Frustrating experience with a pharmacist who seemed to be new and could not answer my questions about a medication I was prescribed, told me that I could buy it cheaper over the counter, and didn't know that the generic name on my doctor's email was the same as the medication that was being held for me. She accused me of misunderstanding her instead of admitting that she was confused. Next time I will ask for someone else to help me. read more

Not to be confused with Floorgreens or Ceiling-greens, nope, this is Wall Greens. This is the Walgreens in the fancy area of West University, down on Weslayan and Bissonnet. It's a little friendlier than the one down the street at the Buffalo Speedway intersection. It's not bad and I come here on a fairly regular basis. I'd say it's pretty average but with the very very high prices it's hard for me to give it more than two. read more

I went there for a second booster with an appointment and waited almost an hour for my turn. This location was not busy at all, and since I filled the form online so I thought I would be done in 15 mins. At the counter, she gave me the same med form which I filled out online, but the person asked me to fill it again because she needed a physical copy for the record, hmmm Anyway just sat there for 45 mins and was then called by the employee to have the booster, which took only a few mins. The person who gave me a shot was very kind but seemed concerned that she was behind schedule, but again the place was not busy, or long lines were there. I will try a different location next time. read more

I'll update the review later, once I get a better feel for the store part, but from what I've seen it's your basic Walgreens. However the pharmacy has improved from the original reviewer complaint dating back to 2012. I had an issue with the prescription given to me by the doctors next door. After they kept sending me back and forth, one pharmacist in particular was so annoyed for me, she took the situation into her own hand, called them, and basically handled the situation explaining how my insurance wasn't cooperating, and they had to give me an alternative. She was stern, but professional. Honestly, she didn't have to do it, and I even listened as she explained step by step what the issue was with the insurance and how the doctor could rectify it. Maybe all pharmacists do this, but I've never seen it before and considering I felt like crap, I was thankful for her intervention. I would have gone home still sick or better but broke, because I had to pay for a medicine way out of my price range, which my particular insurance didn't bother to care for the "substitutions allowed" note as that medicine was just all around not improved. Which reminds me, she even gave them options of what to prescribe by telling them this is similar, that is similar. She's pretty cool. I can't remember her name, just an older woman with blond hair. If you see her, you'll know, because she'll take the time to do things right. Hell, that's worth coming back to this Walgreens as far as I'm concerned. read more

While this place or hit or miss I do rely on the photo which has been reliably timely and saves me from waiting an extra day. It's not the best photo production but it works in a pinch and the app always provides some good discounts. read more

This is the worst Walgreens I have been to ever. The lady even took her name tag off because she saw me writing a bad review. I was told my prescription would be ready tomorrow and then what do you know! They said it would be three days and I need it by tomorrow. The pharmacy here is trash and I'm not coming back. I can't believe the line and then the way I was treated by the employees. And they all had different answers for when it would be ready, so frustrating. read more

Slow lines at pharmacy - if it's more than 3 people that equals 15 minutes; better to come back later

The pharmacy is always fast. Usually 15 minutes if you wait. The ladies at the pharmacy are always very nice and courteous. I forgot my ring at the pharmacy counter once and they called me right away to let me know. read more

Ordered a photo magnet that was supposed to be delivered to the store in 1-2 weeks. Went to the store twice to follow up and the management team could never find it. The store seems clean like any other and the cashiers are always very nice. But dont use their photo lab for anything that needs to be delivered to the store until they get themselves organized in that dept. read more

Horrible staff I am a physician and had an terrible experience at this location. Staff made a mistake and delayed my patient's medicine for two days. When I called, she would put me on hold for more than 20 mins. When I request to speak to a pharmacist after she admit that she can not locate the order which she placed the day before, she simply told me the pharmacist is busy and just put me on hold for another 20 mins. When I showed up in person at the store, she was in such foul mood and yelled at me for being upset about the mistakes that she is responsible. I will not recommend this location to any of my patients. read more

This location of Walgreens, which I only use for the pharmacy, is what made me switch my allegiance to CVS. I told the pharmacy assistant that I was having a hard time hearing her because she was also speaking to another customer behind me and when I said that, she began to raise her voice to the point of yelling. When I asked her to call the insurance provider she would not. I'm not writing this review after only one experience, rather I have been coming here for over 10 years and finally had enough of the rudeness and lack of attention and respect for their customers. This is by far the best pharmacy I have been to. The same people have been working at the pharmacy for years and they are just amazing. It is like a small neighborhood pharmacy where they remember you and make sure you are a satisfied patient. I live about fifteen minutes away, but I drive farther just to go to this one. The staff at both the retail store and pharmacy are amazing. The Pharmacist and the Technicians are fantastic, and really do treat you like a local pharmacy. I feel they look after your best interest both in educating you and trying to make sure you take advantage of all payment reduction options. I've gone to this pharmacy since I moved into the area in 1994. They were fabulous until Marshall retired a few years back. Somehow they have managed to screw up my prescriptions multiple times, so I'm taking my business elsewhere. The old staff that remains is still fabulous and one of the new staff members is at least polite, but I'm a customer. The lady who has hung up on me twice almost makes Haecker look hospitable. Enough already! Inept and rude does not make for happy customers. read more
