I was on my way to UPS but I spotted Aldi ! I hadn't been in a minute so I decided to get off and see what's going on. I need eggs and tortillas. The store is very clean. The vegetables are very fresh. It's just a really nice set up store so I end up getting plenty of vegetables Pies, cream cheese, cheese, bread, hot sauces, black beans of variety of things that I need for the month. $162 was the total not bad. The service was great and everything was really clean. But don't forget you gotta take your own bags or buy a basket to carry your stuff out or you can buy a bag for $.15, and I will definitely go back great prices all the fruit is very fresh. Strawberries are fresh tomatoes, avocados, cucumbers, Mexican squash, cabbage, lettuce, rapes, bananas, and I got like three packs of meat good piece of rump roast for $10. Some pork chops for 450 variety of breads, very good selection and very reasonable, good way to save money go to Aldi. I'll definitely be back construction but check your time. read more

A well-run Aldi is amazing. Good food, great prices, and super efficient. A whole grocery run in 20 minutes because they keep the store small, items are easy to find, etc. This one used to be pretty nice and well-stocked. In the last few months, really feels like it's gone downhill and the trend isn't turning. To most noticeable issues are some vandal destroyed all the glass and they put up a bunch of plywood to cover it up, but haven't' fixed the glass. In addition, there's a real shortage of shopping carts. Entire store maybe has 10, so half of customers just have to carry their hauls around. Also had issues with random items being frequently out of stock--dairy and meat being the most problematic. Maybe they'll get their act together... most other Aldis are better. I love the concept, but this one might be on its way out. read more

Nice enough, but if you are a store that specializes in carrying the bare essentials, wouldn't it stand to reason that you should never run out of bare essentials?? There never seems to be any staff around for help/questions/etc. The lines are always long when I go in there - I know you have more than one employee there at a time - can't cashiers call for backup?? (Seems like anytime after 4 would be a busy time for any grocery store - wouldn't that be a good time to ensure that your employees are helping customers and opening more cash registers to help out with the lines??) read more

I regularly go to Aldi's specifically because they have a great price on canned tuna fish that I feed my dog. I Happen to be close to this location today after the rodeo. I'm typically displeased with ALDI (as I find that I still have to stop at another grocery store to get everything that I need), but today really took the cake. When I walked up to the checkout with my case of tuna and random accessories, I was chastised for not knowing that they recently changed a rule that I can only buy six cans at a time. I explained that I've never had a problem buying a case of tuna - but the mad lady at the cash register walkie-talkied her manager, and they decided to do me a favor and sell me 12. I told her I wasn't interested in making a purchase at all today if they weren't planning on selling me the entire case. Not sure why you wouldn't sell me product you have on the floor that has no restrictions on the labels. Your loss. read more

Every time I shop at his location on Highway 6 N & Yorkshire Crossing, they only have 1 cashier with a long line. They have no express checkout. Today I had 2 items standing in a long line. I decided to just walk out. I like shopping here instead of Walmart but with the long lines, might as well face the busy Walmart or HEB. Never shopping her again. read more

The prices I'll normally spend at other stores are double the price I spent here. Not only that, the cashier Niece was so nice and had a smile from ear to ear. This is a brand new Aldi location that opened 10/13/16. The interior is clean and organized. Like other Aldis, the store itself is not a huge grocery store so the selection is limited due to smaller shelf space. The products they do sell are often cheaper than some other stores because they are Aldi store brand items. Bags are not free. You will have to pay to get a plastic bag. You can save money by bringing a canvas tote to carry your items home. To get a shopping cart, you will need to enter a quarter (think the old school Auchan grocery store). You get the quarter back when you return the cart. Can you do all of your grocery shopping here? Maybe, but not if you want a full selection. For instance, they have almond milk but not lactose free milk, and they don't have a fresh meat deli. For more selection, I would head to the giant HEB at Gulf Gate if you live in the area or the HEB on Alabama. Can you pickup a few items on your way home and deal with shorter lines? Yes. read more

HOW HAS THERE BEEN AN ALDI SO CLOSE TO ME AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT?!?! I happened to look at the weekly flyer that gets delivered to my mailbox, and I saw some really cute champagne flutes that would be on sale just in time for the new year. Ok, score! I go online to find a nearby store, only to discover that there's now one about seven minutes away from me! What?! Like the other stores, this store is small, but usually well organized. Since I went during the holidays, I didn't pay too much attention to any disarray that I saw, and it really wasn't too bad. Lots of good deals, and I even found the glasses I went looking for. They just didn't have enough in stock, and wouldn't sell me the set of champagne flutes that another customer was returning for some odd reason. BUT, I had cash on hand, and just bought them directly from the other customer, problem solved. Some of the employees here could be friendlier, but whatever. Interaction is limited, so there's that. read more

This is the place to go for all your basics! I compiled a list of my faves and least faves below and will update as I keep going. It's the only store in its area I where feel safe going. It's a budget friendly place and so they don't always have the large name brands that you'll see elsewhere, and the quality is hit and miss with a few of the products, but it's not large and easy to get around and parking is NEVER a hassle. As for the food, I've tried many things at Aldi and here are their BEST products in my opinion (this applies to most stores as they're all similar): Frozen pizzas. Cream cheese (better than Philadelphia by far). Shredded and block cheese. Sour cream. Moiselle moscato. Choceur brand chocolate. Spaghetti sauce of any brand. Simply Nature black cherry plum juice Canned vegetables. Extremely cheap, as low as 40¢, and just as good as name brands. Frozen tilapia. It was surprisingly amazing, full and flavorful. Anything from the company Deutsche Kuche Frozen fruits and veggies Simply Nature Pumpkin Flaxseed Granola Your basics--eggs, butter, flour, milk, sugar, etc. can always be found here for very cheap prices. What to AVOID: All Millville brand cereals. Tastes like cardboard. Simply Nature cereals are ok but not great. PRODUCE. Go elsewhere. DO NOT get it from here. Coffee. Breakfast foods in general. Tomato soup. Bread. Not good quality, except bagels. The off brand Ritz crackers just are not as good. If you're looking for specialty pasta (anything really besides penne, angel hair or macaroni), best to look elsewhere. They rarely have it. *MEATS. DO NOT GET THEIR MEATS. It's this particular Aldi that I've had terrible luck with meats. It either has a strange smell, goes bad before the sell by date, or tastes awful. Particularly the chicken. IMPORTANT MEAT UPDATE 7/15/18: I was sold a three day expired chuck roast this past week. I should have checked it, yes, but that's dangerous. I didn't go exchange or return it so I won't knock off a star but if an employee sees this, please be more careful.* One last thing. This particular Aldi is perpetually understaffed, but the employees who do work there do an excellent job and they're very friendly. You get to know them by name when you're a regular. Aldi is pretty cool! We don't have any in El Paso so I wanted to check one out while visiting family in Houston. You have to pay 25 cents for a cart but they give it back to you when you leave/return cart. You're also charged a few cents for paper bags. We only got a couple of items so we didn't get any bags or a cart. You can bring your own bags. They also sell some there for future visits. Aldi has some unknown brands. They also have a few of the household/common brand names. I felt the items were decently priced. We got some Shiner beer with lemon and some dryer sheets. I haven't tried the beer yet. Being from Texas, I've had Shiner beer but not this particular flavor. The dryer sheets did their job fine. They were decently priced, almost $2. The service was ok too. The cashier did her thing and we were out. The store was clean and organized. I would come back, especially if I only needed a couple of items. read more

It's not a fancy grocery store but anytime I go there, it's very organized, well kept and I can find almost everything I need. Staff is nice and helpful. They do a very great job to keep the shelves stocked. read more

All I could do was laugh at how over-hyped this store is. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they are the cheapest store for the VERY FEW items they sell. This is not really much better than shopping at a corner store. Definitely not the sort of place a person trying not to eat a ton of prepackaged goods would want to shop. That seemed to be all they had really. I started shopping the perimeter of grocery stores as part of a weight loss geared lifestyle change. That meant I was out of the store in less than 15-20 minutes (and empty handed might I add).  Maybe I'm asking a lot. There are a lot of grocers in Houston. Even the cheapest ones (i.e. Sellers Bros, Pyburns, Foodtown/Food City) have more variety, more fresh goods, bags, sackers and duty free Baskets.  It's amazing what you can sell people with hype. I can even convince someone that they need to experience less service to buy cheap generic store brand goods. I liken the experience to using easy cheese as a pasta sauce. It gets the job done if all you needed was creaminess and salt and you were not at all concerned about flavor, that it came out of a spray can, and could survive a nuclear holocaust. i've never been to an Aldi so i decided to come. you have to have a quarter to rent a cart. it's self help. when you return your cart where you got it from, you get your quarter back. they do this to cut down on workers so the food you are buying is the lowest price possible. you also have to bring your own bags and bag your own groceries. this also cuts down on the price of the food. you can purchase paper bags for 7 cents. they have snacks, condiments, beer/wine, produce and poultry. they have everything that you need. most of the brands are off brands, but still good. read more

It is a very clean store and the service was great. I don't typically shop at stores where I have to bag my own groceries, but I can't beat these prices. I also get a $5 coupon in the mail frequently. In my opinion, the produce could be a little better, but overall everything is pretty good and of great value. If you are new to Aldi, don't expect to find many popular brands here. Most items are little known Aldi brands, which help keep the prices low. Also, if you find something you like, you better get it, because most times, once it's gone, it's gone. You need a quarter to get a shopping cart, which will be returned when the cart is returned. Basically, you are renting the shopping cart. You should also bring your own bags or you will need to purchase them for about 10 cents or less. read more

To whom this may concern I was a customer at store number 18 today for the first time. I went inside the store to purchase one thing a cartridge of butter. I absolutely love the fact that the store is well organized and clean. It was very easy for me to find the item that I was looking for, as well as other things because they were in the correct spot and labeled correctly. Unfortunately my first time experience at the store was not all so great. I was never greeted at the door or greeted by anyone in that store when I first walked in . By this being my first time experience at the store I was not sure where the butter or other items were located at . I unfortunately had to circle back twice around the store looking for the butter, because no one in the store ever approached me to see if I needed any assistance or help. I was only approached by a man named Tony Ramirez when I was leaving out the store. He approached me in a very aggressive unprofessional bothering way regarding a receipt. He stated that he never once saw me purchase The item which was in my hand, so he needed proof of the purchase. I stated to him that I was in the line with the young lady, and I have the receipt and change in my hand. He still insisted that he had to see the receipt which I showed him.Before Showing him the receipt he stated to me that he saw me double back walking around the store. Which indeed I did looking for the butter as well as other items that were in the store that I one day was hoping to purchase. I will no longer purchase any items or anything from this location or any ALDI store matter of fact. Never did I get a welcome or as well as a thank you for coming. Also when I walked inside the store Mr. Tony was helping a customer who stated that she was missing some fruit l, but he said it wasn't on her receipt. When the young lady left Mr. Tony said out loud I don't know who this lady think she was fooling, but I wasn't having it she has to go on somewhere else with all of that and I quote. That was very unprofessional of him, and a supervisor or manager should conduct business with customers or in front of customer in that matter. In my opinion Mr. Tony needs to be taught again customer service ,and professionalism. I would not recommend this store to any of my friends and family. read more

LOVE this Aldi. Clean, organized, friendly employees, good selection considering the size. Maybe they don't have 10 different kinds of everything, but I prefer the smaller vs football size store. Best products for the best prices in the US. The German based ALDI concept of saving in staff and design of the shelfs and therefore putting everything into the best prices works perfect here. They also have some German products and weekly specials. AND a good thing is the bags are not for free. That makes people think twice of how many bags they really need and saves the enviroment. read more

Still among the best! If you are addicted to the regular national brands then this is probably not your place, though they do carry several and their "knock-offs" (I swear) are EXACTLY the same. Try their brand of Cheese-Its and you'll see. Great produce, excellent cheeses and a great selection of crackers and chips -- and some wonderful and interesting salasas. Yum! read more
