Probably the best HEB I've set foot into.... so far. It is clean and well-organized with expansive selections in my favorite areas of a grocery store. Those areas happen to be the produce section, the deli, ready-made meals, and the wine/beer area. I have not participated in the butcher section but I will eventually given all the positives written about it. There's plenty of check out options although I always go through self-check out and fortunately there's never a line when I'm there. Not sure why people always want to have a person scan items for them. But I suppose they need that human interaction. The only downside (and it's a major downside) is the dreaded parking situation. You will spend a good 10 minutes trying to find parking. And if you're coming on a weekend or day before a major holiday/event, expect to add another 10 minutes on top the 10 originally. I used to live near this one when I was in Energy Coridor but I go to the HEB off Shepherd due to proximity of where I live now. But if I'm ever off I-10 and I need something, I make a point to stop here. And every time I step in, I'm reminded of what a real HEB should be! read more

This needs to be named a SUPER Texas Sized H-E-B like damn! As soon as you walk in to the left, the produce section stays looking like a photoshoot , everything fresh, vibrant, and there has never been a moment I've seen where it's not fully stocked. The meat and seafood sections? Literally is the same way. High-quality cuts, great selection, and staff who actually know what they're talking about. The store is always clean, organized, though it can be busy all the time. Parking is solid (a blessing in Houston), self-checkout runs smooth, and the customer service is good. #8 Yelp 100 December challenge HEB is my go to for great veggies and organic products that are reasonable and well picked.I noticed the selection of Asian type foods is better here for the type of specialty items I like and their butcher items are high quality as well. I try to come on their nonpeak times over the weekend and prefer to shop on days when not so busy . Plentiful parking and usually has security driving or walking with K9 which I appreciate this time of year. read more

Yeah HEB is great everywhere you go for the most part but the parking sitch is atrocious. How is it possible that everyone in Houston is at this HEB all at once 24/7. I went there on a Thursday once and it's still so pack that parking takes longer than actually shopping for your food. Honest to god just go somewhere else. It's not worth driving around or being at a complete stop for 30 minutes to just go in to get groceries for 15 and then another 30 in the parking lot just to leave. read more

This H-E-B is conveniently located off of the Katy Freeway, in a well-established shopping plaza (filled with other amazing shopping options to pick from). I was looking at the bagged salads and noticed the expiration date was two days away. I mentioned it to a person working on produce. She went to the back to get me one with a later expiration date. She was really nice and went above and beyond. I had never tried the Josie's organic salads. The Mediterranean crunch is delicious. Why am I taking a star off? Come on HEB....they have increased the price of cucumbers by 36 percent. They went from .50 cents to .68 cents. That increase is preposterous. read more

This review is for their pharmacy. I just moved into this area of Houston. I always get my medicine at an HEB. Their automated reminders that your medicines are ready for pick up is a great feature. Like I said that I am new and had my meds transfered to this HEB. When I lived in La Porte the meds would take 2 to 3 days before I would get a call to get them. Well I was shocked when I got a call just hours after the doctor called in my order. I really expected to hear that there was a problem but NOOOO my order was ready. I couldn't believe it. Then to top it off the young lady was pleasant and very helpful. She changed the bottle to an easy off top and made a note in the computer for all my future meds to have the easy bottle tops. I love HEB but this store in particular has gotten lazy in certain department's. Most specifically the seafood area, which used to cook your shrimp for you in store. Well since round August their shrimps boiler has been broken. When we asked the person at the counter when they plan to fix it he said "we just need to place a work order"....so why if this is such a simple task to fix your cooker have you not fixed this issue? And if they don't want to fix this please just state to your customers this service is no longer available. Problem solved... read more

This location has the inventory of a 5-star grocery with the parking situation of a 1-star. The diversity of products they offer is unparalleled except with the Heights HEB. But the Heights HEB has an actual parking garage, while this location is limited to one intensely crowded lot. And trying to get in via turning left from Bunker Hill from I-10 is such a pain, because the left turn signal is so fast for how many people use it. read more

This is not my go to store, but I do like the store itself. They have lower prices, carry lots of specialty Texas items, the produce is nice, the sushi bar looks great and they carry lots of brands. I trust the HEB brand and Hill Country brand. They make good quality items. This is NOT a run in/run out store. The parking lot is very big and it is an extremely busy location. Just be aware you will find this store to be very busy on regular days/times and exceptionally busy on Sundays. This location has a gas station and a car wash. The gas prices are comparable to other places near by. I would suggest the ramp up their floral department. I have not seen anything I would purchase in the way of balloons or decor. The area is very dark and uninviting. The floral department should be bright snd decorative to inspire. HEB as a whole has my heart. I love anything Texas! read more

Heb! by the Beatles: Heb! I need some shopping. Heb! Not just any shopping. Heb! You know I need some groceries. Heb! Recently this location has become our go-to location of HEB, although the main drawback is that it is so massive that it takes forever to walk around, and they close one of the most important sets of doors usually at around 9 p.m., however they advertise 9pm as the door close time and then they go ahead and close them at 8:45 which itself is inconsistent. But generally this is one of the best stores for groceries in the region for sure. The reasons I don't give 5 stars are really just that the cheap meats and chickens that I get at some of the other locations never seem to be available here... or they're much more expensive here, oddly. It's also enormous and they keep it icy cold, so it's kind of a nightmare considering how nakedly we dress (lol). Still one of the best grocery stores in Houston. The only thing I bass this on is FLEA But Barbi's my princess, and I need to PEE Especially after an OJ or THREE From HEB for about five FIFTY The clientele here are BOURGEOISIE And they consume more pastries than the Houston PD The parking lot makes me react ANGRILY But we still always shop at the HEB! read more

Today at 12:18 1550 fry rd I had such horrible customers service that I thought I was being treated in different. At register 14 the cashier turned and saw me about to place my thing on the table and turned her back I sat there putting my things up and once finished and waiting she decided to turn around and begin scanning my items no greeting no smile , just awkward stare with not even the courstey of bagging my items after bagging them myself she handed me my receipt. And once the next customer came of different completion came she began to speak and smile and laugh and give them a greeting as if they are a actually human being. While this was hurtful I pray that GOD uses this to help with the customer service. Thank you read more

This review is for the Favor delivery from HEB. While I still like HEB products and prices, there seems to be a serious problem with the delivery service. There was one time in July, when the order must have sat out for some time because the top half of the ice cream container was liquid from melting. My first order after Hurricane Beryl was delivered to the wrong address, but they replaced it. Two of the last 3 orders I placed arrived later than they should have to drive 4 miles for about 10 minutes. The first one arrived about 50 minutes after leaving the store. Thinking it was an anomaly, I ordered again and the next order was good. Then the following order on Saturday arrived 30 minutes after leaving the store. I always tip when I place the order. If the drivers are doing the same thing as other delivery drivers who take longer if there is no tip, that shouldn't be the problem here. However, given my recent experience, I think it is wrong to ask us to tip before the order is even filled. They need a system like Uber has where you can tip after the service you're tipping for has been performed. I have read on Indeed that the average Favor driver makes $62K a year. An individual driver may make less if they don't work full time, but that is their choice and not my problem. read more

Great store, but too many people are bringing their non service dogs into the store. These dogs shed and lick items off of the shelves. They also dirty the shopping cart. HEB needs to start turning away customers with their non service dogs as this is a health and sanitary issue. read more

This is a really well run store with great selection! The downside is it's so awesome that parking is scarce, but they do offer delivery and pick up services. They have good prices, stock well, and have friendly employees. Also I appreciate that they have more organic selection than some, and have good ethics regarding produce (I.e. not accepting produce with Apeel for instance). Overall it's just a really well run store. read more

Went in and purchased a 6 pack of corona. If you're familiar with corona you know that you can't cool it in a fridge and let it get hot again. Once it is cool, it has to stay in the fridge or on ice because it will spoil. It's commonly known as hot beer then. It tastes horrible if it gets spoiled. Corona is not cheap and a store the size of HEB should be on point and know how their products conditions must be to sale. Well I ended up with hot beer. It was spoiled and I just have to throw it away. I contacted the store to notify them of the condition of their corona they were selling. I was on hold after speaking with the staff member that answered the phone for 28 min. At that point I was so frustrated I knew I wasn't getting my money back. I figured at least maybe I can help the next guy wanting to buy corona. The little boy that answered the phone the second time told me the manager was John and I need to tell John about what had happened. I set on hold for another 9 minutes and John answered the phone. Now mind you I am out the money of the purchase. The time that I had wasted so far. John answered the phone and I informed him of the condition of the corona. In one split second he said thanks for letting us know and hung up. I'm not a rocket scientist by all means, obviously look how much time and effort I put into that deal. But one would think John would want to know exactly which corona it was and the quantity. In one split second he showed no concern or care whatsoever. It showed to me exactly what this HEB thinks of their customers. They couldn't care less. read more

i go out of my way to shop this location. it is big and popular, but worth it. pretty much always crowded, even on a rainy day. more noticable in the parking lot. designed well, but just too many cars. i don't drive close to the front door, take the outside lanes, leave and exit away from the seemingly "quickest/shortest" route and you're fine. they have everything. only place i found with frozen eggplant parmesan. you might have to ask for it the first time. oh also, i think they should buy the old trams from Astroworld and drive them up and down the aisles. really big. worth it. read more

Other than the major congestion that surrounds this HEB, this is one of my favorite locations because of its size and variety of products. It's probably a toss up between here and the vintage park location. The last time I came here, it was on a weekend with samples galore. I went in to grab some tomohawk steaks and left with over $300 with random snacks and items we sampled that day. Needless to say, the weekends should always include a visit here lol read more

My condolences to this H-E-B store at Village Plaza of Bunker Hill. I noticed a memorial message for the loss of general manager as I walked in. I don't know him but I can see how well-organized and presented this giant grocery store is. I appreciate his leadership in making this a great place to shop. I wonder why they don't call this H-E-B store a Super H-E-B or H-E-B Superstore. First time here, I call it sized-as-State-of-Texas grocery store. It has from gasoline and electric car fueling in the parking lot and full range of stuff you'll ever need for entire year. Store clerks are always super helpful and friendlier than other grocery stores, including their own brand. It took me 2 hours to learn where everything was. Since I don't shop here often, I forget what I learned. So, instead of coming for my weekly grocery, I only come to grab something very specific. I hate to spent half hour looking for stuff not sold here when website says it does. I had a fantastic experience when I shopped at Sushiya last year. I was doing a cultural demo at work that required dozens of sushi rolls. I used a store coupon for everything I ordered. The attendant called to remind me that morning of picking up. read more

If you suffer from Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, or anything related, take your pills before coming to this location! If not, just don't come or order curbside. Because this HEB location is BU-SY (during peak days/hours). I don't suffer from any of the above and I get stressed TF out (which is hard to do) and I live in NYC!! This place is a combination of Grand Central Terminal, JFK Airport, and Brooklyn Flea during summer (if you're familiar). 3 stars for that reason alone, the huge influx of human beings all over this store, both inside and in the parking lot. This goes to show how store experience affects a customers perception of a store/brand. You literally have to dodge people and their carts CONSTANTLY. You have to swerve around store employees stocking and doing curbside shopping, which only adds to the clutter. Not to mention, it seems most customers are RUNNING / FLYING down the aisles. I thought Texans were supposed to be cool, calm, and collected? Thankfully this location was prepared with cash registers, ALL being open. Kudos for THAT... Overall, yes, HEB has great selection of products both brand name and their own. But this experience will definitely be detrimental for some, especially out-of-towners. First task at hand? HEB needs to adapt Walmart layouts, widen the primary aisles to ease the flow of traffic. That'll be a start. read more

Curbside -Hard Fail Today 4-16-24 I went to pick up a grocery order. I waited 45 minutes before I went into the store and complained at the Customer Service desk. Before that at minute 19 I saw a car pull in, have an employee check in with them, get their groceries loadeded and leave. The Customer Service employee called Curbside and they sent me an employee (not supervisor or manager). She agreed to get someone to get my order and take it to the car. She blamed me for texting incorrectly because I included the name on the order. I have done this numerous times before without issue. HEB's system also sent back the text acknowledging I was there. I don't believe I caused the issue and it's not appropriate to blame the customer. I will be reevaluating shopping at HEB. read more

Just left this location and every one loves their H-E-B!! This location is no different. However, I did encounter an issue while shopping. I have the H-E-B app on all my devices, just in case I don't know where something is I can pull up the item and aisle quickly. This comes in handy when I'm shopping with my twins so we are IN AND OUT! H-E-B San Felipe is my usual location and the app works perfectly!! Unfortunately, this location and the app are not in sync! This was very frustrating because it wasn't just 1 or 2 items, there were several time I looked on the app to find the location of an item and it was WRONG! The app needs to be updated for this particular location or all items need to be place where the app says they are. Shopping with small children isn't and easy task, that's why I rely heavily on this app. So, if you're in a rush. . .ask an associate. Not the app!! This store refuses to keep the handicapped motorized carts plugged in and charged up. So you get half way through your shopping list and it does in you and then you have to wait until someone brings you another cart, another cart that is also only partially charged. A child can plug a cord into an outlet but H‑E‑B employees seem incapable of doing this simple task. read more

Although this is one of my favorite HEBs in the area the parking is an absolute headache and ridiculous. I dread driving through here and usually only stop if it's along the way home (there is one closer to me). It takes forever to find somewhere to park, people will stop in the MIDDLE of the road to wait for people to leave so they can take their spot and not care that they are blocking other cars to go around or move, then the people walking out the stores walk out like blind mice and could care less if you hit them or not. I know there is nothing that can be done with the limited parking but there should be some sort of direction when it comes to parking, besides the cones that block you from making several turns. read more
