The store itself is large, the checkout line services both TJMaxx customers AND Home Goods customers and for some reason, even though there are 10+ registers...they only run 1-2 at a time. The line wraps OUT of the maze and into the actual store. It's sad because I will find something I want but opt to leave it behind instead of standing in line for a min of 30min. And why do they not offer BOPIS? You cannot shop their items online and have them ready and paid to pick up. I see major flaws and opportunities that management just not seem to care to address. There are other locations without this issue, but the store is not as big. read more

A lot of HG locations in the area tend to be a bit on the junky side but I feel like this one tries as best as they can to keep tidy despite it being heavy with foot traffic. I am in this area a lot, but I usually don't fine myself at HomeGoods. I would usually run my errands at Target and Kroger. In fact, it's been several years since I've shopped here. I was in the market for a new dog bed so I decided to pop in. Walking through the front doors, you're instantly hit with the familiar florescent glow of the ceiling lights and the playfulness of how the products are nonchalantly placed on the shelves. It's definitely an adventure navigating through each section because you're always surprised at what you find. I never knew I needed a 2ft Velvet Lion statue, but here I am holding one in my hands and it just feels right. Lol! Luckily, the pet section was right in the middle of the store so I was able to find what I needed fairly quickly. This gave me more time to peruse the rest of the store. I had forgotten that this location is also attached to TJ Maxx. From the outside of the building, it looks like two stores, but on the inside it's one giant space that separated by a walkway and a sign. Unfortunately, being two stores in one means the lines to the register are twice as long. Good thing, is that register line is clearly defined and it has random knick-knacks for you to look at/buy along the way. The pricing, in my opinion, is still a little high for a "discount" store, but you can still find great deals if you take the time to browse all the aisles. read more

Both times I was disgusted after shopping for an hour and just abandoned my shopping cart since there were only two checkers and 50 plus people in front of me in line on a Wednesday at 3 pm. I enjoy shopping at HomeGoods! When I first moved here, I didn't realize it was an extension of TJMaxx since they have two signs at two different entrances. Same store. If you enjoy bargain shopping and have some extra free time, definitely hit up this store! I love looking in each aisle for unique items at discounted prices. Oh, and their flavored coffee syrup is almost half the price than those at World Market and groceries. Just as good, too. I have purchased many items there, from towels to home decor. I love this place! It's a very pleasant shopping experience: nice customer service, nice smell, and nice merchandise. You can get so many high quality things here. Their clearance section is excellent too. I always manage to find a snack or tea on sale. I'm someone who tries to shop ethically (cruelty free, fair trade or Made in USA, recycled / eco-conscious) and I've been able to find so many little gems here! And on a regular basis! Not just opportune, occasional moments. So I'm very happy here. The one feedback I'd give corporate would be to make the store aesthetic nicer. Instead of looking like a nicer Ross, try the boutique look (like Pier 1 or something related). I think everyone would enjoy that more. read more

Since relocating to the DFW area, I have become very good friends with this HomeGoods. There is so much to like about this store. For openers compared to other HomeGoods I've been to, this one is a lot larger. Why is this a good thing? More room for inventory. And they have plenty of things to choose from; towels, bedding, bathroom accessories, lamps, rugs, artwork, vases, kitchen items, glassware, etc. Did I mention towels? The list is endless. It's rare that I go into this store and leave without purchasing something (usually towels....one can never have too many). And all of these items are great quality and priced nicely. I recommend shopping here during the weekdays (most of my stops are in the evening after leaving the office). This location is connected with a TJ MAXX and can be very busy on the weekends. Unlike some stores they seem to have a significant number of registers open so the lines move at decent pace. read more

Came here on a Sunday in August. Hardly any space to move your cart down the center aisles, making it near impossible to shop the tables. You constantly have to move your cart down an aisle temporarily to give people space to walk by. They were redoing an entire section of the store at the time to be designated for fall collections. I've worked in retail for years, and we never did floor sets during the day. That was always something reserved for early morning or after closing on Sundays. Not to mention, it was a VERY busy day. A collection of higher end makeup was randomly thrown together on a small end cap next to Register 1. I understand they keep it near the front for loss prevention, but putting it directly next to a cash register leaves you hardly any time to browse it without feeling like a jerk and holding up the line. A few good things: a wide selection of surprisingly good quality products, lots of options for seasonal decor, and a speedy/efficient checkout process. Overall, shopping here was stressful, and due to the layout of the store, I felt rushed. I had a poor experience, but I'll still be coming back because I do like the products/prices, and I need to decorate a new apartment. read more

Absolutely LOVE whenever HG is attached to a Marshalls because double the shopping! I don't think I've ever walked out of this store empty handed because there's always some cute home decor item that catches my eye. I was looking for Rae Dunn once and this employee who saw me looking at the inventory tanks asked me what I was looking for. She offered to look in the back to see if there was anything since they were in the process unboxing everything. Such a sweet gesture since I know employees are pretty "over" customers hunting for RD. Not only did she find me a set of plates, but she also found me in the store later to let me know that they found another set! I spent way too much money on that trip on a tea towel saying "cats welcome people tolerated", a pink and turquoise mermaid tail blanket, some clothes, and I don't even remember what else. read more

This particular place was recommended by a friend after a less than ideal experience at the location near nothpark. I sure am glad I listened. this locations a lot more organized and had great home decor items. I had to stop myself from completely blowing my monthly budget. my most memorable moment in the store was when I was picking out a gift for a friend and I was lugging around her gift options trying to decide among my selections when one of the staff rolled a buggie up for me without me even asking. Nice selection of items! However, we were rudely whisked out of the store by an older African American woman for being 2 min past their closing. I completely understand that closing time is closing time, but she was rudely persistent while I was quickly trying to make a final selection. Maybe a bad day? Maybe a bad attitude? No problem. Despite the fact that this place is ALWAYS crowded, their employees work hard at shaving down the time you spend in line -- in addition to the automated updates as to which cash register customers should move toward, I've seen management directing traffic to accelerate things. (Let's face it...we've all had that moment of paralysis when the robotic voice tells you, "Please proceed to register 9", and you're like...ZOMG. Ten thousand people moving backwards and forwards. 50 blinking cash registers. I'm about to get smacked with a shopping cart. So many screaming children. Where is register 9???????) Like any other HomeGoods, they have great prices, but always start on the perimeter under the red CLEARANCE signs. I've seen mini-dressers for $35, mirrors for around $20, and quilts for around $20. It also doesn't hurt that this location's connected to TJ Maxxx, which is handy for clothes, shoes, and accessories. In addition, parking is plentiful, it's convenient to three major highways, and if anything, they have too much fantastic merchandise. read more

This place gets major kudos. Besides treasure hunting at a resale shop, there is no more affordable place to buy great looking unique items. There is rarely a duplicate found, I missed out on a chaise lounge chair for my nieces bedroom and no other store in DFW had the exact same pattern. So I went for the other pattern & similar design and I'm just as happy. That's just one example of how the items here are unique, you won't find them in your neighbors house. And they're all very reasonably priced! I haven't purchased one yet, however I think their prices on rugs is awesome. Their prices on a living-room chair for $200 is exceptionally low. Wayfare.com has the same type chair on sale for $450. Walmart might *tie* in a the price category, but in originality and quality home goods takes the cake. So I obviously prefer to shop here as there is no advantage to Walmart, actually only one downside that your neighbor might have the same item. I like this Home Goods but it's not the best. Usually when I come here I'm never greeted and the employees usually look like they're exhausted or just tired of working there. Even when I checkout it seems like I'm more enthusiastic and friendly than the person who actually gets paid to be. I dread coming to this place for that reason alone otherwise, it would be a 5-star location. Selection here is hit or miss like with most big bargain stores but it's usually a hit with me and I never leave empty handed. Sure, I may have gone in looking for a suede ottoman, failed to find one, then bought a basket full of seashells and potpourri instead but hey, things happen. That being said: If you're looking for something specific in terms of furniture, you're definitely in the wrong place unless you're some sort of magical elf who can combat the soccer moms (this is Texas so maybe they're football moms?) who wait outside of this location until it opens to buy up all the cute furniture and dinnerware before you even get a chance to roll out of bed. However, if you're looking for ornate floor mirrors and miscellaneous (possibly needless) decor items like porcelain pineapples and trendy paper weights, you'll be in heaven. Ive found so many cute floor mirrors here and I'm starting to wonder if it's because the football moms are vampires so they leave them in tact. Even on a day where the rest of the store was picked over and in shambles, those good old floor mirrors never move and they're so cheap too! Overall, give this location a shot if it's the closest one to where you live and you don't really care about receiving average-exceptional customer service. If it happens to be on a day where their selection is a "miss", just run down to the Target that's in the same parking lot and you can't go wrong. read more

This is where I buy the sheets and the towels for my home. They are very inexpensive but very high quality. I bought a table and chairs for my sister's apartment and I paid under 300 dollars. The pillows and comforters and blankets in the bedding section are top top notch. My ex roommate from college brought me here two years ago and we were able to furnish her entire home. Homegood in Irving was one of my go to spots for home decor and more not anymore. Today, I stopped in to do a little shopping and return items recently purchased at another Homegoods location. Immediately, I noticed the store looked a little different because of remodeling but besides that it was a bit messy, stuff was everywhere. The line was super long like always so that wasn't a surprise but what was a surprise was the staff, they were unfriendly and some were standing behind the cashiers having conversations instead of trying to help get the line down which would have been helpful to the paying customers waiting...me being one. After waiting in line for awhile, I was able to approach the cashier to purchase and return items. Purchase was successful but return not so much since I used a Gift Card Amex, I was told that they could not reload the card... I knew that. I was advised that they could only give me store credit. This was alarming because typically when I've returned items.... which I do quite frequently since I'm furnishing my house i.e. bedroom and dining area I receive money back on my card or cash with my receipt andvi definitely had my receipt. I was told they could only give me store credit. I left Irving and went to another location and they accepted my return and gave me cash back. Yeah, I will not be visiting this location again. read more

Horrible customer service. I bought a cheese board yesterday and when I got home, I found out that the board was cracked on one side. I came today to return the product, but they said that they can't do the return because the product does not match the ISK number on the receipt. I requested for the manager and a person named Brandy came out, but she was so condescending blaming me that the SKU on the receipt does not match the product itself. I think it is so wrong to assume that their process is always right and the consumer is always wrong. The person who checked me out made the mistake and I get the blame and I don't even get to return a product that is broken. Such a horrible horrible customer service. read more
