My friends and I had a blast making the Turkish lamps at this Art Masterclass space. Shout out to…read moreKaren F's birthday! We all booked online and were able to pick which lamp we wanted to design. I chose the swan lamp. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and once checked in we got situated at a table with a few other guests. I am in love with the space. First off, it's in a business area, and on a Sunday, there was no one else around. My GPS had difficulty finding the exact spot but once I had the suite number it was easy to find. When we walked in you could see how bright and airy this space is. Before the start of class, we had time to chit chat and walk around to get ideas for our lamps. Our teacher (I think her name was Oun?) was super sweet and walked us through each step. The first step is laying out your design. We were served Turkish coffee and a Turkish treat, (for an extra charge) during this step. During the step where we glue on the tiles we were served the pomegranate tea that came with the price of the class. At the end of our 2+ hours we were given instructions on how to make the cement to seal all the mosaic tiles in and once I do that, I will post photos of my finished product. We all had a blast and would 100000% recommend coming here to get artsy.

We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal to us initially, however the rest of the night was very dismissive and like that so it was a bummer in that essence. Even though we weren't well educated on the tufting process we had an enjoyable time amongst ourselves. The activity and crafting itself is great! Just wish the customer service matched the energy.

It was such a fun experience to do with friends and I did not know I can be this creative. Upon entering, an employee was sitting at the front and she explained to us the different activities they have available. There is a variety of charms to choose from and some nicer charms are part of the deluxe plan. I chose the single photo frame, and my friends chose the phone chain. It is kind of pricey overall, but I guess it is for the experience. There were a couple times we needed help from an employee, but there was no one around. My friend's chain also broke a few days later, but it was made too loose and then overtightened. Those were my only complaints. Otherwise, this is very fun to do with friends or on a date! I would come back and try something else. The employees were very kind and patient with explaining everything.

I needed a large frame for my stretched-canvas artwork. I usually go to one of the large chain…read moreretailers, but the frame I wanted was discontinued. I went online and discovered Framing Warehouse. The gentleman there was kind and helpful, and a lot more creative than I am. Together, we chose a beautiful gray and silver custom floating frame ( 42x42 ) that was perfect for my art. Pricing and lead-time were better than I expected. I definitely recommend Framing Warehouse & Arthouse Gallery!

However, she forgot to add a hanger to the frame, so I had to take care of it myself when I got home from vacation. I guess I'm not very good at these things, as I got a sawtooth hook that came with screws and bought a hammer. Obviously you don't hammer a screw. *face palm* Plus the frame was thicker than I thought..... I was rather bummed and frustrated cause I couldn't wait to get it up! So I called the closest framing store to see how much it would be to get a hook on it, to my surprise Steven, the Gallery Director said "Come on in! I would love to help you free of charge." Which he did... Even though I didn't have to pay, I definitely want to go back and give them my business and you should too!! They even have some amazing art pieces for sale. I was particularly drawn to Talia's work. I can't wait to go back and purchase one of her pieces! I always love to support local businesses and this one is definitely worth the support. This experience made my day more than they probably know :)
