I don't usually rate grocery stores but I had to do it for this Randall's because they always have random finds. This Randall's is actually pretty good. You can tell it's a higher traffic location by the quality of staff and attention to detail of the products. I really reviewed them bc if you like pickles they have a ton of pickled flavor items. Staff is pretty helpful here and I'm usually in and out no matter the time of day or how many people are shopping. read more

This store marks up the products to force you to download their app to get a coupon to receive 4 12 packs of soda for the price of 2. Well I don't have their app or coupon so I'm completely ripped off. This company needs a class action lawsuit for doing this to consumers. I also noticed that they charged the same amount as target for a plat of Ozarks water except the plat was about 12 bottles smaller than the one sold at target for the same price. Shameful! read more

I am not sure where Randall's gets their roses from but they have the most beautiful selection of flowers in this area. They also have the most delicious bakery items including their sourdough bread. Don't get me started about the baked chicken from the deli.They also have amazing customer service and their manager has really been helpful to help us find hard to find items. read more

Has food changed or is it just me, I'm unable to find anything with flavor, even the strawberries don't taste of anything. Place is generally higher prices but from time to time you can a deal. Main reason I shop there is convenience and there are less shoppers there, so you can shop in peace but pay more for the privilege. A lot of wasted food, a pile of old avocado's discounted to 0.97c each, ready to be thrown out. So much time and energy to grow them and the high prices deter customers, so they perish unsold. I'm writing this post with a heavy heart. I've been a loyal Randalls customer for the past 20 years. While I've always known some items may be a bit overpriced, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the store made it worth the extra cost. Unfortunately, today's experience has left me questioning whether it's still worth the drive. I visited the store hoping to purchase some day-old bread to make bread pudding for my wife. When I asked the bakery employee, she responded in a very snippy and dismissive tone, telling me they don't sell day-old bread because they use it for other purposes. I wasn't asking for a discount--I was more than willing to pay full price. I simply asked again, and she wouldn't even look at me. Another employee said something to her in Spanish--based on the tone and body language, I assume it was a suggestion to help me--but the first woman refused, saying they needed the bread to make garlic bread. That moment made me think twice about ever buying garlic bread from Randalls again. I was stunned. In all my years of shopping at this location--spending on average $200 a week--I've never been treated that way. I did speak with the manager, who was kind and apologetic. He asked which employee it was so he could follow up and even offered to get a loaf for me. I told him I didn't think I'd take it, even if it were free. It's unfortunate that one bad experience can undo years of goodwill. But from now on, I'll be taking the extra time to shop down the road at H-E-B. read more

I find this location convenient, the employees are very friendly and the store is usually clean. Unfortunately, the produce is extremely overpriced, the seafood department has an intense odor lingering into the wine department and they sell expired products. Working in the service industry and food chains, this is really hard for me. Not only do most companies offer a "free fill" when introducing a new product some of them will give you credit back if you have expired products. So, trying to sell them like this is selfish and manipulative. Do better Randall's. You're in the heart of Town and country and you should have better standards. read more

This is strictly a review of the fried chicken. For grocery store fried chicken, they do a good job. On a recent weekend, my son wanted some fried chicken wings. The wings were crispy on the outside and had a reasonable amount of meat that was good and juicy on the inside. Served hot and fresh. Ordered the wings from the counter at the deli and service was quick and friendly. Check out was self check out at the front of the store. Much better than the Energy Corridor location. The deals on vegetables and certain proteins are abundant and front & center. Not too mention a large section of organic produce. Fried foods on the cheap are available and may surprise you. I did enjoy the chicken tenders and their wings. However their chicken taco is gross. Soft and mushy, it will make you feel disgusting when you bite into it texture wise. You also might have trouble getting the staffs attention back there. While I normally do Costco or HEB for groceries, this location will do when I don't feel like driving the extra distance. read more

I love this store! Convenient to work and home. Great floral department with elegant seasonal decor. The produce, meat and seafood is always fresh. They have specialty cheeses in the delicatessen department. The hot and cold deli service is great too for potato salads, fried chicken and more! Store is always clean and employees are very helpful. Never would I have ever thought I would experience the type of racial discrimination as I did today in this store. To see things like that on tv and in the news is one thing but to be the subject matter of the discrimination is an unpleasant and unsettling experience especially for someone who spent $700+ today alone AND an average of $200 per visit bi weekly at this store. I was just at the Randalls at 12850 Memorial Drive. While at the butcher counter two butchers were there, rinsing the sink and packaging meat. One butcher pointed me out to the other butcher. After they finished chatting, they went back to rinsing and packaging, totally ignoring me. This is not the first time I have found that store to to be unfriendly to the customers. There's an employee there who harasses customers. He asked me what I was doing on the weekends and told me that we should meet for 5 minutes outside after his shift ended at 10 pm to grab food. I told one of the employees there (btw never had issues with any of the other cashiers or clerks) and he told me that they've had complaints before from this guy that he has catcalled women who were wearing short skirts and apparently, nothing was ever done about it, because he still works there. I tried to talking to management but nothing came out of it. Management does not care about losing customers. read more

I can't remember the store # but; the Champions location the bakery staff & store managers were AWESOME! I was traveling yesterday with my dog and had to pick up a last minute dessert. It's unfathomable to think of leaving my dog in the car. Especially in this TEXAS heat. So I called the store and asked could and would they accommodate me by allowing me to bring the dog inside to pickup the cake? After speaking to three managers, the last being the district manager she said yes. She instructed me to go to the SS/Customer check-out, and they would bring the cake to the register. This review is for the short Hispanic lady in the deli area. I want to say I hope your rest of the night got better because whatever mood you were in was surely passed on to the customers to how you were treating them. All I did was stand next to the deli section trying to decide my selection after a long rough day at work, all I wanted was to prepare a easy dinner. Next thing I know I see and hear this employee run and yell across the warm meal side to the deli "this area is CLOSED it 8pm do you not see the time" not only once but twice with such a mean demeanor! No I did keep track of what time it is and the deli area appeared open since the lights was on and no sign of closure. First off you could of said excuse me ma'am unfortunately the deli is closed but there is packaged sandwich slices near the cheese area if you like to see. I get there is bad days but this is the line of work you signed up for. Never once did I show sign of disrespect for you to treat me that way. I have ordered my holiday meals (T-day & Christmas) from Randall's since 2009. Every year the Deli department has NO clue what I am talking about so I usually call their 800# catering & order my meal. I called the number last week & they told me they were not taking orders until after the 13th of this month. So I called the 800# today & was told they were not taking orders but I could call my local Randall's to place an order. WTF? After I advised the person on the phone that my local Randall's was run by a bunch of morons he insisted I call. So I did & got left on hold for over 4 minutes before I was disconnected. So I called customer service & the very nice lady said she would run over to the deli department & have the manager call me back. After 10 minutes I called the deli department back & asked if I could order a turkey dinner. The response I got was "we don't have the Cajun turkeys in". Oh for the love of all things good please, please do not blow a gasket. I responded that I did not ask about the Cajun turkey but wanted to order the turkey dinner. My name, phone number & the date I wanted to pick up the meal was taken. I was also advised the dinner came cold. Well no f..........I replied that I wasn't new to this game & hung up. As soon as I hung up the really nice lady from customer service called back to apologize but she was told by the deli department they were not taking orders. Holy Flurking Schnit! I asked to speak to the store manager but was told he was in a meeting but she could transfer me to Warren (the deli manager). Warren answered & I told him the above & that I was super concerned because I placed an order. Oh yeah, don't worry. Really? Because your right hand has no idea what the left is doing in your department. Yes they do. No they don't & I want you to verify my order while I wait. I was briefly put on hold & Warren came back to confirm they have my order. At least he didn't tell me that the meal came cold. This review is mainly for the sandwhich and hot deli area. A lot of people don't know this but Randall's has THE BEST fried chicken! I have had to learn to stay away from it but I will break down every now and then and get a wing along with a 1/2 scoop of their Awesome Mac n Cheese. Who woulda thunk it? I don't really care for the buffalo wings or bites but it seems to be a hit for other customers. Their soups are totally addicting, but the baked potato soup tends to be too thick sometimes. So here's a little yummy trick I learned. To cut down on the thickness (fat and calories) I put half a ladle of baked potato soup (saenz potatoes) in the small soup container and the rest is the broth from the chicken noodle soup. Wallah... Cream of Chicken Soup! My lunch time favorite are the sandwiches. They blow Subway, Murphys, Which Wich and all the other out of the water! And I particularly like this location because of the great customer service I always receive from Felicia. Don't get me wrong, everyone is nice, but Felicia really knows her customers. She's the only one at this locations that remembers all my quirky ordering styles, like what kind of cheese I prefer and mayo always on the side. It may seem like silly details but her attention to those little details has made me a loyal customer at this location for 2 years now. So take my word, if you're going to indulge in some fried chicken, go to Randall's. read more

I think it might be rather odd to "rate a grocery store", but after my experience here I feel I should. Literally, I felt like I was "fine-food-shopping". Like fine dining, I was that impressed. As I am walking around looking for everything I need, as I walked past workers, not just managers, I'm talking about the man who was stacking food, another man in cold foods putting items away in the freezer, they were like: "Good evening how are you?" "Can I help you find anything". I was greeted by a smile every employee I passed, and the majority said hello. When I couldn't find what I needed I found one of the gentlemen who asked if they could help me find anything. I asked him where the peanut butter and jelly were, I was just looking for a isle number, but he wanted to actually take the time out of what he was doing to show me. Randalls is yes, more expensive. But this beats the crap out of going to Walmart or anywhere else. I'll pay the extra money for that. read more

Randalls' is the Southern version of Von's. So when I am traveling on business I can shop here and then go back home and use the points I earned for discount gas. SCORE! They are as nice as the Von's here. Awesome selection of flowers in the floral department. They have Organics and Kosher and great meat and seafood selection. The staff even remembers me when I have been away for a long while. It is close to my hotel so it is also rather convenient. read more
