We both love whiskey sours and good tea, so this was a dream for us. Nice and smooth with the egg white. *The huckleberry cheesecake. Especially for a restaurant month menu, this was a huge slice of cheesecake, served with a big dollop of whipped cream. We were already full but squeezed it in. The Could-have-been-better *The salad looked wonderful with all of its citrus but just didn't have much flavor. *The beef short ribs were pretty good, but I felt like I've made better polenta at home. *The pork loin was total comfort food. It felt kind of like a pot roast to me. Good and a very ample portion, but maybe not worth the price. *The elderberry cocktail came in a glass loaded with ice. It was strong and there was plenty of it, but I just would have preferred less ice, where it felt like it was a race against time not to make it watery. The bad *Man, I was so disappointed that we told the waiter we had two birthdays in our group, he wrote it down in his order-book, clearly, and then he did nothing for us. Meanwhile, at the table next to ours, where they had another server, their desserts came out with candles on them and the waitress shared extra birthday cheer. I don't need a birthday song, especially not in the middle of covid, but why didn't our waiter even bother with candles? Why even write something down in your book? DON'T trust their Resy reviews. We complained about our meal served on 5/23/24 at 6:30pm and received an email from Resy that our reservation was cancelled at 7:46 pm. Resy only will post reviews from people who actually ate there. Nice trick TMACS!!! Subpar, lukewarm seafood risotto was served with multiple ingredients substituted or missing. No receptacle provided for empty clam shells (one of the sustitutions) I was contacted by the owner of TMACS who offered a refund for my meal. That was a nice gesture, but it still seems to me that RESY reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. If the only people allowed to review a restaurant are those that dined through reservations on the RESY system and a restaurant deletes your reservation after the fact, how can you trust the ratings? The owner also stated that only the owner of the restaurant receives the RESY review. If that is true, how does RESY create a rating? Does the restaurant owner choose their own rating? huh? read more
