Whenever I go, there's a good chance I'll find exactly what I'm looking for and an even better chance of serendipitously stumbling upon something that I didn't know I needed. They have a wide selection of seasonal merchandise throughout the year with the holidays being their specialty. Be sure to shop extra early for Christmas decor. Zealous shoppers will have the place ravaged and cleaned out well before the "Happy Fall Y'all" signs have hit other stores' shelves. The Lewisville location is not as well kept as some of the other ones in the area. Plus, the lines are consistently long and slow moving to reach gruff employees at the registers. Evidently, that doesn't deter customers since they have outlived Joann's across the parking lot and continue to thrive with a Michael's a couple doors down. More impressively, they've managed to do it despite the fact that they're closed on Sundays. As a mecca for all things arts and crafts related, they take full advantage by charging top dollar for their goods. I've been going to this location for about 5 years now and they have been so sweet, friendly, helpful. There was a time I brought in my son and he got upset and one of the managers cheered him up and gave him a sticker. This location is clean, they keep on top of their products and the staff is kind. I could spend hours upon hours in Hobby Lobby! For anyone who enjoys crafts, this is your store. They run awesome sales as well as coupons on their app. And cheaper than other craft stores! This year, my husband and I made Christmas decorations and I was able to purchase so much of what we needed here at HL. I returned to buy fun and unique ornaments for our Christmas tree. THIS store is great. I've only ever had one issue with a cashier who didn't know what was on sale. I allowed her to charge me full price. When I came in the next day, the sign was up in that section and she charged me the correct price. She remembered me but didn't acknowledge the day before. Anyway this was the only time this ever happened at this store. It is very well stocked, they keep up with their stock and many times I find items here that aren't available at my local store. I just shopped so much for a lot of DIY wedding decor!!! This place is so well organized and I found every bring I needed and more! The have the best sales too! I got to the register with a 40% off one item coupon and the lady helped me to use it on something to get the best price because a lot of the items were already on sale... A great variety of items - for parties, gifts, home decor and much more. It's gigantic from inside with things you can't imagine. Very less staff on the floor - so if you have any questions, expect a long walk all the way down to the checkouts. Pricing is pretty affordable for the kind of variety you get. While they have a lot of gift articles, surprising thing is that they don't have any facility of gift packing or even wrapping. Also, it was raining when I picked it up and no one offered to help me to my car with it. The Manager stood by it while I pulled my car up to the door and went back in to pick it up. I have never been to a Hobby Lobby before. I always assumed that they were like Joann's and Micheal's. However, they seem to have more than their compition it's not just crafts here. You can find furniture and home decor too! They have great sales running here. I went yesterday they had alot of items 50% off. For example: Mirrors, and furniture. The staff could have been more helpful and knowledgeable. That would have gotten them 4 stars. But hey you can't win them all. I will be back again soon. read more

Think "boatload of arts & crafts supplies." Are you thinking about this? Now, triple that. You probably still are not visualizing the full extent of what can be found here. Things I didn't even realize were arts & crafts, like an aisle dedicated just to mason jars.Who knew? Which is all well and good until you need to find something. Because there is no directory to speak of. And the aisles range from "not-labelled-at-all" to "labelled-with-one-to-two-words." Nor is the logic of the groupings perceptible to me. I was searching for simple paints for my son's school project. I assumed paints of various kinds would be grouped together. I learned I was wrong only after 5-10 minutes spent perusing an aisle only to learn that the paints there were only for use in air brushes. Paints were scattered in various locations depending upon their uses. A good example of the daunting task you face was illustrated as I tried to check out in the long line at the single open register. A woman came in and had no idea where to look for what she needed. She interrupted the cashier as she was checking out a customer and asked where the "heat guns" would be. Now, I'm no crafter, but even I knew what that was. The cashier, however, was confounded. The woman tried to explain that it looked like a blow dryer. Cashier is still not getting it. Now, the customer who was supposed to be checked out is getting annoyed and asking that the cashier finish her purchase. Cashier does this, but when she finishes and is about to help the next in the long line of increasingly angry customers, the woman who had walked in shows the cashier a picture of what she was looking for. The cashier responds: "Oooooh. Yeah, those are about 3/4 of the way down on the right on the 'ink stamps' aisle." Because where else would a heat gun be, I guess. But then, I still don't know why I saw all the Elmer's glue in what was labelled the "party favors" aisle. read more

Today as I was leaving Hobby Lobby the lady gave me a sack with my beads in it and there was a hole that we didn't notice. All my beads fell out of the bag and they went everywhere. I had to pick up beads one by one off the ground. The cashier didn't say anything. I asked for a new bag and she was like "oh um sure". Instead of helping me pick them up or saying I can get a new pack, she just watched and didn't say anything. It was embarrassing for people to step over me with no help. Usually I love coming in this store because I love crafting, but today wasn't great. Everyone in there, all the way to the other customers all seemed in a bad mood. I came in there specifically for wrestling stickers (I'm working on a wwe scrapbook), and all the aisles I went down had boxes and baskets full of stock. When I found something to look at there was a lady literally breathing down my neck. And I saw one associate that looked like she hated life and was on her phone. When I finally got to the register, the same girl was checking us out. Ashya I think was her name. She did not seem happy to be there at all. She sighed when she saw she had a line, and didn't even talk to me or my husband during the transaction. I feel like most cashiers try to make some sort of conversation or something. And atleast smile? She then turned around and started trying to help the lady in the line behind her. My husband had to ask for the receipt and wait another 5 minutes for her to respond. When she finally responded she gave him a big glare. This kind of customer service is so unreal and I'm actually pretty frustrated about this experience.. read more

Today, I went into Hobby Lobby with my son's girlfriend. I had four items that I wanted to purchase. We were taking our time looking at different things on the isles. Get ready and walk to the register to find at least nine people in line & only one cashier. We went and left our stuff on a shelf. Later in the evening I go back to Hobby Lobby because I really wanted to get what I had picked out, earlier. I am walking back to where I saw the items and an employee of Hobby Lobby tells me I need to leave the store? We are closing and you don't need anything! I looked at her and told her I was going to take my leisurely time at finding what I needed and I didn't need her telling me to leave the store. The only nice person was the gal at the register. I was trying to get my 40% off coupon off my phone & she opens a drawer and she scanned the coupon for 40% off. I will not shop at that Hobby Lobby again.
