Best pharmacy I have ever used. A loved one transferred over, too after seeing how seamless my experience has been. The staff are great, especially on the weekend. They have a cute assortment of pharmacy items and gifts and a mini post office inside. It is so incredibly convenient without long lines or nonsense. Best pharmacy in Houston! Cedra Pharmacy is like a breath of fresh air! If you phone them, you won't wait on hold until you give up, exasperated. The customer service is excellent too. They are efficient, prompt to respond... lots of good things to say about them. They also have better quality items to shop than the larger chain pharmacies have (not that you'll be waiting for any significant time). To sum it up: a more personalized and positive experience than you'll get with any of the chain pharmacies. You've heard of boutique hotels.... Well this is a boutique pharmacy. I prefer small pharmacies because I don't have to wait for a long time to get my medications filled or hear back from an actual person. Dr Wong is fast and I never have any issues with my medications. It's also convenient because there's a USPS inside. read more

This pharmacy is amazing. I called several major and smaller pharmacies all over town that were rude about the fact that there is a shortage on the medication I need and I may have to wait months. Well when I called here the lady that answered was kind, efficient in answering questions and even helped work to find me a coupon to get the price down since I do not have insurance. I got the script sent to them and they had it ready almost immediately. I went to pick it up (great location , easy to find and easy parking, located in a strip center) and the place is so cute inside!! So many neat gift options for Christmas, and decor, wrapping paper, chocolates, etc. I loved the welcoming and warm atmosphere. Today I called this pharmacy to ask about receiving a vaccine. I was told to come in and that appointments are done by walk-ins. I asked again and they explained that I could get vaccinated by walking into the clinic. However, when I arrived, I was told that vaccines are only available by online appointments. That would have been fine. The vaccine rollout has been incredibly unorganized. I understand communication errors. However, when I explained to a staff member that I was told to come in to receive my vaccine no less than 30 minutes ago, she accused me of lying and suggested I never even called the pharmacy. She then told me "Why would I expect to simply get a vaccine by walking into a store?" When I showed her my phone to prove I did call, she threw her hands up, rolled her eyes, then walked away from me. It was incredibly unprofessional, rude and unnecessary. read more

Quite simply THE BEST customer service by any pharmacy in Houston. I've used Cedra (formerly Uptown) since they opened in 2014 and they NEVER disappoint. When I needed hand sanitizer and kleenex at the start of the pandemic they came through with some. When I need an outside of normal time medication delivery they come through. When I ask for a different generic they order it. Pretty much anything I've asked of them they have met my requests. My VERY highest recommendation, the people at Cedra could not be better. read more

Typically, when a doctor calls in a prescription to CVS or Walgreens, they fill it, and you come and get it. This pharmacy needs to call you first to see if you want them to fill it. So if you do not pick up the phone from an unknown number (them) or are traveling and say miss them, they will not fill your prescription, and you have to then chase them and wait for it to be ordered, etc., all because you missed their call. If a doctor calls in a prescription, do what CVS does, fill it! Obviously, the doctor discussed it with the patient. This calling practice provides for delayed and bad service. read more

Found this hidden gem as well I was looking for my probiotic brand and I was luck they carry Ortho Biotic...use to purchase at People's RX in Austin...so happy I can purchase at a local pharmacy vs big brand. Good location, decent service, but very expensive. I'd rather order from someplace else a day ahead of time and have it shipped to me for half of what it costs me to pick the medication up in person at Cedra. I recently filled a prescription for a medication compounded for my dog. It is a drug for humans that can also be used to treat a condition my dog has and it comes compounded in liquid form. The 2 week supply at Cedra was $60 and it took 24 hours to fill. I found a different compounding pharmacy in Southwest Houston that filled it the next time for $37, INCLUDING the fed ex to get it to me the next day, so I did not have to pick it up. That means they filled it the same day it was called in by the doctor. For HALF the price of Cedra. The other pharmacy also packed it in a sturdier bottle and provided a higher quality syringe with which to administer the liquid orally. The dosage numbers on the one provided by Cedra washed off within the first week of use and I could no longer see the accurate dosage measurement after washing it each time. The one provided by the alternate pharmacy has the measurement markings etched into the plastic, so they cannot wear off. I'd use Cedra again if I had no other alternative, but given the choice, i'd prefer to go the cheaper route for the same medication and better quality supplies. read more

Ran in to grab a birthday card. found a cute card and got in line behind 3 people. waited 10 minutes just to be told I was in the wrong line. I moved to another line where NOBODY assisted me but instead just stared at me for 2 minutes before telling me i had to leave because i wasn't wearing a mask. I wasn't the only person inside without a mask and i'm also fully vaccinated and boosted. The service i received here was absolutely awful. Wasted 15 minutes in line just to be told i had to leave. I wouldn't have minded putting a mask on if there were signage telling me to or if i was asked nicely by the employee, but she was just rude. read more

I can't say enough about how impressed & grateful I am for this pharmacy. My Dad is here in Houston for cancer treatment at MD Anderson. Although the address where we are staying was slightly outside of their free delivery area, they were kind enough to accommodate us and deliver his medicine. When my Dad needed a prescription for a specialty oncology medication, the insurance company gave us a hard time to get it approved. Cedra's staff helped me fight the battle with the insurance company to obtain approval. They even helped us sign up for a copay card that allowed us to save on the costly medicine that I never would have even known existed if not for their suggestion. We are going through such a difficult time with cancer treatments, it is so refreshing to deal with a company that is willing to invest time in helping, provide amazing customer service and seems to truly care . read more
