Came here for a garment rack. My friend suggested Wally World, which is where he collected his from, and it worked out well enough. Pretty easy to assemble, and even end up returning to exchange one which was a little defective, the exchange was# simple, I did have my invoice in hand. And I returned back to get a third one. It's the location serving the west side Spring Branch area off of BW8 and Westview. It's a full size location with a large parking lot and multiple entrances. This location has already been a bit sketchy in my opinion and I try to avoid it unless I am specifically looking for something that Walmart has, since there is a HEB and a Costco not too far off and there's typically zero reason to come to Walmart. The interior has glimpses of chaos and is a bit messy and just gives off a slightly rundown feel. Their product prices here have gone up dramatically since the vivid memories of a childhood shopping trip and Walmart is very much leading the charge to showcase 2024 inflation in all of its glory. Most of the products can be purchased elsewhere or online or cheaper and I would recommend fresh produce at HEB instead. It's the odds and ends that Walmart sometimes has the upper hands on, but besides that, there is no reason to shop regularly here. read more

Please beware of ordering cakes from Walmart. I never will again! I ordered my fiancés 30th birthday cake from this location. A young lady took my order, used an inspiration picture & assured me that they could make it look like the picture. When she asked what I wanted written on top I told her "Talk Thirty to Me" I told her if it's too much we can stick with a regular "happy birthday" message. But I was told they've written messages like that before and it'd be no issue to write "talk 30 to me" so I said ok and trusted them- Welllll when I pick up my cake, it says "Top Thirty" & I was furious... this was an hour before the party & the lady who originally made the cake wasn't there. I was so mad. The lady offered to "try her best" to take off the wording and rewrite the phrase. But I didn't have time & I could tell she was new in the bakery so I asked her to change ONE word on the cake... I wanted her to change "top" to "dirty" so it would read "dirty thirty". I even wrote out the spelling on my phone to ensure the decorator & i we're on the same page! I was running so late, I just trusted what the lady rewrote and left the store. (Of course no managers were in sight to fix the issue while I was at the store). It wasn't until we got to the party & lighted the candles that we all saw the cake said "Dirthy Thirty" ... all we could do was laugh. This was seriously the most disappointing cake I've ever seen. Not to mention the blue dye was so staining, not only to our clothes and skin but also to our insides (if you know what I mean ...) (The cake decorator was trying her best to get me a 10% discount that everyone was having a hard time trying to figure out how to give me so I just said forget it because a measly 10% wasn't worth being late to the party.) If it were a water mammal conservation company, it'd be Whalemart. But it's quite the opposite. The Westview Walmart is okay. I prefer the one on Yale and also the one that is on Rice. It's not terrible but there are some things they just don't have here. It's a little difficult to get to because it's on the southbound of the east side of the Sam Houston. So It's Tricky but in this area there aren't any other Walmarts that are really close and convenient, so I'm glad it's here, and I have gotten a few important things here over the years. read more

The fact that they try to stop you and ask you for your receipt but on the POS it gives you an option to do a text message and then you want to try to stop somebody because you said my card declined but then you would've seen the next transaction that said approved so if you're gonna do your job do it then don't stop anybody at the damn door if it gives you an option to send to your text.... CURBSIDE SUCKS!!! Don't ever pick up Christmas gifts here. I had to drive with my boyfriend whom I got the gift for and Walmart curbside literally ruined it. The way they were unorganized and didn't even know who's order was who they had to blurt out what it was instead of my name on the order. Anyone that is close to me knows how much I frequent Walmart. I'm sorry but it is a one-stop shop that's opened 24/7. Until they get a competitor that will treat employees better so that their customer service is better, then this is all I have...lol! Ok - that is a general statement. I want to write about this particular Walmart. This Walmart is different than any Walmart I've visited anywhere in and outside of the city. The quality of employees and customer service is a few steps above what I'm accustomed to. That is enough reason for me to drive a few extra miles at 10pm to shop. Could this be the best Walmart in the Houston area? The last time I came to this Walmart was due to me going to the optometrist who practices next to this Walmart's eye center. After my eye exam, I decided to walk inside. Just as the name implies, this Walmart Supercenter is huge. However, being inside this Walmart was unlike being in any other Walmart that I'd been to. Why? For a Saturday afternoon, this Walmart was pretty empty; or at least it felt like it was pretty empty because they had MULTIPLE CHECK OUT LANES open. When was the last time you went to Walmart and didn't wait in line to check out unless it's at 3 in the morning? And even then, you'd still have to wait in line. When was the last time you went to Walmart and you had cashiers just standing around because there's nobody in their lane? This was it for me, it was like the Twalmart Zone. forreal! I don't like Walmart very much but if there's ever a need for me to go to Walmart again, I think I might make the drive all the way out here and hope that my experience wasn't a fluke. read more

I went looking for a foot massager and some foot detoxifying patches and I found absolutely not one thing for your foot other than a brace. The store on the grocery side was pretty cool I got different groceries and I would at the Walmarts I'm normally used to go into. However the other side is less to be 6 would have to consider this a value store. Not an up store not a core store. My bad. I tried Walmart delivery again, after having multiple bad experiences with pickup and delivery. But doggone it I'm busy working and needed supplies. I spent $160+ (already debited to my account) and delivery was scheduled between 2 and 3 today. It's after 9 pm and I'm still waiting. I've called numerous times and the phone rings so long it finally disconnects. I talked with a customer service person on another continent who apologized and sent me an insulting $15 credit for another order. I need my stuff! I will never give Walmart my business again. I have never been to a Walmart, paid for my items, had my receipt thumbed thru and then been told I didn't pay for something. I'm a nurse, pulling 60 hours weekly in the middle of a pandemic.. I make way too much money to steal from Walmart, yet alone be told repeatedly, I didn't pay for something. Ironically, I scan things that can't be bagged FIRST. Not only that, I was hesitant on buying the Tupperware bcuz like most things at Walmart, it wasn't where it belonged so I didn't know the price. But purchased it bcuz I needed it. She asked me how many containers I bought today; 4, two large ones and two that were packaged together. She then told me over and over again that I didn't pay for them and proceeded to comb through my bag of groceries. When I was able to recall how much I spent on the larger two and pointed it out to her, and made her look stupid in front of her coworkers, not once did she apologize.. I freakin' hate Walmart. Seriously. It's nasty and unorganized and the checkout lines are obscene. I happily spend the extra few bucks to go to Target because they seem like they actually care about my business. Having said that... Me and my wife moved into a new place without realizing, oops, no microwave. Because it was late at night, the real stores were closed, so off we went to GhettoMart (even by WalMart's low, low standards, this one is pretty awful). We found nine models on display, but only one available (there were like 50 stocked of that one model...). We flagged down a busy-looking guy named Ron and asked for his help... This nice fella looked through the backstock for like ten minutes... asked multiple folks for help for us... and was super helpful. This is a review for only the pharmacy. I went to pick up a medication that my doctor sent and it was to be for only 30 days of pills but the prescription was sent for 90 days supply. The pharmacy was good enough to shrink the order to 30 days and honored my good Rx coupon which made my meds cost cheaper than what I could get with my prescription benefits because I paid cash. Yeah! Downside is I did have to wait 15 minutes but I did some shopping in the meantime. read more

Walmart happens to have a bad rep when it comes down to customer service. I beg to differ. I have never come across such generosity. I was looking for non slip shoes and the lady at the shoe aisle went above and beyond to help me out. Even the ladies at the fitting room were extremely helpful and friendly. I also needed a car phone charger and the lady at the cashier went all the way down several aisles to look for one. I believe the energy you put out in this world is the energy you get in return. Generally incompetent. Just all across the board but ESPECIALLY with electronics. I tried to buy a video game and a shirt today. The game wouldn't ring up, declaring "Sale not allowed". I wasn't surprised. This is the fourth time I've tried to buy a game or console from this store to be told that it wasn't in fact an item that could be bought, despite having come from a shelf, and clearly existing in my hands. Are these just colored boxes you use as decoration so your shelves don't look as hideously under stocked? So I decided I'd at least buy the shirt. But then when I tried to pay with the gift card I'd just received in the mail, all fresh and new, it couldn't be read. Both times the cashier (whose only blame in this is that she works somewhere so awful) tried to call for assistance, but the man who came simply shrugged and said he didn't have a key... I'd say I go to this Walmart because often it's the only place open late that I can buy a game from, but I've been consistently corrected that it isn't even that. Unacceptable. read more

Pros: Open 24 Hours. Some stuff (not all) is ridiculously cheap. Sells paint and mixes it too! Cons: Ghetto! Poorly managed. Bad staff. Ugly. Disorganized. The lady at the front who puts a sticker on your returns does not speak English (and not even Spanish) - WTF?? The people who work at this location are very different from the people who work at, say, the location at Highway 6 North and FM 529, where they are generally so nice and helpful. But I suppose this is to be expected given the different areas? (urban v. suburban) I also worry about someone breaking into my car if I leave anything visible. They should probably add more lights and a security patrol to the parking lot, even if to make people feel safer. I asked staff where something was and she directed me to the far corner of the store, which was the wrong place. It was crowded and there were children and strollers everywhere. It was messy and many items were sold out. The lighting was just, so, fluorescent (for lack of a better word) and it felt like hospital/prison lighting. Really obtrusive huge mirror-ball security cameras on fairly low ceilings just add to the unpleasant ambiance. This just reminds me why I like to shop at Target instead of Walmart. Ick. I usually hate Walmarts, but after moving to Spring Branch I started going to this one. Let me say to start out, that this Walmart is pretty ghetto, HOWEVER I have experienced some of the best customer service at this location that any other Walmart I've EVER been to (I'm from Oklahoma so that's quite a few Walmarts). On any given trip, several employees will ask me if I'm finding everything alright. If I need help, they take me to the location of the item, and if needed they even get it down for me. Also, many of the customers are actually really nice. I was struggling to load a very heavy item and a young man stopped to help. Its a smaller, less crowded store, so I always am able to park within a few steps of the front door, and only a few time have I ever had to wait to check out. Also, this location has the best clearance section! You name it, they have it... and probably for 90% off. This came in very handy when buying kid's prizes for my company's family picnic event. I was able to get quite a few games and prizes for a very reasonable prices. The only thing that has been frustrating is that I've learned to double check items before I purchase them. There is quite a bit of shoplifting, and I have purchased items with "missing parts" due to shoplifters. Basically, it's a Walmart, but if you are looking for one with good service and without long lines or no parking, this place may be as good as a Walmart can get. read more

Just because you sell discount products doesn't mean you need to have discount customer service. There are some great employees of Walmart and some that still can use some customer service training. Came to get keys at 10:23pm was told there were only three people in the whole store 4 Hour Walmart who can make keys? And they had closed it down for the night? Nah..... applied a little pressure and magically a lady (support manager) who I can tell has made keys before came in with grace and made he keys.
