I came here specifically for vinyl and explore the shop for a good 30-40 minutes. It's similar to a half price books in the offerings. I found the shop to offer a variety of vinyl from artists to genres which caters to different folks. Some of the prices were pretty fair in the sense of them receiving profit off some of the vinyl, some not so much. I found a Stevie Wonder vinyl for $20 and I'm not sure on the authenticity so my friend did ask on my behalf. The front desk was not very helpful and pretty rude about it. And even told me we may or may not give you a refund you know it truly depends. This didn't make me quite confident in purchasing the vinyl, but I did anyway. A Stevie Wonder vinyl for $20 is just unheard of and it sounds like I got a bootleg but I also can't verify that 100% to have a say. I did snag an old reggae vinyl for five dollars which was a blind buy. I don't know how much the books go for but quite interested if I come back on if they are retail or discounted. I can see how the store would go well especially in a college town and I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the Denton Square area to stop by and walk around and see what gems you're able to find!

Dallas has Half Price Books, and Denton's equivalent is the Recycled Books Records store. And it's a must visit place when you're in Denton! This shop has been in Denton for many years, more years than I can remember. The building is one of my favorites on the square. It's the old Opera House. I wish I could have visited the Opera here in its hay day. But today, I walked through the hushes of a memory of the once beautiful interior of his Opera house, and all I see are books and records. Their selection of books and records are amazing, and I spent time combing through the children's area. Yes, I bought lots of books today.

I came here with a friend during the summer and enjoyed looking through their selection of books. We checked the downstairs section and the kids section as well which is extensive. I ended up finding a couple of Christian books for a reasonable price and picked a plant sticker from the register. The lady at the register was friendly. Recycled Books is in a prime location in the Denton square with a couple side spots for parking available.

This is one of the best used bookstores I've ever visited. Multiple stories of stories, non-fiction, art books, music, movies, and more. Comparable to the Half Price Books on Northwest Highway or Los Angeles' The Last Bookstore in size, this place is awesome. They also host amazing events. I was fortunate to get to see Grady Hendrix twice at this store. If you're in Denton, definitely stop in. If you're not in Denton, why not drive over and enjoy a nice day on the square complete with a visit to this fantastic shop.

It had been a number of years ... ok I'll have to admit about 10-15 years since I had found myself in this area with enough time to give a proper walk thru of Recycled Books. We found ourselves with a Friday off, with a kiddo on break, so we made a day of coming back over here to explore. My kiddo loved that there was so many corners and places to explore to find more books. If I didn't have my kiddo we could have easily spent an hour or so just trying to look at everything. We were able to find a few things to bring home during our visit. I had decided to bring in my old paperback wish list, a list of books that I had made from a book Grady Hendrix put out about old books from around the 60's-80's ... Staff was friendly and willing to help, by showing me to the sections that the books likely would be in if they have them, but they let me know they didn't have any sort of computer system to be able to look up stock to see if they had any of them. So, my one tip would be to see if they could invest in something like that, possibly tied to their intake at the buy counter.

I love this place! I've recently just started going here after needing something new to read. This place is probably the coolest place I've been to in Texas so far. Not only does it cater to the hardcore scene in records available (the merch for the bookstore is amazing) - it's also just genuinely an amazing place to purchase records/books. The books that are available there are beyond cool and are at such a fantastic price. The manga that's there is pretty good and the comics available are AMAZING. I don't think I have ever found such a cool selection in my life. Also, the workers are so sweet and very nice people to talk with. (If you're homesick and lonely like me - they will listen to you talk because they're sweethearts). I will try not spoil it for you but just walk around the place as much as you can. The different areas for book genres was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen and is definitely worth a visit just because of that. Please support local and go here!! This place is incredible and I will miss it so much when I move back home.

This place is PACKED with everything from books to records to toys to bags and stickers! No matter who you're shopping for, you'll be able to find something for them. The guys at the checkout were friendly and were quick to point me in the direction of things. If you buy a tote bag from them you'll get 10% off each time you bring it in to shop in the future! :) The bathroom was ...okay...but there's a free bathroom across the street at the courthouse haha

This bookstore felt magical. It brought back all of my nostalgic small town feelings from living in Indiana. They had so many cool things to get lost and lose time with. Records, Books, trinkets, toys... I felt like a kid in a candy store. Definitely worth checking out when in the area

I have a lot of DVD's that I want to sell. I have a tote and a box both full of DVD's. And all of them are in really good condition. Would your store be wiling to buy them from me and if so can you tell me how does the selling process work?

You can bring them in to their sell counter and they will look them over and give you a quote - just like Half Price Books.

What do you do with books that you can't sell? Do you donate them?

They are unsafe and you are not in good hands here at all!!! Luisa Feliz, who was supposedly some kind of advocate wouldn't even look at the journal entries I can't in with. She scoffed at them, said "That's all in the past" as of people go in for help for things that haven't happened yet or something. She wouldn't even look at the stack of journal entries, photos and proof of the stalking and harassment before saying that I didn't have enough proof to get a protective order. Then checked out the videos my abuser posts about things he witnesses me doing while stalking me and hacking into my accounts and laughed about how creepy it was. Didn't take the serious threat to my safety seriously at all. A couple months after this I was stalked, harassed and poisoned at work and had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance all because she didn't take the safety and welfare of her clients seriously enough to help when I was brave enough to go ask for it. Caitlin, I think is her name, who is supposedly a therapist there that leads group therapy at the Corinth location. All she ever did was repeat what the people in group said. When I went in again for their last chance to help me Luisa and Caitlin went into the office with me to talk. I explained getting sent to the hospital, I explained that I had about 2 dozen hospital visits on record for symptoms that were the same as the ones I experienced when rushed to the hospital and they still said I didn't have enough to get any real legal help. Then Caitlin told me that I needed to go back to group to talk to people who would believe me... I've filled complaints with the local PD, sheriff and DA and will be filing complaints with any licensing board for these two women as they do not seem like they care about what happens to women or their jobs and really don't seem to have any real training.
