It doesn't help the environment, but I do prefer to hold a book in my hands. I try to buy used! But Barnes & Noble has always been a refuge for me since I was a preteen. Tons of books, gifts, merch, coffee, seating, a great area for kids with tons of children's books and toys and games. I'll always be a fan and a customer.

Even before all of this COVID stuff this place has been amazing. Harvey has launched this place to new heights and has been friendly to all involved (He is a great Dungeon Master for D&D, especially for the little ones new to the game). The place is kept tidy, and and all is organized in an effective manner for your comic searching pleasure. In terms of stock for things other than comics, they have a selection that I see as mediocre at best at times, though this is likely due to supply and demand, especially now considering everything going on. Necessary D&D minis were sometimes hard to come across even before this. Overall, the Multiverse is a great place to stop in my experience. This was the same Bible she has read from for 20 years, so needless to say it was special. Her old cover had completely fallen off and a lot of the pages were starting to wear. We took it in to pick colors and everything and they were super helpful in picking types of covers, colors, and other options. The price we were quoted was very reasonable, imo. The Bible looks like a completely new book! We are so pleased with the quality and craftsmanship! I would highly recommend The Book Doctor!

I called to see about getting my grandson's Bible repaired. It looked like he had played a few…read moregames of basketball with it. The back was off, but the inside Bible itself was intact. The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I didn't get the name of the person that spoke to me, but she had excellent customer service skills and she used them, taking time to explain the process so very kindly. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. And, I'll be sure to pass on their info. Customer service is a lost art, but not at The Book Doctor!

When I'm visiting family in Watauga and want comics this is the place I go…read more They have a nice stock of new comics and don't seem to sell out. If something is out chances are you can find it. They don't have a large collection of back issues. They do have super cheap Star Wars Black Series figures. I feel like they could really look at online prices and inflate the prices of their figures and make more money.. but they don't. I've gotten a few figures here for retail that sold online for 40-50 bucks. It says a lot about the integrity of the owners that they aren't marking those up. Great shop! Check it out!
