Best pho in ann arbor, hands down! Despite the food, atmosphere, and overall vibes being great, I'm all about the details and having hooks at the bar for your bag is one that did not go unnoticed by me! Anyways, the portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Although the space is small, don't let that turn you away from dining in- the quick turn around is what makes wait times so low! I would definitely recommend this place either through their easy online carry-out option or in person!

Always amazed on the food quality and service. Sad I didn't get the seafood pancake. But next time for sure

If you're craving something, get probably have it. I usually go here for ramen, but they also have pho, baos, and stir fry food! Tomukun is classic on campus for both students and families. The waiters are quick to greet you and get you to your seat. The bar seats are quite nice as well. Perfect for a nice, warm meal.

Good value, speedy service at the bar. Walked in around 6pm on a weekday for dinner and sat at the bar. Ordered the Pho Deluxe and a Sapporo. Beer was served ice cold, and in a frosted glass which was a nice touch. Pho came out very quickly and was PIPING hot (as it should be). Comes with the standard fixings on the side! Bowl is enormous and portion is large. You will leave full! Not necessarily my favorite bowl of pho in the area, but it does really hit the spot! I thought both the broth and the meat were pretty good, but not phenomenal. Noodles and other add ins are great. Jalapeños were pretty spicy ones! I was sweating eating through the bowl, which also felt right :).

Long wait - Big portions - Friendly - Don't come hangry because it gets pretty busy and you will have to wait a good amount of time. We sat at the bar because it meant instant seating. The seats are small but there are hooks if you have a bag or jacket that has a loop on it. We ordered the Butter Corn Ramen and Kimchi Jigae. The Butter Corn Ramen was good and had good broth. Lots of noodles! But the fried chicken gets soggy after being in the soup and it doesn't taste the best. The Kimchi Jigae is really spicy! The kind where I couldn't taste much cause it was so spicy! Our server was helpful and packed my leftovers for me and drew a cute dog on the container! What a fun added personalization! It's mostly students working here but they are all hard working and helpful (another person helped refill our waters).

Great food. Great service. Nice small place with great great food. Love this place. The broth is the best Raman broth I've had and I try Raman all over the country.

Was visiting Ann Arbor for work and stumbled upon this place while we had a break between events. Came in on a weekday during off hours so wasn't busy and was seated immediately. I ordered the chicken katsu and spring rolls. My coworkers got the ramen and katsu curry. The spring rolls were fresh and had big pieces of shrimp. The peanut dipping sauce was also pretty good. The chicken katsu comes with rice and generous portions of both. The sauce on top was good but I wish it came out on the side and the chicken itself was a bit dry. If you're looking for a filling meal, not a bad option but not authentic Asian food imo. The space looked clean and it's connected to a coffee shop next door.

While in town visiting, my daughter and I opted to check this spot out and sadly it was very disappointing Service was prompt and courteous, restaurant was clean and seemingly busy. The food however was terrible. So much so my daughter sent hers back!! The issue was definitely with the cook who was very heavy handed with the seasoning. I wouldn't go back but would however check out the Korean BBQ spot next door. Heard better reviews about that place!

SERVICE Walked in on a cold evening and put in our names for a waitlist expecting a 25 minute wait that turned out to be more like 10 minutes. FOOD Once seated, we ordered our drinks while looking at the food and immediately, the waiter put in the okonomiyaki order to make sure we'd get everything on time. We ordered the pho and ramen and all were incredibly satisfying and delicious. A lot of food for the price and we took half of it home! Would return when in need for a comforting meal!

the food was delicious, and the vibes were good! Service was attentive and the place was busy. food came out in a super reasonable amount of time. We sat near the door and it was cold.

Glass that I thankfully do not consume inside remains of Tomukun Pork Buns..

Ordered Tomukun Pork Buns, and thankfully spit out the shard of glass seen in the picture! The item was taken from the bill, but I could not enjoy the Pho Deluxe because I was so distraught from the glass, and the pork belly was over cooked, HARD, and looked old! I should have left paying nothing, but I split the Okonomiyaki with a friend, which was also mediocre, had a beer, and just paid for it because I was so disappointed and disgusted, I just wanted to leave. $51! I will NEVER come back here again.

First time visiting Ann Arbor and Tomukun was one of the first places I had the opportunity to dine in. Plenty of seating inside with a very chill/casual vibe. Out of the ramen menu items, Tomukun ramen and the Butter Corn Ramen were recommended as the most popular items. In addition to these two, the staff personally recommended the slow roasted spicy beef ramen which I ended up ordering. I haven't tried many noodle/ramen restaurants in Michigan, but the slow roasted spicy beef ramen was by far the best ramen I have had in a while. The soup was extremely rich and you could distinctively taste the coconut milk that gave it a smooth, creamy aspect. Beef was slow cooked, so you can expect the beef to melt and fall apart as you bite into it. Veggies were fresh and noodles were solid. Lastly, portion size is by far much bigger than your average ramen bowl which is GREAT. Would recommend, and I'd like to hopefully stop by again to try other items next time.

Tomukun was our favorite meal out of our 3 days in AA. we split the Korean BBQ Beef Bulgogi meal - came with an amazing large salad (such a good dressing that was consistently all over it), four sides (the kimchi and spicy cucumbers were our fav), 3 unique dipping sauces, and veggies to grill with the meat. It was so fun & romantic to cook together over our personal grill and the food was literally so freaking flavorful, tastebuds were exploding with delight at everything. The beef was thinly sliced, marinated well, and cooked tenderly and juicy! Our service was excellent, we came late on a Thursday night so we were one of a few customers left. Also ordered a Soju Spritz that really paired well with the meal. Still thinking about it as we are headed out of town.

    Are there any gluten-free options?

Yes, there is a gluten free menu that the staff know about if you ask.

    What are the vegetarian options?

There aren't many vegetarian options, but your best bets would be the edamame app and the summer rolls (minus meat) app. For main dishes try the Yaki Lo Mein or the Fun Noodles with tofu. Or maybe the Bibimbop hold the beef add tofu.

Not sure, but I was excited to come here and try the food. It was a thousand out of ten. We ordered so much, the server was in shock, but we reassured her we were taking most home. I also feel like I should comment on food waste. I am the leftover queen, and this amount of food supplied ten portions (meals) for us over time and was completely finished. I saw they had two locations, but I decided to try the Ypsilanti location. The people working here were very friendly and helpful. I basically ordered half of the appetizer section since there was so much delicious choices to try. I had the sticky rice shumai, roti with curry, spicy wantons, pan fried pork buns, chicken egg rolls, crispy pork lion roll, and Korean wings (not pictured since I got an additional carry-out for my kid). We also ordered Dan Dan noodles , pad Thai, and sesame chicken. The food was all so delicious. The Dan Dan noodles were the best I have had in a long time. I love that it was not too spicy, the egg was a great addition, and I do like cilantro. The sesame chicken was huge and so crispy. I liked the pad Thai, but my husband was a bit disappointed and felt it needed a little more spice or flavor. The portions were huge, which is how we got so many meals out of the food. I loved the spicy oil on the wantons. The pan fried bus were amazing, fluffy with a slight crisp. the Korean wings had a great flavor and I liked the shumai a lot. I love how chewy the roti was, the sauce could have been thicker, but I enjoyed the curry. Everything was so good, I am not sure what I liked the most. It was an adorable place with huge portions and good prices. I really hope to stop back in again, and yes, I will probably order a ton again to enjoy there as well as at home.

This place is aligned fairly well though with food in Korea though ie not highly westernized. This place is in the center of the college area on Liberty and State street. The selection is not extensive but the basics are here including BBQ. Side dishes are decent, Kimchi, which is fundamental to any Korean meal and varies by region, is always included and people have strong opinions about. Theirs is OK but not top notch. Other side dishes are decent. Whatever we ordered, BBQ, Yuk Gae Jang, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (Rice. Vegetables and beef inn stone pot), other was pretty good.....just like Seoul Garden used to be before ownership change. We used to go almost exclusively to Seoul Garden near the mall off Boardwalk but after ownership change stopped as the taste changed significantly and not for the better. Its nice to have The Seoul is an option. They have beer and soju (Ubiquitous Korean liquor in Korea that along with Kimchi is many Koreans blood) Environment of the restaurant is modern but still a bit cozy. Overall, definitely worth a try. While we are at it, I have spent allot of time in Japan on business (some vacationing too) and I know it's trendy to go there now especially with the exchange rate, and by all means go, allot to see and experience (and eat!) there. But don't overlook Korea. The two countries have a torrid history and don't want to admit they are similar in many ways....but they are and Korea is loaded with great places to go and food to eat. Traveling can be done on any budget, feel free to reach out if you want to learn more. Also love to hear from experienced travelers, love to learn of new places and things to do.
