    Shrimp Eggplant with Tofu

Excellent service. Food comes fast, even when a large party ordered before us. My meal (shrimp eggplant w tofu) was delicious. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because sometimes the meat can be too fatty for my liking.

A go-to for my mom and I! Good Chinese food and American Chinese food. We usually get the beef noodle soup, and a side of sautéed veggies which come with rice, and split. Pro tip for those that like a little spice - we always ask if they can add sautéed dry chili peppers. Otherwise, it's not a spicy dish (actually a touch sweet). Reasonable prices and good portions!

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Ann Arbor. They never disappoint. Their portions are huge and delicious. The green beans are my all time favorite!!

Very quick service. Super sweet owners and servers. Solid American Chinese food. Cashew chicken was my favorite. About $15 an entree. Right next to skeeps so if you go at night you'll hear and feel it.

Finally got an opportunity to dine here. We ordered General Tso and Salt & Pepper Shrimp, and both dishes were very good. Just the right amount of spice. They give you big portions, including the rice and water. Very friendly servers.

Always the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Quick and excellent service to get you seated and enjoying your meal. My favorites are still the Jalapeno chicken and Special tofu dishes.

TK Wu has been around for 15 years, if not more - I used to eat there when I was a UM undergrad. My parents and I were looking for a reasonably-priced place to eat lunch today since I was in town for a doctor's appointment and so I suggested TK Wu. Yelp says that they open at 11 but it's actually 11:30am. We walked in the door at 11:15 a.m. and the waiter let us sit and peruse the menus until they actually opened, which was nice of him. Lunch specials range from like $7.99-8.99 and you get HUGE portions. I remembered liking the Princess chicken but I can't really do spice anymore, so the waiter had it made with mild spice for me. I also had the wonton soup and a spring roll - all of the lunch combos come with your choice of soup, a spring roll, and white or fried rice. The chicken was very good and came with some vegetables, as well; however, I actually liked my mom's sesame chicken more. The fried rice was just okay. Some of the dishes that people around us had ordered also looked very good, there was one dish with meat and tortillas that I'm curious about. My mom was ogling the vegetable dish that another table ordered, too. Overall this isn't the best Chinese food I've ever had, but for a quick and cheap lunch I would come back here. They also have bubble tea. After 3 p.m. it becomes takeout only, so take note if you were planning on stopping by for dinner.

Super tasty food I had today with my husband. Their beef noodle soup is one of the best we ever had (we came from Los Angeles and had many before). Jalapeño chicken is another one surpassed our expectations, so juicy and delicious (be careful, this is very spicy). Fish with hot sauce is also amazing. My husband loves its fried rice. We love this place and for sure will be back soon.

What's worse is it's a hidden gratuity that you may never notice. Pro Tip: Unbelievable someone has to be told this; check every item on your bill. Always look for posted signs as you initial enter; especially near the cash register. Also read the menu thoroughly. Normally, I wouldn't complain too loudly about an automatic 18% gratuity. What if today's service was lousy? It's no longer a tip, but a service charge. The biggest problem is not informing customers in advance. Maybe illegal? Well, IYKYK. I hate their dining room and probably always will. It's just like a boring, drab, dull office building cafeteria with no colour and nothing on the walls. Just an opinion. Always wanted to vent that. When it comes to customer service they are smiling, friendly and accommodating. Things have become a tad slow since pandemic. Maybe it's yet one more staffing shortage? The food here is very good. I encourage you to try the duck. Friends swear by the Wuxi Ribs. They did just raise the price to $22; but remember to add the 18% so that entree is now $26. I wonder if being a family O/O business, all tips stay in the building. Isn't that just a hidden price increase? 11/24

Their online menu does not have the pictures that the in store one has and woowee it is a lot of choices of noodles! Amongst the 4 of us, we ordered the pork tip noodle, the Peking pork (zhajiangmian), hot oil wide noodle, beef tendon knife noodle. YUM! The noodles are handmade, handpulled and you can customize the shape and thickness you want! The portions as you can see are massive and the prices are very reasonable! $14/$15 a bowl! My pork rib tips were too tough but still seasoned. I would say their Peking style zhajiangmian is pleasantly less authentic and I liked this version better than the original! It included a braised full egg, and not too much of the cloyingly sweet and intense sauce. We ordered and within 2 minutes we were served fresh bowls of piping hot noods. Our server was efficient, warm, knowledgeable and bilingual. She said I looked like a popular Hong Kong singer, like OMG what a cute compliment! Gai's Kitchen is located inside of Bethlehem Church and when they say kitchen, they really mean it, there's no dine in or host stand to place an order haha. Despite this though, my friend and I were allowed to eat here in the church cafeteria adjacent to the kitchen after stumbling our way into the church and placing our order online, but just so everyone is aware this is for pickup, take out or DoorDash really. Now on to the food! My favorite thing we ordered was the Leshan Beef soup, so comforting, warming, and flavorful! Xiao, the owner, was kind enough to teach us how to best enjoy it which was to first take a sip of the broth, have some of the veggies, then dip the beef into the chili powder. The billionaires fried rice was unfortunately a bit under seasoned but at least the portion size was quite generous. The mapo tofu was very authentic and the numbing spice they used was top notch, although Xiao did mention that they would hopefully be moving towards using a more tender cut of tofu than the medium/hard tofu they're currently using which I think would be delightful. The snowflakes dumplings were good although I question how well the crispness of the dumpling lace will hold up during carry out considering we got to have these fresh. All in all very promising and authentic, I'm excited to see what else might make it onto the menu and how things might still improve from here, they're working out some kinks with the soft opening and they've only been open for 2 weeks!
