3.26.22 First I am going to say, I don't shop at Macy's…read moreoften. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised that they remodeled, added a Starbuck's, and put cash registers by the doors. That's a huge improvement. (Well so we thought) The registers are very close together so you are standing very close to the other customers who are paying) I am giving one star for the remodel; After that it was all down hill!!!!! --- I jumped in line to do a return. I had my receipt, tags were still on everything. So this should not take anytime, right....well wrong! The cashier (Dessie) was RUDE. I did not realize it was over 90 days from my purchase. (Duh, COVID) So she said she would have to change the prices on everything manually. ...ok. She called another cashier over for some unknown reason. I asked her if she could put it on a gift card/store credit, she replied, Yeah with an eye roll. During this time my daughter walks up and asked why they are taking so long and another lady walks up to the cashier right next to us. This woman was talking really loud to the cashier and my daughter just looks at her. This woman went OFF on my daughter. Asking her what she is looking at and telling my daughter she needs to mind her own business then asked me WHAT I was looking at. (Wrong move) My daughter told me that the only reason why she "looked" at that lady was because she was thinking is she having problems with Macy's like we are. This set the mood for our shopping in Macy's. Rude cashiers is not a way to get me want to spend my money here and we didn't. We left immediately. Macy's needs as many customers as they can get. They have been close to bankruptcy for years. Having rude employees is not a way to get me to shop here. WILL NOT RETURN.

It's locally owned and we absolutely love shopping in here and by we I mean Barbie because she usually spends money in here every time we come to 99 Ranch.

The staff are helpful and quick to get my items for pick up and also very easy returns. I'm here so often that I'm glad to see the same staff. Great value for buying for yourself and gifting to others. I do recommend you have them open your boxes for pickup there as I was missing an item one time and the manager quickly refunded for me the jeans. They do sell stuff in store that is not available online.

I stopped by the store the next day with my receipt and the sneakers, explaining that I called the day before and was told to bring the shoes in. The store manager refused the return and said it's not the store's job to manage defects. After leaving the store, I called the Rack customer service number, who absolutely said the store should've taken the return and given me a refund. Do not go to this Rack...it's messy and disorganized, anyway. The other locations in town are way better.

If I am looking for home decor or clear storage items (which you know I live these!!) this is my first stop. You can get great storage containers here and save quite a bit of money. (Love that!) This location has already been a bit sketchy in my opinion and I try to avoid it unless I am specifically looking for something that Walmart has, since there is a HEB and a Costco not too far off and there's typically zero reason to come to Walmart. The interior has glimpses of chaos and is a bit messy and just gives off a slightly rundown feel. Their product prices here have gone up dramatically since the vivid memories of a childhood shopping trip and Walmart is very much leading the charge to showcase 2024 inflation in all of its glory. Most of the products can be purchased elsewhere or online or cheaper and I would recommend fresh produce at HEB instead. It's the odds and ends that Walmart sometimes has the upper hands on, but besides that, there is no reason to shop regularly here.

Since these are items that typically wear out fast anyway, I prefer to not spend an arm and a leg. I've not been so lucky on clothing finds here. Every now and then I find a cute top or fun jeans, but it's rare. One suggestion at the checkout: please stop over selling the TJ Maxx credit card. The first girl gave her spiel and I politely declined, but then the other girl helping the first girl went into the spiel too. Sometimes it's too much and it personally makes me uncomfortable having to say no; especially multiple times. I worked retail when I was younger, so I know they probably have a quota to get to keep their progress up, but please don't repeat it. Maybe the second girl didn't hear the first girl. Just putting it out there.

I quickly pulled out the app and bingo! I found it and bought a shirt for $2.98 on that day. I came back today and hoping to strike another luck. Not necessarily the coupon but I had a good experience on the clearance rack at the other Nordstrom Rack in Westchase. But there weren't any thing for me at this Galleria store. Then, I went to the shoe clearance racks but there weren't any clearance shoes. Ok. I found a couple of shoes with special tags on the regular priced racks. Ugh. So unorganized. Back in the summer, it was my first time here after shopped at Westchase Nordstrom Rack and really liked the merchandise. I found a shirt with price tag from Kohls. After I pointed it out to the dressing room attendant, she found a Nordstrom tag to put on there. Then upon check out, the cashier tried so hard to sell me the store credit card. I told her politely as I needed to pay off my current credit card debt before I would apply for their credit card. She said "I'll be watching you next time you come in. You're going to apply for the credit card." I stopped going there during the day.

In the past, I would say shopping at Nordstrom Rack was always a good experience. I've been able to find gifts here and also items for myself. During previous shopping trips, the clothing and accessories selection was top notch. The Madewell earrings I purchased here were reasonably priced - like a real sale and good value. However, during my latest trip, I was actually unable to find any jewelry I liked and almost all of it was overpriced. The purses were also overpriced, and the main discounted items in that section were basically Steve Madden brand, which makes me laugh. I was able to find a beautiful scarf, but most of the other scarves I looked at were unremarkable. Hardly anyone else was in the accessories section aside from me. In fact, there were very few shoppers in the store on a Friday evening, which is a bad sign. In the past, this store would be crowded. In the shoes selection, there was no middle ground between heels/platform shoes and more sporty shoes. Hardly any flats! This is so odd and off to me, but maybe other people like it. Regarding clothing, I was able to find a cool brown shirt, but the way most clothing is organized in this store is counterintuitive and not helpful. The cashier did not greet me at all and had very little to say on the back end, so I just grabbed my bag and walked out. I doubt I would return to this location and have found shopping online or in person at the regular Nordstrom to be a much better experience.
