This place is an absolute staple in Denton. I've been coming here for years and I don't think I've ever not found something that I just couldn't live without. A must-do when coming to Denton!

Such an eclectic shop! Denton original!~

If you are looking for a unique gift look no further than Sleeping Lizards. Locally owned and operated, you just can't go wrong with this Denton gem. Their store selection varies and offers everything from local t-shirts to jewelry to candles/incense to local art. The Lizard ladies are so personable and helpful. It's hard not to want to spend hours perusing the store. I think the jewelry options have always been my fav. I always seem to get compliments when I wear a Sleeping Lizards piece. Their prices are very reasonable so you can find something for almost any budget. If you tell them it's a gift for someone, they will wrap it up with a classic plastic Sleeping Lizard...they even let you pick out your fav lizard!! You never know quite what treasure you will find, so stop by often!! #supportlocal

$8 unique necklace. Great place for unique items.

I've been shopping in this store for years - even before they moved into the new location. It's a wack-a-do store with something in every corner they pride themselves with supplying unique finds. It's a great little shop for gifts and whatnots. Good range of prices for every budget. Lots of everything from clothing, jewelry, furniture, kitchen items and more.

And you create a space that honors the building and updating it with warm wood and fixtures, you're doing it right in my opinion. I loved the selections offered here and so did my daughters and granddaughter. Yes, I bought books here and my granddaughter was thrilled. There's a dedicated children's area with nice seating for them. There was a touch of magic there. Kids were happy and couldn't wait to get to the next book. That is what a book store is supposed to be about. I met the owners and both are genuinely nice and they care about their customers and their business. Both are very knowledgeable and more than happy to help in any way. If you're in Denton, you need to drop in and browse around - I bet you walk out with a great book!

Such is Patchouli Joe's Books & Indulgences. This is one of the most charming bookstores you will encounter. They have books for everyone, but I was taken back with the adorable children's sections I have seen in a bookstore. This Indie Bookstore really has a nice vibe to it. Part of that comes from the helpful people who work here, part of it from the other customers in the store. Altogether, everyone seemed to be relaxed and enjoying each other's company and the coffee/tea that they provide for their guests here. Pro Tips: 1) sign up for the rewards program 2) plan to spend a little time here because you will love it here 3) enjoy some of the delicious coffee!

This shop couldn't be more adorable if it tried!…read more I give it 5 stars for being a local small business and for promoting other local businesses. That's awesome and I can get behind that. The soap is $9 for 5 ounces, except the sea salt soaps which are $11. I was told if we bought 3, we get a special deal- $22 I think. We bought one to try out and see how long it lasts, handmade soap is the kind of thing we buy on vacations, so I was excited to try it. We purchased the lemongrass shea butter and it's nice, if not a little rough, and has a lovely, refreshing fragrance. This place isn't cheap for a regular, weekly shopping trip, but everything in this store would make an amazing gift!!! I was amazed at the array of products- jewelry, kitchenware, candles, handmade bags, notebooks, etc. My favorites that I filed away for future gifts were the beautiful bookmarks and the gemstone nightlights. Just gorgeous! My mom and mother in law would LOVE it here! At the time we stopped in, a Saturday mid afternoon, we were the only customers. There was an event going on near the square, so I'm sure that may have been part of the reason. It may also be because they are slightly hidden at the corner of their parking lot, next to a chiropractors office off Elm and Congress. They are the next lot over from where The Cupboard was and the next street over from Seven Mile Café for reference. They are open 10-6pm on weekdays, 10-4pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. The employee was friendly and let us know more about the business. Everything in the store is either made by them or a local business owner. I love places with this kind of business practice and though it's not a cheap gift shop, the pricing definitely matches the quality of the products. They have a loyalty program- you get a point for every product you purchase. Once you get 10 points, you get a free soap! I think this is a must stop if you need a gift for a birthday, anniversary or celebration!

I don't know if I have ever purchased shortcut soaps, but I can tell you these soaps are wonderfully nicer than any others I have tried. Soft on the skin , scents are restrained, not too subtle and not overpowering. Goldilocks would be a fan, they are just right. I will be going back for more, now that I have tried lavender lulu, I am really glad they have a deal on 3 bars!

The food was delicious! Everyone commented on the scones - they were a crowd pleaser! But all the food, and the service was truly thoughtful, memorable, and just a delightful experience. I dreamed of holding a release party where people felt like it was an experience and not just a book signing, and that dream came true this day! This tearoom and the owners made this day more than special to me, they made it memorable.
