Burlington - Art supplies??? Okay... Didn't expect that.

Alright, it has literally been years since I've been here, I assume I've forgotten some things. We…read morelooked at a few jackets and some were on the rack, and they should not have been. The zippers were broken and/ or, were not in perfect condition. Then, when looking at picture frames, a lot of them were broken. But, if my memory serves me correctly, this is why they have low prices. The store was clean and organized, I've seen some that didn't come close to this one when it comes to cleanliness. I'm sure I'll return again.

Burlington brings back memories of me being a kid trying on coats in the Midwest. Now they're more…read morethan great coats! You don't really need a coat in Texas anyway so it's a good thing Burlington has almost everything else you need for your closet or home. This location recently had it's grand opening in Glade Parks. It's clean and organized and the associates are friendly. I don't particularly like discount stores with a bunch of clothes mixed up together but I found some really fantastic deals here! Burlington had a brand of jeans I had been buying at a boutique store and although they were only about $20 cheaper and in one color it was still much more convenient to come to Burlington than go to the boutique. Besides a bunch of clothes for males and females of all ages, Burlington also has a large section of accessories and beauty products, a baby furniture section, and a large housewares and decor area. There's an aisle for pet items like dog/cat beds and oh so cute dog outfits! I found dog Halloween outfits and winter sweaters for my fluffies here and they were only $7 per outfit. I can see myself stopping in here often because it's very conveniently located. This was a good spot to open a new store.

My husband and I were in the area and stumbled upon this Dillard's, which is a "Dillard's clearance…read morecenter". The store had brand new clothes that were at least 50-60% off of the original tag. Some of the items were still more expensive than I thought it should be given the dated look and style. For example, a 2024 "Mr. And Mrs." Wine glasses were still like $10! If you gave me that for $1, I wouldn't even want it. There was a huge selection of men's, women's and children's clothing. Not so much home goods. There were some bedding, and curtains, but I did not see any kitchen gadgets or appliances. You have to have patience to go in here and dig through the racks!

Plenty of items at great discount prices, but my first experience here left me scratching my head…read more I found a dress I liked that was missing the inner slip. No big deal.... I grabbed the same dress in another size to show the cashier, just to see if they could offer a small discount. The cashier called over a manager, who quickly shut it down and said they couldn't do any further markdowns. Fair enough..... I wasn't totally sold on the dress anyway. But then it got weird. The manager told me they couldn't sell it at all because it was missing a part. I was stunned. I wasn't asking for anything wild, and I was buying other items too... I was definitely not trying to be difficult. As someone who also works in retail, the whole interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and like a strange power move. Disappointing first visit.
