And...no assistance with your purchases to your car (the baskets can't be taken out)! Customers needing assistance are told to leave their purchases inside (security supposedly watches it...upon return didn't.see him, and bring your car.to the front. Even after doing so...no assistance to even hand your nags to you, or hold the door for you nothing! This is an extremely poor example of customer.service. Also poor handling of a.customer doing an exchange, after purchasing a shirt approximately 30 minutes before, and had left the receipt in the store. Customer.want.to exchange the shirt and was aggravated. OK, so I wouldn't recommend you buy all your clothes here because you will end up with nothing after a month or two, but Ross can definitely help you out in an emergency. For example: Going on a date? Want to wear your yellow pumps? but wait, your hot as hell black dress is at the cleaners. Dang! Maybe that black shirt some jeans an that awesome yellow belt... wait.. that shirt is not black... it's navy blue!!! OMG! What am I going to wear! Worry not dear friend, Ross is here to help you. Go to your nearest Ross store (there are at least 500 in Houston!) and pick up a nice shirt or a dress for your date. Situation controlled and your date will never know you bought that shirt/dress just for the date! But, do not expect to own it for more than two or three wears. I love Ross but the truth is that the materials for most of their clothes are cheap. Don't get me wrong, I have found awesome dresses that I have had for a while, but the rule is that their materials mostly suck. I love to buy things for my apartment at Ross, the other day I found a set of white satin sheets for $14!! And purchased a little cow cup for my tea for $3! I just love finding cute little things(and inexpensive) at Ross. I am definitely a fan, but I still will buy my main wardrobe pieces else where. read more

Ross is probably my favorite place to shop. They have pretty much everything for everyone. I am all about a bargain. Most of the time when I visit this particular location, I never have any issues. Except last night. I bought 3 pairs of pants, workout gear and a toy for my dog and when I got to the cashier for her to ring up my items, she pulled out a garbage bag,. At first I was thinking she had to change the trash can liner or something and then I noticed her putting MY ITEMS IN THERE!! I asked her if they had any bags left and she "No, I'm so sorry. We ran out." I then asked for the manager and from what I gathered from our conversation they had been out of Ross bags for weeks. As a frequent Ross shopper, this is unacceptable. Management should know better than to put your newly bought items in a trash bag. They could have made better decisions and this wouldn't have happened. This Ross Dress for Less is close to my office building. They have a lot of merchandise. It's easy to find parking. I really have no complaints. Sometimes the line is long but that is just reality. The employees are friendly. I generally find that they have a very big selection of home items, pet items, women's clothing, dresses & accessories. That is what I am shopping for. They definitely have a bigger selection than the Ross in Fulshear on 1093. I recommend this Ross!! read more

I'm an avid Ross Shopper. The selection here is actually GOOD. I'm only interested in ladies shoes, ladies accessories, ladies clothing and homegoods/housewares and speciality food. I've been able to find some good gems every time. The best thing about this location is the name brands. Service was less than stellar. The young lady was nice enough after I waited for 10 min in the "jewelry" section. They had a pink (fuschia) Timex triathlon shock watch for .....$6.49. I bought two. Best deal ever. The watches did ring up regular price $29,.99 but she did some research and I ended up paying $13 for two....WINNING! They also had some Movado, Gucci and Michael Kors watches. Best selection of name brand watches I've seen at any Ross store. Would stop by again if I was in the neighborhood. This store was a disaster. I've never been to another Ross Dress for Less, but this store makes me question whether I ever will. While the prices were cheap, most of what my co-worker picked out didn't even have a tag on it. What kind of store doesn't have tags or labels for pricing? Also, the organization was questionable, and the workers seemed like they were more in the way than being helpful. Items were misplaced in aisles, and the whole store felt disorganized. To add insult to injury, when we got to the counter to check-out the woman hurried us up while still checking out another customer. It was rude, and then she proceeded to do the same to us, before we were done! The store wasn't busy enough to warrant this, and it was extremely unprofessional. For the prices, I would consider visiting another Ross Dress for Less, but I won't return to this one. read more

I love the selection of dresses at this particular Ross store. However, I usually have to give myself a pep-talk before I dare go in. 1)The lines are always ridiculously long 2) I find that shoppers are very territorial. I love Ross. But this Ross is ridiculous. There are always only two registers open and the lines are so long. The aisles are cramped and hard to find anything on. There are always so many people here, I guess because it's on Westheimer. Everything mostly seemed picked over. I've never been to Ross that had so little of everything. The only reason I even gave it a 3 instead of a 2 is because I had to return a curtain rod and the girl who did the transaction was really nice and helpful. read more

Know that they have a little of everything so if you are looking for specifics, a visit here could be a waste of time for you. Went here at 9:30 in the morning. The two girls working the front, (one in the return line) are rude, completely incompetent and entirely inattentive .. Rarely come here as it is, but this definitely will be the last time I ever do. Management needs to hire employees that at least can act like they don't live with a stick up their butt. To the 2 females at the front, get over yourself. You not cute, and your attitude makes it worse. Try brushing y'all yellow teeth, and it might seem forgien, but take a brush or comb to that head. This store is in poor condition. I went in on Tuesday night at 5:40 and the place was a mess! Clothes everywhere. No logical order to dress racks-where were clothes sized smaller than a 10? Do not buy luggage here. Bought a carry-on two months ago (Samsonite) that I have found has a manufacturing flaw. Handle broke after the second time I used it. They would not exchange even though I have all receipts. I'll never buy Samsonite and I'll never buy Ross again, and I don't think you should either. Have a great life Ross! This Ross has everything I'm looking for including home decor, cute purses, dresses, and other miscellaneous items. I got a calphalon skillet set for $25!!!! It would have been much more at Macy's for the same thing. I also got a devotional book here for $5 which I read every single day. I work a 9-5 job so whenever I'm looking for nice professional dresses I can always find something here. Sometimes it is a bit cluttered that's why I didn't give 5 stars but overall I would recommend shopping here. read more
