We purchased a lot of items from different booths. Noticed items missing when we got home. Immediately called up there. They told us they forgot to bag items. They verbally confirmed we paid for those items. When we returned to pick up our items they said we had to pay again! We have the receipt. They are refusing to acknowledge they agreed that we paid for items. We requested video evidence from their cameras proving the clerk didn't handle those items. They refused to prove their case. The workers are extremely rude. I witnessed the guy behind the counter make fun of another customer for asking for the price of an item as they did not see the price tag and the tag did not have a dollar sign. The worker sarcastically answered the question and then made fun of her with his coworker saying it took a lot of neurons in his brain to answer her and that she should have looked instead of asking. They continued on laughing at her and talking about her while she was standing there. Very disappointing to see such rude behavior when someone asked an innocent question. Do better. read more

We've been twice now. Both times (two weeks apart) we found things we wanted at mostly really good prices. My prize find was a 1930's vaseline glass juicer. I've used it twice now, and love it! Or was it three times??? There really is something for everyone here, They even have a basement and the military surplus stuff is down there. It's kind of weird down there though with the floor boards above your head creaking as folks walk overhead. If you're in the area, and have some time, it's worth a browse. read more

As if one Downtown Mini Mall was not enough, enter Downtown Mini Mall II. I can't quit put my finger on it, but the "goods" at Downtown Mini Mall II seemed to be in worse shape than the goods at Downtown Mini Mall (I). That does not mean it was not still fun to wander around, and it's definitely worth a stop if you are on the square. Unlike Downtown Mini Mall (I) which has an upstairs (more like a loft), Downtown Mini Mall II has a basement. I never went down as the PA was blaring that the store was closing. If you want to wander either of these stores properly, you'll need at least an hour (each). If you are looking for something odd or unusual, you have come to the right place. This place is hilarious. I dunno if you'd actually ever buy anything here, because it's either junk or overpriced junk, but it's fun to wander through the aisles. It would be a great stop for a Halloween costume or any other theme party (especially military theme...part of the store is practically an Army-Navy surplus). It's easy to spend an hour wandering around and laughing at weird things or things that you once had as a kid. Great spot for a date, to be honest, as it's FULL of conversation starters. Probably not a first date, though, unless you want to project the "our next date will be bingo at the local nursing home" vibe. read more

We had items waiting at the front to be purchased and asked to open a case (14 mins before closing) to add to our purchases but they refused to open a case because it was within 15 minutes until close. No where was this odd rule posted! We weren't looking, we were buying, but that didn't matter. They lost $100 in purchases and three customers because they were too lazy to open a display case 12 feet away. Will never be back. It apparently becomes a museum not a store @15 till close. read more

a minute ago Honestly when me and my friends went in there to check it out it we were excited. Until one of the workers told us to put our belongings in the front and hey yeah I understand they are afraid someone might steal. But their system of this is TERRIBLE they just told to put it in the front on a table that's literally next to the door where ANYONE could just grab it?!?!? And when I asked her if they had a system of keeping track of other people things or put it at least under the counter she simply said no we dont really do that:/. Like WHAT? excuse me you expect me to just trust that people won't walk out the door when no one is paying attenton with someone's purse or shopping bags??? Complete BS. Owners do their best to scam you out of your money. Was charged over DOUBLE the price of an (incomplete!!!) item, and only found out after conducting further research. We called back to see about returning or steps to take, but were answered by an incredibly snarky and immature worker who was entirely unwilling to refer us to his bosses and kept interrupting every sentence. Buyers, beware. I am so disappointed that a place with so much history and in the best real estate in town is out to overcharge any customer. read more

My wife and I have shopped here before in pre-covid times and found interesting items. Sadly, when we went in this time we were turned away. My wife can't tolerate masks (the restriction over her face and rebreathing the hot air from a mask induces rather nasty panic attacks, possibly induced from multiple cancer surgeries) and we wear face shields. The young man at the desk was very friendly and apologetic, but said company policy was to only allow customers in with masks. We left and found other stores in the area with no such restrictions. Hopefully we can return after the requirement for masks is lifted. I'm sure it's still a nice place if you can mask up, but if not it's best to find other stores. read more

Downtown Mini Mall II is pretty much the same as the Mini Mall I. Except they just have different junk, but less of it. I could go into details about what they have, but it would read the same as my first review. And instead of having an upstairs, they have a downstairs. Best part of the whole experience, however, was finding an Olympia DeLuxe typewriter in perfect condition with a brush, a key for the case, the case of course and it types in script font. Mine for the effing taking and I took it! It set me back more than I really wanted to pay and I probably got ripped off, but that's okay because when you want something, you want it. And I didn't hide the fact that I wanted that baby at all. So if you're interested in looking at more junk and collectibles, head on over to the Mini Mall II after you've had your fun at Mini Mall I like me and the husband did. read more

Poor selection, smelly in a way that I think some of the books had bacteria of some sort. Couldn't add those to my collection even if they had something...which they don't. Made me leave my small plastic shopping bag upfront or I couldn't come in. On my way out it was just sitting on a table no one near it right next to the door... Nothing good to find and treated like a criminal on my way in... Down the street the mini mall 1 I walked all around with my bag and no one made an issue about it. read more

This place is awesome! my daughter and I worked our way though as much of the mall as we could, its so large we barely made a dent but I found a wonderful vase as a gift for my wife that I thought was under priced but they honored it, I saw many wonderful items I would have loved to have but when you're on vacation you can only carry so much.. Prior to leaving I notice there was a whole 2nd floor we couldn't get too.. If you're wanting to look for that obscure awesome item I have no doubt this is the place.. Oh did I say how friendly there were? Made us feel completely at home and welcome. We visit many similar stores and frankly if I lived in Denton this would be my go to place, I highly recommend this store. read more

Mini Mall 2, what a turn around lots of new vendors in there. You will be really surprised at what you will find in there. Everything from household to old stuff. You can spend hours in there if you like. They have added furniture down stairs on one side and military stuff on the other. The staff are very interesting never a dull moment. Good pricing.. too... There are 2 booths that I have to say are my favorite! The booth that is Hot Pink & Black... is ADORABLE...it's called Envy Fashions & Can I tell you.. I think I am envied daily.. I dont even want to tell my freinds about it b/c I want all the sales for myself! This is the place to go if you love SEXY SHOES & THIS boutique has PURSES GALORE! Gorgeous items, jewelry, pretty dresses, all sizes and styles of jeans, women tops for everyday wear to hitting the town! PLUS they have some cool trends for the guys as well!!! There are plenty of items to choose from YOU WILL DEF LOVE something in here... AND VERY LOW PRICES!! ENVY Fashions located on the very 1st aisle to the left when you walk in... mid-way down!! I also like this other booth on the it does not have a name but is close to the front at opposite end. This seller has many shoes, all sizes too.. tops and coats too... Thanks to the Mini Mall, I have the most decked out apartment with awesome, weird, vintage decor and conversation-starting 'things'. I've known very few people who have walked away without a purchase of some sort. You want LPs or 78s? You'll find them, cheap. You're looking for old postcards or photographs, ancient medicine bottles, globes, magazines, vintage clothes and shoes? It's all there. I mean, who wouldn't want to walk into the place when the outside window display contains every weapon one would need during the zombie-apocalypse? Swords, bows and arrows, viking hats, guns, bullet vests, num-chucks, and other weapons I cannot even name. They do not advertise themselves as an upscale consignment store, and that's the attitude they have. The prices, from my experience, are perfect. I would suggest scoping the entire place out before making a purchase, they happen to have many of the same items throughout the store that when you pick up, seems completely unique but is way overpriced. I would suggest to go there if you're looking for props for a scene, have friends in town who are entertained by junk stores, or are just bored. The one downside is that they are never open on Sunday and close relatively early on the weeknights. So if you have the pleasure of passing by during the week or on Saturday, don't deny that evil pumpkin staring at you from the window. Go on in. read more

We find something every time we come! You can see the hard work and care put forth in many a booth. Some booths cater to the pickers out there, others display masterfully. You usually don't see these kind of places unless you are in big cities. Prices span the spectrum and merchandise does too. There is always something for any taste, budget, decor. It is a decorator's, collector's, vintage lover's, reseller's, artist's, hand-crafter's, do-it-yourselfer's, styler's, upcycler's dream! I kind of like the Mini Malls. Some of the things are yes, overpriced. My daughter shops at MiniMall a lot, and finds a lot of funky clothes that college students like so much at very reasonable prices. She and her friends go there at least once a week. i found a antique cigarette case that i had wanted for years . The workers who helped me were totally clueless

Purchased a record player/radio/cassette combo with a tag stating that the record player had "Never been used" but that is apparently code for "it doesn't work". Called to try and reasonably resolve this issue at which time "Nina" told me that there are signs everywhere stating that there are no refunds and no returns "for that specific reason" (so they can deliberately sell broken stuff and refuse to make it right?). Further, she refused to take my name and number because the owner would NOT call me back. Adding to the insult, she told me that she would not be able to tell who the vendor was because "things get picked up and moved around" (a record player, really?) AND she said she would not leave the counter anyway to allow me to show her where it was to identify the booth/vendor. We eventually hung up after she repeatedly insulted me. My wife then called and was treated better and encouraged to bring the item in. So, I did. Turns out "Nina" is at the Downtown Mini Mall II and my purchase was at the regular Downtown Mini Mall. Another very nice person (at mall #1) told me that the vendor had indeed been told the item was not in working order but he insisted you "just have to do it a certain way". After I left Mall #1, I called back to speak to Nina and try to apologize for how our call went but she told me, "I don't have time for this. Thanks for sharing." and then she hung up on me. Appalling in every way. I am hopeful that the vendor will do the right thing but my hope is dangling by a thread. Very, very disappointed that people will treat each other this way. read more
