Immediately upon leaving the eye doctor, I received a message from Walgreens that my prescription was ready. I called them to ask if it would be covered by insurance because that didn't align with what my doctor had just told me. The pharmacist on the phone was incredibly rude, saying things like, "Why is taking your doctor so long?" I asked if they would notify me when the insurance went through and he said, "Why would we notify you?" When I asked, "So it's just a guessing game then?" he said, "Well, that's your problem." He was so rude and disgusting and had no idea what was going on.

You can nearly guarantee any visit you have to make for either their pharmacy or for vaccines will become an unfortunate multi-hour event with no end in sight. As you begin to lose hope and scroll through past reviews, you will see the same themes repeated over and over. If you are limited on time you would be better served driving to a much further Walgreens (or any other pharmacy if insurance allows) for a potentially better, less time-intensive experience than this one. I would say I was disappointed in our most recent 1+ hour flu shot experience but at this point I don't know why I'm even surprised.

This CVS is in a super convenient location, and for that reason alone, I've stopped by more times…read morethan I can count. Whether it's picking up prescriptions, grabbing a quick snack, or running an errand, it's great to have a pharmacy right in the neighborhood. That said, the experience is often tainted by the constant presence of panhandlers right outside the entrance. I'm a bleeding heart, I always want to help, but there's a time and place, and today wasn't it. I came in with the flu, just trying to get my prescription, and was approached several times before I even got through the door. I've started going to other CVS locations farther away just to avoid being approached. It's disappointing, because this store is so convenient, but at some point, you just want to run a simple errand. I also really hope the city can step up and do more to take care of those in need. It doesn't seem like Houston is doing much to help these people and is actually stopping those trying to help.

I called Doyle's on Saturday desperately hoping they had what we needed and could compound it. Stephanie was immediately on it, not only finding the medication but calling the vet hospital multiple times to ensure she could safely compound it for a parrot and to get the prescription. We could not get there before closing time due to construction traffic so she left it in a bag with an ice pack hidden outside so we could get it.
