Charged me 150 to tell me this info. I didn't believe them and told them to put it back together and I would get a second opinion. Took it to a body shop in Montgomery. They too couldn't find the leak, but said it was not the A/C pan. Charged me 225 and did not fix. I was then recommended to call SS. Told them the problem. He told me that they would not charge me 1 cent if he couldn't find the issue. I left the car with him and Before I got home, he called me and sent a video of the leak. He found it. He repaired it and dried out the carpet and fixed everything for like $1200. Over $2000 less that the dealer wanted and it turned out not to be the issue the dealer said it was. They are honest, quality service, and great value. Highly recommended

I also cannot speak highly enough about Scott's attention to detail and quality of work. The paint looks better than the OEM paint did after a paint correction. (Check out picture #5.) All-in-all I am impressed enough that I am headed back in the same week for work I need done on my other vehicles.

    Nicks Auto Repair and Restoration

After many years of my car sitting on Nick's lot. The restorations weren't done properly. This…read moreseems like a way for nick to claim restorations when it was a half hearted effort to do them right. Being charged over $30,000.00 and not having anything that was supposed to be done working properly. I took the car to another garage and had him look at the car without telling him what was supposed to be done. When he looked at it he went through several items that nick claimed were done right and he verified that they weren't done right. The second garage was totally independent in that he wasn't doing this to work on the car but a favor to me. I will now take the car to another garage that the second mechanic recommended and see how much more it is going to cost me. Long and short of it I have or had a (warranty) on the work and if I wanted to let nick continue to get the work done right, judging how long it takes when I did take the car back to him I might never drive the car again. And it still wouldn't be done properly. Nick, I think you know who I am and if you want to give me a call please do. Because this report doesn't come close to letting you know what a crappy job your garage did.

Why 5 stars? Because my inspections were quick and easy…read more --- --- --- I grew up in Texas but have lived in Florida for the past 15 years. After living in a state where inspections are not a thing, it feels pretty stupid that we have to do this in Texas. And when I say "stupid", I mean it feels like a money-grab for the government more than it feels like something that actually helps the environment or prevents car accidents. (To be honest, I'm not sure what the purpose of these are). So I say all of that to illustrate my irritation for having to have our cars inspected, on top of the 500 other things we've had to do after moving cross-country. But knowing that it had to be done, I went on the state website, put in my zip code and Nick's was the suggestion for the closest business to my house that offered inspections. I called and asked if I needed an appointment or if there was a wait - Nick himself answered and said there was no wait, and that I could pop in. So I came by and the inspection was super quick. The only mild inconvenience is that there were so many classic cars lined up in the parking lot, that we had to very carefully map out a way for me to get to and from the bay with the inspection machine. And later that afternoon, there was even more maneuvering required for my wife's car. But I will be sure to come to Nick's in the future if we ever have car trouble. I like how you're just kind of driving along a residential country road, and then bam - it's Nick's auto shop. It seems like kind of a quiet, neighborhood shop, which is ideal when you're hoping to avoid crazy wait times.

LADIES -- please read the other reviews carefully. If you aren't comfortable standing over your car…read moreor questioning every step, I'd strongly suggest steering clear of this place. I came in for one simple request: to have my coolant topped off so I could drive my car to my regular mechanic who just completed a full inspection in October. Instead, they kept my car for almost two hours, despite me repeatedly asking what the delay was and reminding them I only needed the coolant topped off. I was then told they "couldn't see where the leak was" and would need to take parts apart to locate it. I clearly told them NO and again stated that I was taking the car elsewhere. They then said they would just top it off. Thirty more minutes later, they told me my car was ready and charged me $74.25. When I asked what work was done, they claimed they "fixed one leak" but said there was another leak that would require more time and money. That makes no sense, because when I arrived, there were only minor drops. After leaving their shop, the leak was suddenly much worse, and nearly all of the coolant they added leaked out. I brought my car in with a simple request and left with a bigger problem than I started with. This experience felt misleading and unnecessary, and I would not recommend this place especially to women unless you are prepared to closely monitor everything they do.
