What surprised me most was how big and clean this CVS was--especially for a downtown location! The aisles were neatly organized, everything was easy to find, and the parking right outside was a lifesaver for my morning commuter rush. The kind officer at the front door all hours of the night is ready to greet me after a lonnng bartending shift, with a warm welcome and a smile on her face. Charlie, the manager, works the late shift, as I do, and is extremely knowledgeable, warm, friendly and funny! He is great at multi tasking, and always full of energy and willing and ready to help you find a hard-to-find item. A clerk confirmed over the phone that I could pick it up with the tracking number. The tracking clearly showed that it had been delivered. When I arrived to pick up the package, the cashier was there as well as 4-5 guys from corporate in suits. Everyone was absolutely useless. The cashier was incredibly rude to me when I said I was told that I could pick it up with the number and I had the number ready and showed it to him. He said he needed names. So I pulled up names. He said he didn't have the package. HE DIDN'T EVEN CHECK. I could see all of the packages on the shelf. I kept asking him to check the names and/or the tracking number. He just kept telling me they didn't have it. It was insane.

Stephanie was immediately on it, not only finding the medication but calling the vet hospital multiple times to ensure she could safely compound it for a parrot and to get the prescription. We could not get there before closing time due to construction traffic so she left it in a bag with an ice pack hidden outside so we could get it. However the pharmacy has improved from the original reviewer complaint dating back to 2012. I had an issue with the prescription given to me by the doctors next door. After they kept sending me back and forth, one pharmacist in particular was so annoyed for me, she took the situation into her own hand, called them, and basically handled the situation explaining how my insurance wasn't cooperating, and they had to give me an alternative. She was stern, but professional. Honestly, she didn't have to do it, and I even listened as she explained step by step what the issue was with the insurance and how the doctor could rectify it. Maybe all pharmacists do this, but I've never seen it before and considering I felt like crap, I was thankful for her intervention. I would have gone home still sick or better but broke, because I had to pay for a medicine way out of my price range, which my particular insurance didn't bother to care for the "substitutions allowed" note as that medicine was just all around not improved. Which reminds me, she even gave them options of what to prescribe by telling them this is similar, that is similar. She's pretty cool. I can't remember her name, just an older woman with blond hair. If you see her, you'll know, because she'll take the time to do things right. Hell, that's worth coming back to this Walgreens as far as I'm concerned.
