This store is big and it's also a BIG MESS! They need a crew to organize and clean. Came in for a blouse and belt. Belt section was ok but the rest of the store was unorganized. Clothes all over the floor. Racks with mixed sizes and clothing type. You can't even shop for a something specific because it's a disorganized mess. Horrible first impression. Worst customer service - TJ Maxx Irving This is the SECOND time I've had a horrible experience at the TJ Maxx location in Irving, and I'm done shopping here. The employees treat customers like we work for them. Zero respect, zero professionalism. The first incident: I was with a family member in the fitting room. I handed the employee clothes that were already on hangers (just not facing the "right" direction). Instead of simply taking them, the employee spoke to me rudely, switched to Spanish, and lectured me in a disrespectful tone, saying "next time hang them the right way." Completely unnecessary and extremely rude. Today it happened again. I am pregnant, tired, and shopping for maternity clothes. A pair of pants that was already hanging incorrectly fell to the floor when I barely touched it. I immediately picked it up and handed it to the employee. Her response? She told me to hang it myself, with an attitude, disgusting looks, and continued talking in Spanish in a mocking, disrespectful way -- as if she was insulting me. What makes this worse is that I was planning to buy items from the store, but because of the way I was treated, I left the items and changed my mind completely. No store deserves my money after that kind of behavior. I am a customer, not an employee. I should not be spoken to like this, especially while pregnant. Speaking another language to mock or insult customers is unacceptable and unprofessional. This store clearly has a serious problem with staff attitude and training. I felt disrespected, uncomfortable, and humiliated. This was my last visit to this location. I do NOT recommend the TJ Maxx Irving store to anyone. read more

Just go to a different location!!! Line was wrapped around the store with no way to make a return without standing in it. Having to wait 1+ hr in line is absurd, and not all check outs were open. After several trips where I ended up putting down merchandise and leaving because of long lines, I will avoid this Tjmaxx in the future. read more

I came in here because I needed a backpack. Not like a school backpack, but something a bit fashionable that could hold an Ipad and my training equipment. TJ Maxx to the rescue. I did not realize that this location was connected to the HomeGoods and utilized the same checkout. The store was VERY busy for a Thursday around 4. I did, however, find exactly what I was looking for at an excellent price. The line to check out went to the other side of the store. It did take a bit to finally get through the line, though they did have like 12 checkout lines going. That alone was impressive. The store was busy but not unorganized. The selection was good. I appreciate that they had more people on registers than I have EVER seen at a Target. It just isn't somewhere you would be able to just "run into". read more

I accidentally walked into this TJ Maxx because I didn't realize it was connected to HomeGoods. I haven't been to TJ Maxx in YEARS! The layout is typical of most "discount clothing" stores. Racks on racks of clothes based on style and size one side and shelves on shelves of shoes based on size on the other. The store is fairly clean, but depending on when you shop (weekends are a lot busier) you will find a lot of items in the wrong place. It's the charm of the chaotic goodness. To me, that is expected when shopping at a place like this. Sometimes you find something you to buy that you didn't even know you needed. In fact, I was looking for some dress shirts, but I ended up buying boxers because I bumped into the table they were on that was right in the middle of the walkway. The employees are helpful when you approach them, but they seem to keep their distance while you're shopping, and I really like that! Overall, you're not going to find amazing deals here, but it's definitely worth a look around. read more

I have been here numerous times, I am surprised I haven't reviewed it yet. Doing so after our most recent trip. I love TJMAXX. I could literally browse around for hours... especially since this TJMAXX and Homegoods are connected. Selection is very nice. I can usually find something I needed and more often than not, something I didn't need too. We came on a rainy Saturday night and this place was SLAMMED. The line had to be 25-30 people deep, if not more. Unfortunately we decided it wasn't worth waiting for the 2 small items we were purchasing. Despite this, I'd still give 4/5 stars and will be back. read more

Absolutely worst customer service at Store 6 in Irving TX. Store Supervisor, Angela C refused to give me refund on the credit card or cash back even though I had the receipt and within the return window. They would only do store credit (it was an online purchase). Christy was downright rude. When I asked to speak to a manager, they asked me to come tomorrow and said they would also do store credit only. Said if you are unhappy, we can provide you a 800 number to call. It's a shame when a big business like that doesn't give a crap about customer service. After wasting 40 mins talking to Christy and Angela, they also made me wait for another 10 mins for providing store credit. To clarify, this was TJ Maxx management and not Home Goods. read more

The fitting rooms were closed over an hour before close... I also noticed the jewelry counters were all covered with red cloth. The aisles were cluttered and unorganized. None of the sizes were in the right sections at all. Total waste of my time since I leave for a last minute trip tomorrow and needed to try in some jeans. read more

The key holder, Lucinda, was wonderful! She let us hold a full cart's worth of items and when we arrived 15 minutes to 9:00 (when we had to be there to pick up our hold) and I told Lucinda we wouldn't be at the front by 9:00 due to a very long line. Lucinda came and pulled us out of line and took us up to the register to check out! She was sweet and communicative the whole time we checked out and let us add an item on last minute. I come here about once a month or so to stock up on or replenish make up, face wash, moisturizer, lotion, and hair products. TjMaxx has an absolutely amazing selection of all of these products and amazingly low prices. I love coming here as I never know what I am going to find and I am never going to find the same thing twice. This allows me to try out new products and possibly find some products I may have used before. I have literally stopped going to other stores for these items because TjMaxx has me covered! This tj maxx has the greatest selection of everything but I hate going here because the cashiers are so pushy with the credit cards. There is a lady that was checking my items today register 5 at 12:45 that literally asked me 3 times about the credit card when I had said no each time I finally had to cut her off and be rude to her letting her know not only do I not want the store credit card but that I needed to get back to work. I have worked in retail before as a store manager and I understand what employees are asked to do but when someone says no you don't keep asking them. A man that works here does the same thing every time I go and I'm unsure of his name but it's the same thing every time and I'm usually on lunch trying to get back to work. read more

This is a pretty fabulous discount store as discount stores go. Here is the trick though: I never go on weekends. Read that: NEVER. So if you come here during the week though like normal unemployed folk who shouldn't be shopping but feel like we need to do something to stimulate the economy in our own way, it is amazing. Everything is in its place: no sweaters falling off the hangers, smalls in the large section and normal priced goods in the sale rack which I hate most about discount shopping. I have had some really great bargains here and some really great labels. What a T.J. Maxx carries largely depends on their demographic. So at this T.J. Maxx near the Los Colina's richy-riches, I have found patent leather Cole Hann clutches, I bought an ADAM dress for $10 (after a really great clearance), Abercrombie & Fitch hoodies for $15 (what? they have really great hoodies!). They also have a Home Goods attached. Where you can get some great table lamps for $40 - $80 (have you seen the prices at Target these days?), I have bought doggy beds for my pooch here, designer dog collars and leashes, really expensive olive oil for cheap(er), supplement my Le Creuset collection, etc. You get the drift. The place is clean, the line at the counter moves fast (they have electronic signs that point out the next available counter. Come here. Bring your credit card. Leave the husband at home. read more

To the manager administering this location: One of the employees working the register had been advising me to come up with an income over $40,000 in order to sign me up for a TJ maxx credit card account despite having told her that I was just a student(a dependent of my parents) at the time and did not actually have that exact income amount. Unless these employees are certified to be providing financial advice, I suggest they stay quiet and not openly encourage unqualified customers to commit financial fraud unless they want to be held 100% liable for financial fraud. Really bad experience with manager kim h. She was very very rude. I was returning a partial purchase within the return period with a receipt and she would not return it to my credit card for the cc amount spent (insisted on gift card), even though the return policy was clearly stated. She rudely told me this was "her" policy. I called their customer service number and spoke with Josh who clarified that she was incorrect, & he called the store to tell her, and it got corrected. she then completely ignored my existence, quietly told the cashier to do it, was rude to me right to the end of the transaction. I usually go to a different location and will avoid this one now. read more

Don't sleep on TJ Maxx (the term 'sleep' meaning don't underestimate)!! They have some good stuff in here on the cheap. Quality name brand clothing and AWESOME workout apparel! I love coming here to get some cute workout tops for running and/or yoga. Because...you have to be cute when you workout! You look good, you feel good. They also have some great hair care products and name brand perfumes and lotions! The checkout lane is the only thing that stresses me out kinda. This place is always crowded! In times of division like this country is going through, it sure is a let down when basic customer service is utterly and totally ignored and you are made to feel like a heel. My wife, daughter and her best friend found some great hoodies to buy and after going through the line to pay, we were greeted by a young black lady, wearing a face mask. We did not catch her name badge as she had it somewhat covered. We put our items on the counter to be rang up, watched her ring everything up, take our money and return our change/receipt/items with only a harsh, demeaning glare at us from behind her face mask. Not a "...hi, how are you doing today," not a "...did you find everything okay..." not a "...your total is $xx.x...." Nothing. Not one word. We left only imagining that because we appeared white to her that she did not like us. We are actually Native American, but we're left with a bad feeling that this poor young girl was so blindly racist against other people that she simply judged us by our skin color. TJMaxx might need to bring some of their corporate folks from down the road over to this store and educate their employees on the business of basic customer service. What a joke! read more

Cool things I've found here - a printed Nanette Lepore trench for under $200, a cashmere St. John wrap for $20 (perfect for the plane), an Abro studded leather handbag for $30. Best Tj Maxx in DFW by far! For some reason every time I go here I find something I want or need. Never disappointed when I come. They have a lot of everything. Designer to no name brands, and everything has a good price. They always have what you're looking for, I come here at least twice a week during lunch or on the way home. I've gotten plenty of if outfits from here weather it's for work or for going out I always find it here. But beware of the lunchtime rush the line tends to get very deep, I've left a few times just because of the wait. read more
