I called Milstead around 6:20 pm because the online portal did not show that the status of my service had been updated to show that the tow truck was in route or that the truck had already picked up my vehicle. I was told by a Milstead employee that their drivers were behind because of traffic and could not arrive before 7 pm. This was going to be a problem because the business my vehicle was at closed at 7 pm. The employee said that she could reschedule my service for 8 am the next day and I agreed to that. For the original service request, I spoke to a Milstead employee at 4:24 pm to confirm that they had received my request and it was confirmed. No one from Milstead contacted me to say that they were not going to be able to adhere to their arrival time. The next day, I called Milstead around 8:15 am to see if my car had been picked up and the employee said that my service had been set for 10-11 am and could not be moved to a sooner time. I let the employee know about my situation from the previous day and she said there was no documentation that my tow service was rescheduled for 8 am that day. I canceled my service with Milstead because they pushed back their arrival time twice without updating me that they would be doing so.

Instead of a clear explanation or written breakdown provided in advance, the situation escalated. I ultimately paid the fee under protest in order to retrieve my vehicle. I understand shops need to be paid for diagnostics, but fees should be clearly disclosed before service, and customers should not feel pressured when they decline repairs. I strongly recommend getting all diagnostic fees and estimates in writing upfront before using this shop.

I Had my wife and my mother in law with me, but not our bags! They were in another hotel & we were paying 2 hotels for one night! ( I wonder if our bags missed us? Lol) anyway, our hotel was about all there was around us and ever time I googled "auto repair near me" it gave me Lafayette ( which was 49 miles away & the truck squealed & popped like the wheels were coming off! I googled again & it gave me Spring Texas accidentally assuming " near me" meant I was at home...in Spring Texas ...so Google accidentally gave me " Eagle Auto..." Jeff let me know I was too far for them when I gave him the hotel's address! I had no idea he was in Spring! That would usually be the end of the call right? Not so with Jeff.. he found a five star shop...five minutes away....by using his computer to help me out. The shop was great to us ...good price good work...friendly service....and quick enough for us to get back to our other hotel before the check out deadline for another night for our bags, lol. The worst experience ever…read more Before our insurance would allow them to begin repairs on the car, they told me is it would be ready within 11 days. Once that 11th day came, we heard every excuse as to why my car wasn't ready. Finally, they told us that they ordered a part for the car, but it wouldn't arrive until the next day. The next day came and the car wasn't ready. The next day came, but their painting machine broke so I'd have to wait an entire week since they don't work weekends and the paint needs time to rest. They were able to paint my car, but it still needed to be aligned. They ended up losing my keys, costing us another week since this happened on a Friday. Finally they were able to operate on my car's alignment, but they still needed to order the headlight. This ended up lasting 4 weeks for something we were told would last 11 days. On top of that, they also took all of the change in the car, a phone charger, and a cap from my trunk. This is the worst place to take your car too, not to mention their work is crappy. The replacement parts they put on are plated over the original parts and grind against them. Horrible service on all fronts!
