I went to this location to purchase a few watches for a birthday gift. I was looking at the watches for about 5 Mins. No one came over to assist me I seen a representative (named Alisia) I asked her could I get some assistance in jewelry. She looked at me walked away & then walked around the counter to come inside of the jewelry area I said to her "I didn't even know that you heard me because you didn't acknowledge me" She proceeded "how can I help you". I looked at several watches after I decided on a watch. She started to put The watches back in the case. She said where is the other watch I explained I didn't have it. She said welling I'm missing a watch. I said I don't know where you put it but I don't have it. She started looking around and in the case. She then started just staring at me. I said " I don't steal and I have money to pay" she then looked st my purse and asked was in there. " I repeated " I don't steal" I'm a business owner and have more then enough money to purchase what ever I like. I laughed and moved a few things around in my purse and explain to her there's nothing in my purse I had my dog that was actually in my purse. I explain to her I did not have the watch I did not know where the watch was. I even said we can try to find it together but she had to have put it somewhere. She started staring at me again. I told her she can run the cameras back or call the manager but I didn't take anything. She then caught for a manager (which I later found out was Amanda) I told her to look in the case again because she took the watch. She refused to look in the case again she kept on staring at me as if I magically hide the watch somewhere. She looked around and looked back at me again I said ma'am don't have your product. I advised her again look in the case look in the box you may have put it in the box. She kept saying its not in there. She finally looked in the case and found the watch in the box. And gave me a very nonchalant "oh sorry" I was floored I couldn't believe what had just happen. The manager came over quickly and she told her that she didn't need her and everything was fine and the manager walked away quickly. She didn't even ask me was everything OK with me as a customer. I proceeded to go to the front counter to purchase my items and I still was at a disbelief that she accuse me of stealing. I went to my car and sat and thought about the situation and went back and return all the items and told him that I did not want to patronize the store because of how I was just treated. I requested to speak to the manager which happened to be Amanda. I informed her of it she refunded everything back to the form of payment that I originally used. She said oh I wish I would've known I would've said something then. I am formed her I was just in disbelief and very embarrassed. She gave me a nonchalant sorry as well and walked over and started helping another employee. She never even came back and address any empathy about the situation. As I was leaving I was kind of taking my time to see if she would come back and say anything which she didn't. Before I left I asked what her name was she said it very quick and turn her back on me And start merchandising clothes or products I'm not really sure.I hate to say this but I really feel like I was racially profiled and because I was not dressed in a certain type attire that I was treated a certain type away. I call later on the same night and spoke to Sylvia explain the situation she was a palled as well. I informed her that I will be contacting corporate to fill a complaint on the representative Alicia as well as informed them how nonchalant the manager was about the situation. I truly doubt that she even addressed Alicia in regards to the matter. However I will be contacting corporate To inform them of the incident, the embarrassment, and the lack of consideration due to the situation.. I would not patronize this location ever again. read more

it is amazing here one of my favorite stores but I payed in cash and the worker tried to convince me to give her that correct amount because she was to lazy to count cash then my older sister came and the worker got right on it but it took her a while to count out my change. overall the store is good but the employee's could be better. read more

Wow. What an amazing store. I have been here twice and have great experiences both times. They staff is so nice! They are friendly, they actually smile and say hi. I RARELY see that elsewhere. Usually I feel like a criminal, like I went to someone else's house and they are staring at me to leave. This TJ also has a great selection. I found adorable clothes for my niece. I love buying clothes for kids, it makes me feel rich. $7.00 for a shirt? No sweat, I can totally afford that! I live in Chino Hills, and I typically go to the TJ Maxx there or in San Dimas. I bought an Ariel head from the Redlands location during the holidays. The box was damaged so I asked if I could get a 10% discount or something- Manager said they didn't do that? I told her it looks like a return... she just shrugged her shoulders. During the holidays when my grandaughter did open the head- the head rolled off! It WAS BROKEN! I took it back and it had the sticker on it ($16.88) but I did not have the receipt ...I just wanted an exchange not the $'s back? But they did not have another Ariel head unfortunately... so the Manager said if you can remember the check stand number and the exact date you purchased it... maybe we can help you? REALLY??? DO YOU remember each and every purchase you made during the holiday season, Manager Lady? I was really, really disappointed with the lack of courtesy and in front of everyone - it was really just sad that the manager could not come up with any resolution? Which I feel she definitely could have. So... I had to trash the Ariel Head. So for around $20.00 TJMAXX lost a few customers... myself, my daughter, my husband ect. the Manager was extremely unreasonable- as if I had STOLEN the head or something? It's all good unless you have to return something without a receipt? Which never happens to me- but it was Christmas and it somehow got misplaced... I even offered her my credit card to run? She said they do not do it that way? I now figure life is too short to deal with rude people. This is something that is very easy to control to not have to deal with ugly people! read more

It never fails that each time I come here to browse I always find something to purchase. Kitchen gadgets are priced relatively cheap along with a selection I can't find in other stores. Moreover they actually have shirts that fit my chunky filled self. read more

Great prices great brands. I've had excellent luck at this store finding some really high-quality handbags,shoes and wallets that have saved me a nice lil bundle. The store is by far the best TJ Maxx that I have been to. Luckily it's right up the street so I drop in often so I can see if there's anything interesting. Wowee. I'm not from Upland, but came her randomly looking for a specific kind of shoe whilst going home to LA from Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead. OH. MY. GOODNESS. This store is leaps and boundsssssss above the Burbank/Glendale stores I frequent. Really quality merchandise at discounted prices. There was a pair of pink Nautica boat shoes for $3, and super cute Tommy Hilfiger wedges for $3 also. Too bad they didn't fit, or else I would have bought them in a minute. I found the customer service to be friendly as well. Yay. ;) I also like that you can take your dog to stores like this (in a stroller, hehe), and of course I did. :D Anywho, they have really great brand names throughout the store. Only bummer was not too many shoes in my size (I have not so tiny feet, let's just say). That's really all I can think of! I've never been to a TJ Maxx this uncrowded. I absolutely love this TJ maxx. It had everything I needed for my college dorm shopping and clothes, all at a very inexpensive price. They constantly restock on items. I had gone a week before to see if they had plain white adidas sneakers, however, none were in my size. A week later I came back, and there were adidas sneakers my size priced at $35. I knew I had to get them. They have such great selection of clothes, decor, organizational bins, everything. All of it is super organized and the workers are extremely friendly. So this is my story! My mom bought a purse 2 months ago and today we were going to return it. When we walk up to the counter, Michael, smile and said hello. As he scanned the tag we got with the purse, Micheal told us that it didn't match the bag that was sold to my mom. So after consulting with a manager, Michael was able to give us what we payed for the purse on a store gift card. Long story short, Michael was very polite and respectful. You go Michael! I love this tj maxx. They have a large selection of active wear and active gear. They sell blender bottles, weights, gloves, etc. The prices on these items are very reasonable. While it's only divided between casual and active, it's still very clean and organized. I like this location, and it's in a great place next to a nordstrom rack, panera, and other stores. read more

I purchased a Michael Kors purse. It was defective (if not a fake) because every time I put my hand into it to grab something out, the zipper would literally slice my hands and fingers. I went to back to the store and explained this the store manager Cassie G. She could care less. My purse still had the tag on it and the same purses were still in the store! I showed her the cuts on my hands, and a copy of my credit card receipt to show the purchase. None of this was good enough. Cassie G. refused to take it back and with a condescending attitude said: "Oh we can't do anything for you"; We don't have information on credit cards; We can't tell what you purchased by your own credit card statement; We don't know what you bought here; I don't know what to tell you." She was too lazy to even lift a finger to help or confirm my purchase by running the purse. I left the store with a purse that can't be used and feel defrauded. I have been an active hard working member of this community for 35 years. I will never return to this store and neither should you. Went to this store yesterday, because i bought a pair of pants that had a hole. The manager Julie O came up to register to deny the return because i stated i had "worn" them and found the hole in them. When i stated i wore them i specifically said only trued them on and saw the hole. But because i used the word "wore" she couldnt do anything about it because they were used. I explained i purchased them like that and hadnt noticed because i was in a hurry. She told i should me i should have noticed the hole and used look and her recovery team never ever allows items throughout the store to be in any kind of damaged condition. I shop at Tj Maxx all the time and see damaged items all the time. However, Juile denied that and said it was impossible for me to purchase the pants with a hole and went on to say that her recovery team always puts any damaged items to be damged out and they do not sell items that are in kind of damaged condition. I stated i will show her in her store many items that should not be sold. She said i wouldnt find anything and thats why she cant return the pants. I went back and the first place i looked i found several things and showed Julie. I proceeded to ask why her recovery team didnt find these items. She had nothing to say, she made me feel like i was commiting a crime because i tried to retrn a pair of pants that i purchased at their store that were not in saleable condition. This is seriously the best TJ Maxx I have been to. I used to work at a fancy department store selling expensive clothing. This TJ Maxx had nearly every brand I used to sell like jeans ranging from Hudson to Rag & Bone. I bought shirts here by Paige and Joie. I got a cardigan by Michael Stars here. Amazing selection, fantastic deals. Not only is their selection great but the way they organize the store makes it incredibly easy to find what you want. I visited the fitting room and restroom on my visit and both were very clean. The staff here is friendly and there always seemed to be a friendly face on the floor, incase I needed help. I also visited the pet section and there were so many amazing finds there for my dog. TONS of dog beds, bowls, you name it. The home decor section is beautifully laid out and I had to stop myself from buying things because I wanted to redecorate my entire bathroom with all the beautiful items they had. Their travel section is TO DIE FOR! I recently came back from traveling overseas for a few months and I wish I had come to this TJ Maxx before I left! I ended up buying from here a couple of amazing travel bags for my makeup, skincare items, haircare, etc. Their luggage selection is amazing, with trustworthy, sturdy brands. I even got a few cleaning items here, like biodegradable dish soap and all purpose cleaner. Seriously, I went to Target before I came to this TJ Maxx couldn't even find what I wanted there. There's also a Nordstrom Rack in the same parking lot at this TJ Maxx and I didn't bother going inside after I was done shopping. I found everything I wanted here and I will come back! read more

I love this location. I come here all time. The prices are very reasonable and I find the same stuff for twice the cost. 4 stars is for the restrooms. Please spend the effort to clean them more regularly. The last few times I came, there was no toilet paper. I am pregnant so I use the restroom often! read more

I returned shoes I only wore once. They were BARELY used and had my receipt. The manager did not want to give me credit or anything. I've never had issues returning anything when needed and surprised by their lack of customer service. Never going there again! Be careful if you buy anything and it shows any sign of wear, because they will not take it back. Terrible service! read more
