Ive been to a different Dais9, but this is my first time at this location in Carrolton. There was no service. Just make sure you read the signs so you can figure out pricing. If there is no price tag, the item might be $2.25. I found and purchased a miniature pink Santa that has "Merry Chistmas" engraved. Proper Spelling is not required. Either that or the engraver's R was not working on 2nd words. Hehe Not sure id go back. Items seem overpriced for what they are. I bought a fairly cool build-ir-yourself wooden advent calendar. I'm looking forward to putting it together. read more

This was my first visit to this location. The store's layout is similar to the one I visit in Arlington, making it easy to navigate. However, I noticed this location offers a larger selection of items. Like other Daiso stores, it was well organized and fully stocked before opening, which is something I always appreciate. read more

Horrible cheap products. We got some squish toys and and it came damaged. The missing parts are not even in the package. It would have been forgivable if we could exchange it however the store has a strict policy that's printed on their receipt "No Returns or Exchanges". So BEWARE when you buy from Daiso. read more

So much fun! Lots of useful things to get you organized, clean, and productive! Small selection on dried food items along with a nice selection of cooled beverages, chips, and ramen. Not a lot of candy, but this is the store for affordable organizational supplies. Bins, containers, beauty, office and all kinds of organizing options. Also cute stationary/paper goods things too. Takes a minute figure the yen to dollar translation, but they have charts outlining it all over so it's easy to find. Service/check out was kind and they have a fancy self checkout area too. This place has almost everything you may need if you love Japanese products! I've been to Japan twice and my brother lived there for five years and we are obsessed with so many of their products that just don't compare to the Americans versions (q-tips, sponges, cleaning supplies). They also have a great assortment of the best Japanese candies, foods & snacks, and Drinks that I found and fell in love with in Japan. I love taking people from out of town here too to showcase the area and they love it! read more

This is smaller Daiso compared to a few I've visited in Hawaii and Texas. The selection of items in this location is minimal. Prices are great and are comparable to other Daiso. The doors are boarded up so I assume they had issues with their door. There is a sign saying they are open so don't hesitate to go in. read more

Though I am a bigger fan of Daiso Korea, I must admit that Daiso Japan has its fair share of great discounted goods and knick-knacks. I was actually so shocked to see that there was a Daiso in Dallas, as I thought they only had locations in Los Angeles. Anywho... I was able to find this AMAZING massage stick for only $1.75, and it is better than the electric massage machines that they sell for $50+... It really feels like a deep tissue massage and it was such a great find. I took it back home with me to ATL and it was a HOT response, that I had to buy them in bulks and gift them. This Daiso is one of the bigger ones in the DFW area, but if you're dining at that plaza, you're almost guaranteed a wait... so you might as well kill some time here or Miniso. And it's probably because they're a discount store, but they don't take Apple Pay or AMEX -- so come prepared for that! read more

I've visited this location multiple times, and I will say that I've enjoyed this location the most in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It reminds me of the Daiso I visited in Japan; it's not the same size, but the prices are about the same. Would I return? YES. The prices are great here. It is your typical 'dollar store' with a lot more variety. You can get quality items for cheap here, which is the best. The downfall? You can overspend here without knowing it, so make sure you check your cart prior to checking out. Daiso Japan is located in a great spot. When we visit, we also visit H-Mart and restaurants nearby. It's easy to get to and definitely worth your time. Overall, I would always visit this Daiso Japan because they have almost everything for a cheaper price. The only thing I wouldn't purchase here would be the snacks because I tend to go across the interstate to purchase snacks and food from H-Mart. Other than that, it is a great place to shop at. read more

Visiting Dallas, and hitting up the lil Asian town/strip center. My wife and I decided to go to Daiso. It is like a Japanese Dollar General/Store. It was my first time, so it was a treat. It was a drive especially from Austin. However, we were in Dallas for another reason, but visiting this place - it was quiet exciting. They offer a lot of Knick knacks for an average price of $1.50 - $5.00. I highly recommend it if you were in Carlton or get a chance to go. However, fair warning - try not to get too carried away, cause that $1.50 item adds up and before you know it, you're spending $60 on little cute knick knacks - LOL! read more

Alright, as a Japanese person, I'm a sucker for Daiso. For just $1.50, you can get surprisingly decent quality products! I got some Japanese rice seasoning and bread, along with some household/kitchen items. Unfortunately when I visited, their internet service or something went down, and they could only take cash. Thankfully, I had enough on me, but I ended up buying (much) more than I expected, so I can see how this could have been a bigger inconvenience for some of the other customers. It may not look like a huge store from the outside, but let me assure you, there are plenty of things to buy! These items are Japanese quality, making them have a great quality to cost ratio. There's also some Japanese/Asian snacks that are harder to find here, so if you're looking for some rarer sweets, be sure to check it out here! It's the best $1.00-$1.50 store on the planet and Carrollton has one! Ok so some of the items there that are bigger and better can go above $1.50 but they're still worth it. This is like the galore of cool stuff that is practical and useful, too. They originated from Japan but their stuff is not all made there. To name a few things off the top of my head that they carry - they have empty travel bottles (to fill with your own stuff), brushes, toothbrushes, brooms, buckets, scarfs, batteries, Asian snacks, plasticware, stools, chairs, kitchen utensils, slippers, reusable bags, pens, hairpins, clips, markers, notepads, notebooks, stickers, toys, Asian beverages, makeup, plates .. the list goes on and on .. like forever! Just get in here and figure things out for yourself cuz I can just about guarantee you will leave here with something that you needed!! Think of it like Costco but for more practical household items. Oh and you won't leave here with a tab of $200 that you didn't mean to spend!! Parking is plentiful but somehow still hard to find on the weekends. This is due to the entire plaza being a boom town of Asians getting all of their errands and socializing done in one place! Be patient and you'll be fine. I loved Daiso Japan the moment I set foot in the store. This Japanese Dollar Store has a nice selection of products, especially in the arts and crafts section. The negative aspect of Daiso is that what you see today, you might not see tomorrow, or ever again. For the price, the quality is also very good. read more

I was so thrilled to learn that Daiso opened in Dallas (Carrollton) that I made sure it was on my must do list on my next Dallas trip. What do you know? I found a reason to go and got to visit during their grand opening month. Nerd alert! Shiny and new, packed to the rim, far better than locations I've been to along the west coast. I just LOVE these 100 Yen Tokyo equivalent (okay 150+ Yen...whateva!) stores! Loads of imported and INTERESTING stuff on the cheap. I rarely go in search of a particular item(s), but never fail leave with an overflowing bag of assorted goods: Wasabi KitKat (surprisingly horod), adorbs light pink & blue wig (I'll find a reason to where it), bright blue lipstick (to go with the wig of course), a shower stool (a Japanese staple; and it makes shaving much easier), and so on... If you've never been to dollar stores in Japan - or have and looking for something almost as cool stateside - you should check out Daiso! So excited to finally see a Daiso hit Texas and in Dallas of all places! It's a Japanese dollar store, well $1.50 to be exact, but some things are more. They have a lot more cute stuff than your next door Dollar Tree. They have anything from decor, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, socks, ties, makeup, skincare, nail polish, school supplies, snacks. I wanted to buy a lot, but I had to control myself. It's good for you to buy stuff here if you just move into an apt or college dorm and you want some cute stuff but cheap. It was about a 20 min wait outside and then a 15 min wait to check out but there's so much to see inside that it doesn't seem so bad. Will make another trip in the near future. read more

Daiso has all the stuff you didn't know you needed! With most of the items priced at $1.50. Tons of different storage type items and boxes to organize your home or apartment. Pocky galore in a variety of flavors. Different asian snacks and noodles and what not. Many different home items as well.. sushi plates, big soup bowls and the big soup spoons you would see at Pho restaurants. I grabbed a sushi mat, some seaweed paper and sushi rice for some @ home sushi making. There are a few different locations throughout dallas so if you happen to be in the area of one i think it's worth a stop in! read more

A very cool Japanese Dollar store. In Japan you would see these as a 100 Yen store. I love coming here to find all of the cool Japanese household and odd nicknacks that I didn't know I needed. Each time I go in spend at least $20 on random cool things that I find. This time around I bought a mini broom from my daughter ($1.50). Bought a book on origami and the origami paper. Grabbed a ton of Pocky Sticks and other various random times I didn't need. Also the service here is very great. Everyone here is willing to help you or tell you about a deal that you didn't know about. Overall whenever I'm in the area I always make sure that I stop by to find the next cool Japanese treat. read more

When I was first told about Daiso as being the ultimate Japanese goods junkie's paradise, the first words the came to my head were "Hello Kitty." Ignorant, I knowwww! Upon walking into the clean, sleek white floor store I surprised to find NO Hello Kitty EXCEPT packets of marshmallows and cartons of hot chocolate mix. I have to admit I was a little bummed and my 1 star deduction just MIGHT have been because of that :P Probably not fair but I had high hopes of revamping everything I had with Sanrio haha. Truth be told, I missed Hello Kitty for maybe about five minutes! There was SO much more to be excited about. Screw Container Store, Dollar Tree, and CVS! Seriously! Home organization stuff to the max and plenty of cheap and cute goodies to fill your drawers with. This is definitely Asian beauty products galore, too! (I've heard that people buy those charcoal masks from here.) Also if you're someone starting out and need adorbs kitchen stuff, THIS is your place. Nothing is over 3 bucks. BUT the truth behind my 1 star deduction was the fact that I noticed A LOT of the stuff was made in China :( I think the signs that say "Japanese quality" are probably still true, but I thought it implied that things would be made there, too. I heard this was a Japanese dollar store from my sister while we were driving around during our Texas trip. Therefore, we decided to check it out. The store location is surrounding a lot of restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores which is great for shopping and eating. I thought the store was really big, but could use more shelves and products since it looked a little empty inside. There are definitely cheap Japanese products for generally $1.50 to $5. The workers were friendly at the front register. Overall, it was a nice experience, I am a fan of this store and wish we had one back home in Kansas City. read more

The only Daisos I had been to prior to this were in Tokyo, so it was interesting to see a stateside location. It was busy on a weekend (parking is challenging in this strip center!) but the spacious, bright and clean shop had plenty of room for everyone to roam. Daiso stocks lots of housewares, storage, craft supplies (washi tape!), not to mention snacks galore from brands like Glico, Calbee, Morinaga and more, and a fridge full of soft drinks (if you want ramune, you got it!) Most everything is $1.50; I think the highest price I saw on anything was $3. The only thing I can knock this place for is the girl who checked me out; she seemed annoyed by my presence and positively pissed to be there. Other staff didn't seem to be interacting with their patrons in the same way so not sure what the deal was... Overall though, I would definitely make a stop at Daiso next time I'm in town, and I hope they will come to my hometown as well! read more

Daiso - What?!? YES!! - Department Stores Near Me - Carrollton, Texas

LOVE THIS PLACE! I wish they would open more Daiso locations in Texas as this place is truly amazing. They always have a great selection of everything you could wish for - from cosmetics, to stationary, and even home goods. Unlike traditional dollar stores, the prices here typically range from $1.50 to $5, with a few specialty items running a bit higher than that (the most expensive thing that I've seen here was a teddy bear plush for $12). With that being said, the quality of the products here make everything a bargain. While typical dollar stores have things made of cheap plastic in blinding neon colors, Daiso actually has a lot of cute and functional goods that are made with decent materials for the price. I have bought dish-ware from here that has held up through many cycles through the dish washer and still look good as new. My favorite things to buy here are the stationary items, as they always have a good variety. They have a whole animal themed line of supplies called "Animal Party" which includes things like cute washi tapes, letter sets, and note pads, all for $1.50 each! The washi tapes are a STEAL considering the price. At other craft stores, one roll of washi tape usually goes for $3-$5 and the designs are not nearly as cute as the ones here. The snacks here are also great, especially the mini Tokyo Ramen and the various Japanese candies. I particularly love how they change out their merchandise seasonally. For instance, they always have decor for each holiday, and even sell little Santa costumes for Christmas. Everything has been well-stocked when I've come here and well organized. The only caveat is that they don't accept card unless you spend a certain amount, but I haven't run into that problem yet as it's difficult to come here and only leave with one or two items. read more
