I think this HEB is okay. Things that I loved about it is that the store is over the garage and they have this contraption, that can send your shopping cart to the first floor. Shopping wise, something about this space feels cramped. It's something about the spacing where I felt I was bumping into everyone and I really didn't bump into anyone. The pharmacy is on the first floor, which sucks if you need lots of stuff. I found some of the stuff I needed, but I noticed they don't have everything my Sugarland HEB has. I think it's because of the spacing issue. I also found the layout odd compared to older HEBs even that old Meyerland one that got flooded way back in the day, and other older ones like the one by Gulfgate. I feel like you can find everything easier. Here it feels like you're on a narrow puzzle hunt. We got in and out pretty quickly and the service was okay. Not terrible, not outstanding, but good enough that it shouldn't in theory cause issues if they stay consistent. It's a visually appealing HEB, but when it comes to practicality, I wouldn't be surprised if the people who live nearby prefer the Buffalo Speedway one instead and that one has terrible parking. read more

I was casually scrolling through IG when a reel caught my eye: an interview from an HEB bakery talking about a viral croissant donut. Naturally, I immediately thought of the iconic Dominique Ansel Cronut. The video didn't actually show the pastry, which only made me more curious. I figured, why not give it a try? There are plenty of HEB locations around town, so I assumed finding one wouldn't be too hard. Buffalo Speedway location is 5 mins from home but completely sold out. Then we headed to the Meyerland store, where we got 3., I took one look and thought, "These just look like glazed croissants." Still, I didn't want to judge too quickly. But after taking a bite, I have to admit, I was disappointed. The texture was fine, slightly layered as you'd expect from a croissant, but the flavor and overall experience felt pretty ordinary. Essentially, it's just a croissant with glaze. It's not crispy or crunchy on the outside at all but it's $.98. I was hoping for something closer to the original cronut -- that perfect mix of flaky and airy. Instead, this version felt more like a gimmick than a culinary innovation. So, is the viral H-E-B croissant donut worth the hype? For me, not really. It's fun to try once, but don't expect a cronut-level experience. read more

I've held off as long as I could with this review. I kept thinking things would get better or it was a simple mistake. However, that is not the case. I moved back to Meyerland about a year ago. I've been ordering curbside and delivery from HEB since. Going into the store is pure madness. Even the curbside is crazy with the parking garage. So been doing delivery since. The issue is the quality. I've noticed a huge decrease in food quality at HEB. Mostly with my ground beef. After a day in the fridge it begins to turn grey. This happened a couple times. After that I got bad produce. I mean spoiled tomatoes that literally fell apart in the bag and liquid everywhere because it was bad. The last order I got a moldy sweet potato. This is bad. Just because we order delivery doesn't mean we deserve the worst quality items about to go bad or spoil. Do better HEB! read more

Unpopular opinion but I am not a fan of HEB. Mainly because it is a chore to go there. The parking lot of always full. There are lines at the register and going down the isles is like a race through a maze. Yes some items are well priced and the variety is there, but others are overpriced. Overall I tend to spend more on the same items as other stores unless I am careful. Also I really dislike their fruit and produce sales tactics. Often you see a price sign for a fruit that's on sale but they will be two different products placed strategically, the sale item, and another item that's much more expensive. If you are not careful, you will end up grabbing the more expensive item. read more

Sadly, this has gorgeous to be one of the worst run HEBs I've ever been to, and that includes some of the older ones that are nowhere near as nice looks wise but still manage to have good service. Things tend to be haphazardly or illogically stocked, and it can be difficult to find staple items because of this. When there's a coupon for certain items, it's a guarantee that they're out of stock or stacked in cases out of reach. There's never an associate nearby to assist, so you either have to disregard their signage about getting it yourself or forego the purchase. The pharmacy is on the first floor with the parking garage, but most OTC items are upstairs in the store, making for a frustrating experience if you need more than just your prescription. The check out lanes are the worst. They never seem to have enough lanes open for the crowd. One part of that has to be the fact that they don't have a customer service area, so returns and exchanges need to take place in the lanes. The cashiers don't bother to communicate or turn off their light, so it basically turns into a long line of people waiting to be helped until they get fed up and go to another lane because of the ridiculous wait times. If this wasn't the only conveniently located HEB to an area I'm frequently in, I'd never come back. read more

I was looking for a quick grab at H-E-B on Endicott and Beechnut. Because there are no fast food restaurants at Meyerland Plaza. I thought to get a bottled water here would be quick. Not so fast. Parking wasn't bad. But getting upstairs from escalator was a trip. Then, walking through the grocery section to the main shopping area took me a while. By the time I get to cooler section, my hands were full with groceries. Then, I had to hunt for a basket. So, you see, quick grab is never possible for me. I like shopping here during late afternoon when young people getting off work. In contrast, I avoid coming here during holiday weekends. That's normally packed. read more

This is a huge HEB. There is adequate parking in the parking garage. The store is upstairs so you have a choice of using stairs, escalator, or elevator. So it's definitely accommodating to all. Check out lines were short because there were numerous of cashiers working. read more

Never been in a better supermarket. First got curbside pickup last week. Easy peasy. Ordering via app easier than other supermarket apps . Drive to covered dedicated area when the app notifi. Click on spot number on app and leave trunk open. Within about 5 minutes complete. Today went into this enormous store. Amazing selection in all departments. Produce quality top notch. Curbside pick-up was a joke today. Parked and checked in well before other customers and ended up getting my groceries way after other customers who parked and checked in after me. Ambience : Shopping here is like shopping in the middle of a circus/gaming arcade/state fair. Waaay too much stuff and junk up front, then there are household supplies, THEN, if you just want food (silly me), it's all the way in the back of the store. Plus stuff is shelved in the weirdest ways - 1/2 and 1/2 nowhere near the milk like they do at HEB on Buffalo Spdwy. SMH. Since the pandemic started, I switched over to HEB from Walmart neighborhood market because I felt they did a better job sanitizing. There's always a person santizing carts and for a while, they were giving out masks to people who wouldn't come in the store with them. This HEB is well stocked, clean and the employees are all very nice. I love how there is a parking garage so I can avoid the heat and rain. I was rung up a few times wrongly, and when I pointed this out to the cashier or customer service, they promptly refunded me after checking my cart. One of my favorite pick ups is the sushi. But stick to the simple flavors like salmon or tuna rolls. The fancier rolls flavors don't mix well after you bring them home. Also make sure to hand the cashiers the coupons after you put everything on the belt. They've forgotten to scan my coupons sometimes, if they are lying on top of the item. Really worth switching to for the newness of the store and the great service. read more

This is our favorite HEB in our area. Parking is located in an adjacent parking garage. You can park on ground level (and then take an elevator up to the second floor, where the store is located) or drive up the ramp to park on the second floor. Tip for people with young kids - there are car-shaped shopping carts on the 2nd floor! The store itself has been great about sanitizing carts and ensuring masks are worn during the COVID pandemic. It is comparably a smaller HEB to others, but it has everything we need from fresh squeezed juices to meats and cheeses. Lines move quickly and workers are all attentive! read more

This is a new H.E.B in the Meyerland area. I was excited to buy sushi. The parking was empty. I visited here on Monday, June 8tharound 930am. It was slow after the weekend. But J.C Penny was closed for good. It was sad. The inside was clean. There were many handwashing stations. I was really grateful. The first floor was a garage, and the second floor was a shopping area. It was high. Here in Meyerland was a flood-prone area. I think I might swim to the shopping area during flooding.LOL. I found California rolls. It was $7.99.It was high for me. I should have visited in the evening, I might have got a discount.lol.I checked Asian groceries. I saw a couple of Japanese foods. I found nori-seaweed,furikake-seasoning, and sakiika-snack. They were a little bit high. You may check them. The California rolls were great! Overall, I liked it here. read more

There was, until Harvey, a small HEB in the Meyerland/Westbury neighborhood, at Chimney Rock & Braeswood, been there for years, and served the extensive Jewish community well enough in competition with Belden's across the street...HEB got tired of the flooding and closed the store....and, recently, the decades old Belden's finally closed as well. Today a brand new 2 floor HEB (larger than the new Bellaire one, even, and also with covered parking on street level), opens halfway between the Bellaire and the old location, along my bus commute to and from work. I was there when it opened, this morning and spent 90 min exploring the place. Turns out all of Meyerland & Bellaire slept in and I found myself 3rd in line, and got a $10 Gift Card for my trouble. :-D Bought some milk, bread and a couple of things for my breakfast afterwards with said card. The Meyerland Market H-E-B is huge and a big deal for a recovering community hit hard by flooding 3 years straight (2015-17). It has the Jewish Community covered like nobody's business, not just extensive pantry staples from snacks to matzo, but a full Kosher Bakery & Deli & Pareve Sandwiches, a huge Frozen Food row, lots of Kosher Wines, and Seafood. It even has its own Mashgiach... a Jew who supervises the Kashrut status of a Kosher establishment., making sure everything is properly Kosher. It also has a Scratch Bakery, Tortilleria, Take and Bake Pizza, Custom Meat Cutting and Full Service Butcher (including Kosher), Fish Market & Salmon Burgers, Sushi, and Fresh Guacamole. The Meal Simple Case is extensive, as well., and so is the Beer & Wine. The layout is nice and easy to understand, but if you get lost there are maps and a Directory. Lots of cash registers, and plenty of friendly, helpful employees. I like the tables, out front by the entrance, on the 2nd floor, as well. It will be interesting to see just how busy this location stays and how its presence helps bring more shoppers to surrounding businesses, including the Penneys, with which it connects on the 2nd floor parking, the Target, and Chick Fil-A. At least the store won't get flooded, hee, hee! The store also offers a pharmacy and home delivery and curbside pick up. read more

I've been coming into this location for years, but today will definitely be the last day I ever step foot in this place. Today I only had a few items to get so I went through the self check out. I purchased oatmeal eggs, and a jug of protein. I had my hands full, so I sat down some of my stuff to the side and I had forgotten to check out two yogurts so I went back to purchase the two yogurts and for some reason their machine would not let me purchase the two yogurts. It only charged me for one so I went to leave and gave the yogurt to the girl and this really rude flamboyant, gay guy said well you didn't purchase the other stuff and I said yeah I did. I purchased it before the two yogurts what are you talking about and he was like no you didn't I watched you and he obviously didn't watch me because I definitely did so I corrected him and he said well. Give me your receipt and I turned around to go to the machine to get it and there was already somebody on the machine and I said well I don't have the receipt but this girl just helped me and sat there and watched me purchase this stuff and he said well I'm gonna hold your stuff and I'm gonna get the manager and I said OK that's fine. He walked up to the manager and told the manager that I was trying to walk out with the stuff I didn't pay for it which I knew I did so I wasn't worried about it so I stood there waiting to get my stuff and be helped and the manager waited till about five minutes and said you purchased this with a card correct and I said yes and it just returned to my bank, and I proceeded to show it to him and he goes well. You just got all those items and put them in a bag and try to walk out with them without purchasing so I'm just gonna simply ask you to leave and that you're not welcome here anymore when the transaction was obviously on my bank statement and I tried to show it to him and he refused and said there's no need for a debate or a big deal. I'm just gonna ask you to leave and not to return because you're not welcome... talking about unprofessional and complete utter nonsense! I'm literally half tempted to push a lawsuit for discrimination. Do not come to this location now I understand why there are such bad reviews and I've heard some of the stories. I have had the pleasure of shopping on the store, getting my groceries delivered, and doing curbside. All three have been great experiences. This HEB will definitely try to clear up any mishaps. One time when I did delivery, I guess the driver canceled. An associate called me to reassure me that they will make sure my ordered was picked up. It was delivered right after 9pm and I was glad. The other day, no one could pick up their curbside orders due to the systems being down. Not a problem for me, I'm a patient person. The 10 minutes that I waited, I believe 4 associates came to my car to greet me and keep me informed of what was going on. Since I had somewhere to be, I could not wait. The systems came back on maybe two hours later, but I was across town. I received two calls where each left me a voicemail updating me. I was able to pick up my order the following day. I love the curbside pickup. This HEB has a parking garage. Our area is always flooding (Meyerland), so this is the perfect setup. Once again, the customer service is always on point. read more

This happened yesterday....I was still a ways out of town headed in to my mother-in-law's house for the holiday weekend. Turns out she had locked her keys in her car at HEB in Meyerland and was waiting on AAA...(83 years old) The manager and the people at the little refreshment stand / cafe inside HEB jumped into action. They took her grocery cart and put it in the fridge, made sure her ice cream was replaced and no food got ruined in this Texas heat and made sure she had some ice water and somewhere comfortable to wait for AAA. So a damn big shout out to the team at the Meyerland HEB for turning what could have been a tough situation for a retired teacher into a memory that she's still talking about. read more

I love HEB! However, I judge a meat market by their ground hamburger meat. I bought $20 worth of grass-fed ground meat from HEB Meyerland (6-27-24). The hamburger was full of bone fragments and gristle. Extremely GROSS to say the least! I hope they get their act together. But for the time being, I will grind my own meat. read more

This is a smaller HEB, so if you are looking for something specific, I recommend checking on the website first to see if they have it. I've found that to be pretty accurate. Plenty of parking! I prefer to drive up the ramp and park on the 2nd floor so I don't have to wait for the elevator/escalator. If you park in the garage on the 1st floor, they have lights above each parking space to indicate which spaces are unoccupied. The boxes of two-bite brownies in the bakery section are DIVINE. Best brownies I've ever gotten from a grocery store. They are super chocolately and moist! Employees working at the register and self check-out have always been wonderful and helpful! I had lots of problems with curbside pick up (bad produce, wrong items, charged for missing items, etc), plus even though curbside pick up itself is free, the prices are a bit higher than if you go in store (I think there's a small mark up if you order online) so now I prefer to go inside myself. read more

I regularly order delivery as I am unable to shop in person due to medical issues. More often that not the items delivered are close to the expiration date in spite of the fact of me making a notation to please choose item farthest from expiration date. It would appear that they are trying to pass off expiring foods on people that order delivery. Considering how much they charge for delivery $6.95 plus tip which regularly adds up to $12.95 + you would think you could at least expect fresh food. read more

I love coming to this new H-E-B. Smaller than others, but newer and very clean. They've done a good job with handling the pandemic. They have someone sanitizing the carts and making sure everything is clean. I never have trouble finding what I'm looking for as the shelves are always so neat. Staff is very friendly. I say this location is less busy than the one in Bellaire, which is nice when you want a chill shopping trip. Definitely check it out if you live in the Meyerland area. read more

Today is the opening of the new Meyerland HEB, 2 story, 96,000 square feet with 712 parking spaces. Placing the grocery store on the 2nd level assures it will not flood in this flood prone area. There are also 3 massive elevators and 2 escalators. Since Hurricane Harvey destroyed the 18,000 square foot HEB store on Chimney Rock and South Braeswood, this beautiful new store is such a welcome addition for the residents of Meyerland! This HEB is unique in the sense that it accommodates the neighborhood it services. There is a huge kosher product presence including fresh cut kosher meats with on-site kosher supervision, full kosher bakery including bagels and tortillas, kosher sushi, kosher deli, and several aisles dedicated to kosher canned and packaged goods. You can even buy ready to grab & go kosher sandwiches, snacks and coffee from HEB Roasters near the entrance. Of course the store also has a full pharmacy on site, florist, curbside service and home delivery. It is obvious HEB invested in Meyerland for years to come. I plan to be a regular shopper - this is my HEB! read more

Brand New store! So the store is fantastic. Some things could be better, but most people won't notice these things so I won't mention them. The store is on the second floor of the 2 story parking garage. There is lots of parking, both floors. They have escalators and elevators, so shopping is easy. They have what I would call security, cops and guards roaming around the parking area, and near the escalators, and there were probably some that I didn't see. Great and decent prices. Fantastic customer service. Fast, friendly checkers and fast carry out people. It is an HEB. If you never have visited an HEB, go do it. If you have time, look up HEB on Google or Wikipedia. The company donates lots of money to charity. I am sure how many millions of dollars. HEB is like the neighbor of yours that would help you rebuild your house after a catastrophe, with out you ever having to ask. They treat their employees like humans, not like assets, or like "resources". The garage is very bright, functional, well thought-out. I am not a fan of elevators, so I park upstairs. No problem. I guess that is what sums up HEB. No problem. HEB is one of the largest employers in Texas. Texas is fortunate to have HEB. I'm always pleasantly surprised by their prices and the broad amount of various products. I found flea killer for cats that costs less than $9 for a 3 month supply. This H-E-B is on second floor unlike all other locations. I like going to H-E-B because you can get fresh tortilla and fresh squeezed and packed orange juice. I've addicted my roommates with the fresh OJ from H-E-B and now they cannot possibly drink the sugar induced packaged OJ. The fresh wheat tortilla used to be my replacement for Indian Roti or chapati or bread when I didn't like to cook a lot. I used them as bread with indian curries. read more

However the best part is they have a kosher deli section with tons of items. They even make hamburgers/ hotdogs. I tried the Reuben sandwich. Not bad !! Amateur bagger broke my wine bottle, waited 20 minutes for him to get another one, the manager knew he was a high schooler and still waited on him to bring our wine, he brought back a bigger bottle (different brand) way more bang for the buck (very distasteful though as it was a cheap taste wine and only more expensive for the size).
