One thing I hate about the store is the high price on everything and then the 40% off areas. They have signs posted what the price will be but it is annoying. Start off by saying customer service was ok, the products I bought on the other hand weren't, I bought $85 worth of melt and pour soap base goats milk and tripe butter, that smelled weird When I melted it down, almost like slightly burnt plastic, it smells like some one used it over and over and melted it back down and poured it back in the container to sell, I have about 20 bars of soap that reek even with fragrance added, I wish I would have waited till Amazon had my base back in stock. You can smell it through the peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus fragrances, lavender did well tho. Crazy part is they lather so freaking good the smell is just so overbearing. read more

Wow! Thanks to my cashier named Victoria for her lack of Christmas cheer!!!!! I was standing in line and the woman before me was waiting for a price check on a can of spray paint. I had no problem with this and didn't and never mind waiting especially during busy times, like the holidays. It took a solid 10 minutes but like I said, I am a very patient customer. Well, I was trying to be helpful and I had 16 glass items that were on the small side, so I offered to wrap 15 of them up in paper to try to make Victoria's job, easier, and to move things along. She barked at me with lots of tone and told me, ma'am, I will handle this! OK, OK... So when it came time for me to be rung up, she goes do you wanna wrap them up now and I replied, absolutely not, and I thanked her for her Christmas cheer. read more

I stopped into Hobby Lobby looking for picture frames between Christmas and New Year's. Upon entering the store, there was a display of Valentine's Day items. I loved the hanging and desktop standing replicas of old time Valentines. There was row after row of 70% off Christmas items! I was a little disappointed in the collage frame selection. Maybe they were picked over for holiday gift giving or hung up in supply chain issues. I left empty handed except for a cute little DaySpring card I found. The associates here are doing their absolute best. Hard working and good intentioned. You don't always get the help you need finding your stuff, but that's because they seem to be stretched thin and overworked. There's always like 10 waspy, stay-at-home mom crafters to every 1 floor associate. The store is huge and there's lots of stuff to explore. I discovered the beast that is Hobby Lobby within the past year, and I got sucked in and keep coming back!! They really do have most of your crafting and decorating needs. It's like Target in the sense that you go in for one thing and leave with a bunch of extra goods you didn't know you needed. I think the prices are pretty reasonable. Hobby Lobby as a whole is just a tacky corporation, with values and political/religious interests that will be off putting to many. I guess I'm torn between my ethics and my desire for cheap cutesy holiday decorations. It's a dilemma. Lol read more

Closed her til and accepted an only Spanish speaking family to help while she proceeded to speak Spanish through all her transactions. I came up to redeem my cart after needing to leave because they didn't accept Apple Pay. When I came to claim my basket she looked and me and told me not to touch things that aren't mine. Excuse you? I was in Dallas and stopped into this store. They don't do coupons anymore but overall the prices are good. However, the price stickers were hard to find on several things and I had a hard time distinguishing between a clearance sticker that was scattered with everything else and the regular priced items that were by a 40% off sign. read more

Hobby Lobby is one of those places to me that I need to take a stroll through every once in awhile. But I only need to come here every once in awhile for those little odds and ends things that I cannot find somewhere else. What I have learned with what I have bought at Hobby Lobby is you really have to watch the quality. I have purchased some things there were really just a step above junk by the time I got them and they fell apart. Then I have purchased some other things that were relatively a pretty good deal in decent quality. The one thing did everything I have bought has in common though is that none of it was cheap as in inexpensive. On this particular visit I arrived about 30 minutes before closing time. At about 15 minutes before closing time announcements went over the intercom that they would soon be closing and to make our final selections. About that time a swarm of employees that were nowhere to be found when I needed help came flying out of the Woodworks telling me that they were going to be closing soon and I needed to make my final selections and bring them up front. Where were these people when they could have been asking that I need help 20 minutes before the? Anyway if you need some things Furr's a party decor or seasonal decor this might be a decent place for you to check out. read more

There is a worker here who is absolutely rude! Look I'm not the type of person to write reviews but wow just wow. I was waiting in line while these two workers were just yapping to each other barely even acknowledging the customer that was in front of them and then the other lady called me over like I was some dog. And told me very rudely to go to another cash register. Actually ticked me off so much but you know what I didn't want to be kicked out so I kept my mouth shut but oh boy. She was a black woman with very short almost looking like buzz cut hair style she had glasses and she was on the thicker side. I hope yall figure out your workers because this lady needs to get her attitude checked. I know this is "just hobby lobby" but cmon have some human decency! I came in looking for photo albums. I walked around for a good 10 minutes before I finally stopped someone. They showed me to a small rack of about 5 photo albums. I asked if they hadnt been restocked. I was told they only keep a few. A little weird i thought for this type of place. That aside, they have pretty much everything else you could need. They have decor items, craft items, etc. The checkout counter was a beating. They only had two registers open and both clerks must have been new because they were so slow. Both lines were about 5-6 people deep. One of the clerks would look at each item and make a comment about it before putting it into a bag. They really need to work on a speedy checkout process. read more

Kind of dissappinted that this store didnt have pattern books and the fabric section is so flimsy with not much offering. Employees were the worst. One almost ran me over with a basket and one almost hit me while carrying a huge picture frame. Both barely said excuse me. Cashier rang up my fabric with no hello, thank you, or goodbye. We waited in line longer than you wait in line at Walmart on a weekend -- AND THAT IS BAD! Oh Hobby Lobby - why do I keep coming back? You have the WORST customer service! No one ever speaks or for that matter acknowledges our presence. Today I got to listen to the lady at the cutting counter chat with her daughter and then I had to wait until she deemed it necessary to speak to me and then she was visibly rude and acted like she was doing ME a favor by doing her job. Needless to say I didn't want to put her out so I passed on the many yards of fabric I planned to purchase. So back to my questionb as to why... I love this store and the prices, but had a bad experience today with a very long wait to check out with lots of staff standing around and not offering to check me out in a different line. I had a one year old with me who was fussy which didn't help. Then I had to ask for paper to wrap my frames and mirror and do it myself while the cashier watched. Finally I had to open the door with my back and wheel out my baby and frames, also whole staff stood by and watched. I would have appreciated at least a little help. read more

I love Hobby Lobby and this location is great! I found everything I needed pretty fast while I did some Christmas shopping. What I love most is everything is usually 50% off. I got some great picture frames for gifts and a ton of other stuff and spent under $50. Everyone working there was very friendly especially at check out. There were very long lines, being that it is Christmas time and the manager was directing people and I didn't have to wait long at all. Great store, great prices and friendly staff! I have a love-hate relationship with Hobby Lobby. They're great, but they also suck. 3 stars it is! The selection is typically great. They usually don't run out of something unless someone purchased the entire stock (and yes, that happens.) They have everything we need for our "crafty-ness" and art projects most of the time. Here's where my peeves come in. First, the registers are WAY outdated. WAY. OUTDATED! It's annoying; can you tell? Second, they are a publicly Christian company. They play Gospel music and they claim to have some great values, etc, etc, etc... HOWEVER, the employees are mis-treated, the management pays no attention to anything happening in the store, and the service is the worst. Basically, if you go in not knowing what you want beforehand, you'll not be helped well. You have to seek an employee, and when you find one, they're usually really unhappy. There's the love-hate. 85% of the time, we're pleased with Hobby Lobby. The other 15% we go do Jo-Ann or Michael's. read more

Another store that I will only visit for comedic value. I wondered why Id never been to Hobby Lobby over the years as I looked to replenish some of my art and drafting supplies. This week saw me visit Asel first, but the next day I dropped into Hobby Lobby to see what they had to offer. Here's what they have: A massive store 80% full of alleged "decorations" and furniture, with a label that proudly states that they are made in China but for a company headquartered in Oklahoma, and a bunch of scowling, constipated looking customers scrutinizing them. Why I can't believe I just typed anything so bad about my fellow "Christians". Also almost everything seemed to be overpriced by @ 10-15% versus comparable stores. The back couple of rows have art, arts and craft supplies and picture framing department (not exaggerating, the front 80% of the store is all kooky looking candleholders, 179.00 electric "Man Cave" signs(?!), floral, etc). Had a terrible interaction with an employee in this area as she was stocking and I asked the location of twine, she could barely be bothered to look in my direction and nodded towards the opposite corner of the back row of the store while mumbling something about T-Shirts. I worked in framing for many years at a store like this, so it was easy for me to see that this place stinks. I decided to pop into Michaels a mile or so away since I hadn't been there in years either, liked what I saw relevant to my needs, and joked with their employee about how I'd never patronize a Hobby Lobby again. read more

Hobby Lobby is great. Much different than Michael's. Michael's is more just arts and crafts. Hobby Lobby has so much to decorate your home with! Pictures, wall art, & all kinds of accessories as well as all of the arts and craft needs you have. We were able to find everything we needed from flowers, wall art, pins, clips, scarves, etc for what we needed. It was so nice to find everything on our list in one store. If its not at Michaels its at Hobby Lobby. They have a much wider selection for home decor and craft objects. I also think that the ribbon section and fabric section is an added bonus in any craft store. I usually always find what I need. Holiday sections are kept tidy and usually current within a few months range of holidays. I think thing about Hobby Lobby that I enjoy most is the assortment of glass jars, frames, and funky accent furniture finds for storage. Hobby lobby in general needs to update to it quicker checkout system! At all of their locations the poor check out girl has to memorize the sales for the week and punch everything in by hand. And the receipts are ridiculously hard to read!! If you're new to hobby lobby things can be kind of hard to find. For example to look for ribbon you should search in floral, sewing, wedding supplies and maybe crafts too. This store is clean and well stocked. I'm an artist and I prefer to buy most of my brushes and paints here. But, I know what I'm looking for. I've been to Michaels and I've been to Joann's however, this Hobby Lobby beats both. I'm not really into crafting but this store has everything. A plus is that they always have sales!!
