Every time I have stopped into this store, it has been because my kids were playing in the AstroTurf outside, and I just needed a moment of respite from the noise. But every time I have been in, I have found something I wanted to come home with me. The service is friendly, and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. My most recent visit resulted in the perfect find: a sparkly cocktail dress perfect for New Years Eve, or in my case, a birthday dress! They only had one, and it was in the window mannequin, and miraculously, in my size! They quickly stripped the mannequin and put me in a dressing room. And the dress was PERFECT! read more

I am a huge fan of this store and do not understand the negative reviews! I've always had great service here. They start a dressing room for me right away and always add one or two of their favorites as a suggestion. Sure the clothes are pricey, most blouses run $100 or more, but they're so original and cute. I found the sizing in most things to be quite generous and can actually size down. Not all items, but a good amount of them. Everytime I come to town I come here.If they dont have my size on the rack they always check in back and usually find it. Do wish they could keep the doors closed and the air on though but the general public thinks they're closed if they do so I understand. read more

Went into this location for the first time today. It's right across from urban outfitters. One of the staff greeted me when I walked in, and helped me find my size in the back store room. I was content with the service. I only saw 2 girls working the store tonight. I felt the store was a bit small and had a limited selection, but it was neat and tidy. The sale section was a little cramped. It was like a little open closet and if more than 4 people are in there at a time, you'll keep bumping into each other. read more

When I'm bored, and have run out of ways to waste time, I like to look at clothing online (guys don't do that, huh--I suppose the equivalent would be pics of hot chicks; a lot of the clothing isn't attainable, but it's nice to pretend, right?). Free People is one of my online browsing staples. The clothes are young and cute in the boho chic style (not too boho). It's like Urban Outiftters' more well-put together and expensive older sister (but not by much) and Anthropologie's more free-wheeling younger sister. I rarely buy anything from there, as the clothes do seem a little more for the college set (the college set with money), but I'll sometimes find a few things that I can work into my wardrobe. Still, I was excited to see that a Free People boutique had opened up in City Centre. I was surprised to see how tiny the store was, as it's basically one room, with the registers up front, some mannequins, and a few dressing rooms. The sales associate told me that the one that would be opening up in Galleria would be much larger, but that this store is pretty gorgeous when the weather's right, as they can open both sets of the heavy wooden doors, so that sunlight can stream in from both sides. Given the limited selection at this store, and the inconvenient (for me) location (not to mention the pain of parking), I'd probably wait it out for the Galleria location. read more

Not a fan of this location. Despite how expensive their clothes are, I've generally found FP employees to be very helpful and friendly. I just don't get the same feeling here. Even worse, I once heard them trash talk a customer right after she left the store. Granted, the customer was trying to make a return with the tags off already, but it was totally unprofessional to complain about a customer when others are in your store. I never go revisit a store if I catch that, because there's no guarantee they won't do the same to me. Do yourself a favor and visit the Galleria store. The girls there are really nice, and they have a bigger selection. read more

A little too bohemian-hippy for my taste. I did notice a couple of really cute lacie-type nighties - or were they meant to be worn out? Hmmm, I guess that's why I want too sure about this place! I'm much more of a classic dresser and this place was a little too far out of my comfort zone. The girls working when I browsed were both very sweet and friendly. They had a walk-in closet in the back with clearance items. For the beginning of November, everything in this section was extremely summery and too skimpy for even a Houston winter. I guess if you're going to buy now and save for next summer, it makes sense. Overall a cute boutique, just not for me. read more

I always check out a Free People Boutique when I come across one, but usually order on line because of the larger selection. This little store had some nice items, love Free People alpaca blend sweaters, no matter what season. And some very neat jewelry here. read more

So I had to stop into this store as it's closest to my home and what a refreshing group of girls there to take care of me!! I was very pleased with their attentiveness and yet no hovering over me!! Perfect involvement for a huge FP fan like me!! Got a gorgeous sweater and a pretty bra and will definitely be back soonest!! I hope the other FP stores are this awesome!! read more

Don't know what happened to this location! The staff was so unfriendly. Not even a hi when you walk in and a bit snobby. The clothes I know are free people so supposed to be good quality but they look soooooooo cheap. Don't know what happened here! So disappointed. Could not find anything I liked; also because the store looks very messy. If I didn't know the brand I would think it was a cheap looking unknown local brand trying to make it. Please send someone to fix this store as the stuff is generally nice and very comfortable but it needs to look nice. read more

Like everyone says, it's teeny tiny. However, if you are just stopping in without catalog favorites already in mind, you might be pleasantly surprised. It is really lovely and I find the customer service exceptional. read more

The store is very hot inside as they keep the doors open even during the summertime. they say because their doors are heavy & when shut people think they are closed. thats pretty ridiculous. why not just change the doors so the customers can try on clothes in comfortable setting? I agree I found this FP store to be snotty & unpleasant. The store manager think her name is Maddie is horrible. She treated me & my friends (customers) very rudely a few weeks ago. It was obvious she doesn't even like life! & to witness how she treats employees makes you think how does FP executive management REALLY think of their customers?! Don't go to this location unless you don't mind the store manager looking at you with rolling eyes & treating you as if you are not welcomed in her store & really doesn't want you there. Found no issues with Urban nearby & great selection of clothes. Urban & FP are part of the same family of stores. And it's much cooler in Urban. read more

The only reason I am giving this place 3-stars is because of their jewelry selection. It has an amazing selection of unique rings and necklaces for amazing prices!! This is my go-to store for new rings! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the clothes. Free People is the same company that owns Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters so just stop by one of those. Luckily in CityCenter, both are just across the way! read more

agree with the other reviewers that the selection here really sucks. they NEVER have anything from the catalog, and the manager (or at least i think she was the manager) was bitchy because i didn't buy anything. well if they had a better selection, i probably would buy something! can't wait to see what the galleria location will be like. the brand itself is super-pricey for pretty crappy materials and construction. they are more selling their layered look and feel than any individual piece. HOWEVER, i do have a few pieces from free people that are cute enough for me to not care about the cheap material. they are mostly bought from online or department stores (like nordstrom's), tho, where the selection is much MUCH better. read more
