I lived in Bangkok where there's a Daiso in every mall around town. It's a fun shop to browse and maybe pickup some unexpected and interesting items for very little $. This was my first time in Daiso on this side of the world and I was especially excited to show the husband all the kawaii stuff they have. I was surprised to see so many Mickey Mouse and Rilakkuma merchandises. Both are my among my favourites. In terms of quality, the items are not shabby, but the selling point is the prices. They make it easier to throw out when you're doing Spring cleaning :) I must also mention here that the cashier was very friendly. We bought a fair bit of ceramic cups and a tea pot and she took her time wrapping them all so carefully! I wish we have Daiso in Oklahoma. read more

Japanese Dollar Store. They have a wide range of products and most of them are priced $1.50 plus taxes. The only problem with this store is you end up buying things that you don't need but still end up getting :) The store is well organized, clean and there is plenty of parking available. It also seemed bigger than the Hawaii and Washington stores. As with all Daisos most everything is $1.50. They sell makeup, skincare, household, deco, stationary, kitchenware, etc. The quality is almost always 100% there. The store is HUGE tho, so beware as you'll end up racking up a bill if you're a hoarder like myself. I was so surprised to learn that Daiso has not only 2 locations in Dallas, but a whopping EIGHT. After an attempt to find something at the Carrollton location (which I thought was one of the two locations), they were sold out so I was going to go to the Frisco one, but learned that there were EIGHT (including one in Arlington near my house) so I came to the Las Colinas location on the way home and I was able to find exactly what I needed! This one is about half the size of the Carrollton location, but they still have everything you needed.. and the place was not busy at all, so you're able to shop in peace and get everything you need without much of a wait! The employees were super knowledgeable and knew exactly where what I needed to find was, so that was a plus. I'm glad that they have a location here -- I come here to eat Shake Shack or In-N-Out, so it's great to know that I don't have to travel all the way to Carrollton for Daiso now! read more

While we were in the Dallas area, we stopped at this store to check it out. We were in there for hours!!!! There is so much to look at. They had a variety of items in here. Anything from things to keep you organized, snacks, plates, bowls, beauty items, jewlery, etc. We found a cool tool that will help you roll kimbap or sushi. We purchased that! I have the bamboo sushi roller, but this looks cooler. Can't wait to try it! We were in here to get ideas on what to purchase for a Christmas gift and this store definitely had what we needed. Ah yes. Fit's better looking, more popular cousin that everyone who likes for their cheap cooking supplies, snacks, and junk to hoard if you're a hoarder. The interior is clean, and Daiso offers a little bit of everything. When I get a house one day, I'm totally going to get my household supplies such as cups from Daiso. Because everything in there is so cheap. The last time I went, I bought a sushi serving board for only $5. Way cheaper than if I had went to any other store to buy a sushi serving board that size. Daiso is a part of a huge shopping center that has stores selling food and Kinokuniya, the Japanese bookstore. Despite the size of the shopping center, you may have to park further than at a spot that's actually close to Daiso. read more

What an interesting store. We needed a close discount store. Daiso was 2 doors down so we popped in. I'm not sure what to say other than... Japanese discount store. The store was super bright and clean. A wide variety of things, from A to Z. We were after some plastic containers. Glenda walked the aisles for over an hour, just looking. Everything I looked at was marked in Japanese currency, with charts to convert prices to dollars. Kinda cool! Anyway, we were in a hurry, so I want to go back and try some of the Japanese munchies. I LOVE Daiso and was so thrilled when they opened in Dallas. For a while everything went ok. For the last year, Daiso has failed to replenish inventory. The store is always out of stock on 75% of the merchandise. This has been going on at this location since it opened. Last week I went to the store on Market St in Downtown San Francisco and they were bursting at the seams with inventory. I bought all the items I had been looking for for over a year in Dallas. The workers literally had no where to store inventory, there was so much. It was stacked in the aisles as they tried to cram everything on shelves. This made it very clear that the problems with Daiso in Texas is transport/warehousing. This store would be 10x more profitable if they could get stock. Figure it out, Daiso! read more

Now that I've been to other locations, it's ok but I've found that they have a lot of the same thing year round (I don't live in the DFW area so only go a couple times a year). Cute place with a lot of cute stuff, but not always the highest quality. I understand though as it's kind of like the dollar / discount store for Japan. Not all things are a dollar, but most things are $1.50 with some exceptions. I bought some cheap house slippers here and they were pretty comfy and cute. The variety of pocky and Japanese candy (little bubblegum balls and hi chew are some of my favs) also draws me here. They have the special matcha green tea flavored pocky and at one point had Brazilian orange pocky. I hope they bring back the orange pocky. It's harder to find. I bought some toothpick floss here, but that wasn't so sturdy. Unfortunately, I had to throw it out, but figured I take a chance since it was pretty cheap. This also looks like a decent place to get some cute Japanese bowls, plates, chopsticks etc if you are throwing a party. Overall, this is a cute place to browse around in. I love coming here, I wish I had a little more disposable income. Because I would be here all the time. The items that they have here are affordable, there about the quality that you're going to expect with most items being under five dollars. The store is always very clean, and very organized. It is well-stocked with pretty much everything that they offer. And you can almost always find some discounted candy towards the front since they keep the stock rotated. The stuff is usually pretty friendly, I haven't had any bad experiences here, I will definitely continue to keep going here in the future. read more

Remember when I went to their first store (the first one in Carrollton) a lot of the shelves is empty, and it looked messy. This one definitely change my impression. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this Daiso store was very similar to those in Japan. However , just a little smaller, but that's somewhat expected. This is a great store to find knick knacks for things around your house. The items that you find here are of average quality or less, however, these items cost no more than three bucks a piece. The reason that I like d DAISO is because it has a great assortment of boxes, gift bags, and items for your laundry room. Yes I use DAISO to buy laundry room items such as hampers, laundry baskets, laundry nets to wash your delicates, & laundry clips that you can hang your clothes dry. The prices here are very competitive in that department. They've also got a ton of great Japanese snacks. And don't worry, they are made in Japan so they are authentic. I've also seen them plenty of times in Tokyo myself. The store is very well lit, clean, and organized. I would definitely return for my household needs. read more

After shopping at this store in LA, Seattle, and Korea, this is a welcome addition. There's so many different things to buy. Need a head squeegee, you got it! Need tomato candy, you got it!
