Great craft store that has served Dallas for years. Need framing? They got custom framing or everything you need to do it yourself. They also keep up to date with seasonal decorations for your abode, so if you need to add a little festive to your decor, this might be the place for you! The staff is always friendly and helpful, something that really sets them apart from a lot of their competitors. TPeople follow you around if you're there for more than 5 minutes because they think you're stealing, or maybe that was just me being profiled for being MEXICAN, they are not helpful and don't even act like they want to be, they are not friendly, do not know answers to questions you'd think SOMEONE in the store would know, give WRONG INFORMATION, and ultimately try to direct you to different locations. They should be ashamed of themselves! My daughter spent her allowance on a $10 grab bag box and was in tears to see it full of items from 2023 graduation that has the year on it. Love this Michael's. Everything is always so well organized and they sometimes have decent sales! This last time I came in and all flowers were 50% off. They're really great about honoring returns and they make it painless to return items. I returned a few flowers because I realized I purchased more than I needed. I just went to the counter and handed them the receipt. No questions asked. I was out in less than a minute. I would definitely recommend stopping in here for all your craft needs. read more

I drove to Michael's to have a frame mat resized. I asked the counter sitter if it was possible to widen the mat opening. His very sheepish reply was "I think so, but the framer doesn't come in until 5:00 (it's 3:00). I replied but the store is open so do you only do framing part time? The counter sitter shrugged his shoulders like he was completely lost. I said I would leave it and pick it up tomorrow. To my astonishment the counter sitter says "sorry but you can't leave things with us, only with the framer." Really? I have to ask what kind of business operates like this. We will do your framing at our convenience and our schedule, definitely not at the customers convenience or not necessarily when the store is open. Try JoAnn's, much better service. read more

This review is for the custom framing department located at this Michaels. Although I have been here several times before with no problems. I recently went it to get priced a custom framing job for 4 art pieces. At the time, Michaels was having a great promotion on custom framing and I decided to take advantage of the offer. I ended up spending roughly an hour here matching mat colors to the colors in my paintings. Our sale associate was named Ken and he did a fabulous job making sure the mats matched perfectly to the artwork. Don't get me wrong I was a little unsure how it would come out and was not too happy about all the money I was investing. However, I wanted each piece to look great as I purchased them from a different country and don't know when I will be back to buy more. Overall, the service provided to me was great and I highly recommend Ken when you need something custom framed. It was worth every penny I paid! :) read more

I just had some framing work done at Michael's and it came out perfectly. I've had them frame other things for me in the past (photos, art, diplomas), each time having a positive experience. Their staff has always been helpful and friendly. I feel better taking things here versus other professional framers because I feel I'm not paying an arm and a leg to get nice work. It also seems like they mail out coupons every week. They offer a huge variety of frames and mats to choose from. No issues with matching the colors I needed at all. If you aren't looking for pro framing work, then they also have a lot of normal frames to choose from - lots of styles, colors, sizes and variety. read more

First time and last time at this location. I was looking for foam board and adhesive as well as a few frames and didn't see any stock on the shelf. I asked an employee for help...She said she was busy and paged someone else while she went on chatting to another employee. The second girl came to help and she was as lost as I was. There didn't appear to be any stock of what I was looking for and when I mentioned that it said it was in stock at the store when I looked on the website, she laughed at me and said "Oh! You should never believe those things" and continued to chuckle. I left letting her know my displeasure of her "customer service" and went to the Park Blvd location to make my $450 purchase of foam board and frames. Just a heads up to management. read more

I don't feel like this store is set up intuitively enough for the customers because I found myself constantly asking the employees for help finding items. Even though I read all aisle signs and aisle markers it was very difficult. I think it may just be this location because I don't have issues any other time. They have a large sale and discount area but I found a lot of those to just be trinkets that aren't particularly useful. I probably won't find myself as a regular at this location. read more
