We stopped by this Kroger to pick up a few grocery items and were happy to see there's a Parlor Donut nearby as well. I was pleasantly surprised by their great selection of tropical plants, all at very affordable prices. The bakery items are also quite good. Overall, there's plenty of parking, and the store is clean, neatly organized, and easy to shop. Glad to utilize the shorter self checkout lanes. read more

I like this store and the pharmacy people are very helpful. I often go here in the morning. They lock most of the doors and put chains in front of most checkout aisles so one cannot go through. If there was a fire, it may be difficult to exit at the far north corner of the store - how does the fire dept approve of this? read more

I usually stick to grocery pickup, but this was my first time actually going inside this Kroger location. For it to be a Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly busy and the shelves were well stocked. What really stood out to me, beyond the standard grocery run, was the cashier. I believe his name was Alex. He was incredibly fast despite the growing checkout lines. If you've ever shopped at Kroger, you know it can be tough to follow the final price on items while checking out. Alex took the time to explain exactly where the discounts were applied, and when one coupon didn't work, he didn't get annoyed or brush it off, he read the terms and overrode it. It was a simple transaction, but Alex's patience and attention to detail reminded me why in-person grocery shopping, especially at this location, is sometimes worth choosing over pickup. read more

Bought some of awesome, very delicious Beef Bacon, Spicy Queso Chicken Chips and Fruit Punch Zero here this week since they can be very addictive and healthier than most store-bought snacks too. I'm so glad they sell them here. Beef bacon is especially very rare to find. read more

there's not much of a selection though the store is pretty big. barely any fresh juices available. the cut fruit was also not very fresh.

I came to this Kroger near West University Place area because I have to make a connecting route from The Heights to Micro Center. It made sense on the map. I remember I came here before, but not doing my weekly grocery shopping. Employees are not as knowledgeable as other stores. Produce prices are not matching with the advertisement. For example, lettuce was $0.89 on the ad. But cashier ring up $1.38, so did the shelves. So, I asked cashier. He didn't know. So, he gave a lame answer, "it must be different item". This was just many things got higher prices. I spotted a moldy cheese on clearance. Not sure I want to buy any cheese at all. So, disgusting. I used wide angle lens to shoot the produce section because it looks empty and not fully stocked. The rest of store is fully stocked. This store is huge. There are lots of merchandise. It was pleasant to shop here, except produce. I hope there is a farmers' market nearby. read more

I had a frustrating experience at the Kroger store 334 located at 6200 Highway 6 in Missouri City, Texas 77459. I went in to purchase a brand of makeup that I saw on sale online in Kroger's. When I found the product in the store, the sale price was clearly displayed. However, at checkout, it rang up at full price. I mentioned this to an employee at the register, and he told me to take a picture of the sale price and bring it to customer service, which I did. However, when I showed the picture to the customer service representative, Marion, she insisted on going to check the price in the aisle herself, as if my picture wasn't enough proof. I told her, "I have a picture of the product right here--you can clearly see it's on sale." That's when her coworker, Yolanda, chimed in and told her, "If you feel more comfortable, go check," which made me feel like they didn't trust me, as if I was trying to get away with something. At that point, I was upset. It was a small price difference, yet they treated me like I was being dishonest. I asked them to just return the item, but then I decided to call a manager. When Matthew, the manager, arrived, I showed him the picture and explained the situation. Instead of offering a resolution, he said, "We always have to check because you might have taken a picture somewhere else." He followed up with, "I'm not saying you're lying, but that's our policy." At no point did anyone apologize for the inconvenience or acknowledge how frustrating this experience was. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, Yolanda sarcastically said, "Have a blessed day," which felt intentionally rude given the situation. What they fail to realize is that if customers stop coming to the store, Kroger will go out of business--and so will their jobs. But I guess that doesn't matter to some of the rude unprofessional workers. This experience showed me that Kroger's customer service training needs serious improvement. It felt like they were more focused on accusing me of switching prices than actually verifying the proof I provided with my photo. To make matters worse, no one ever offered to resolve the issue or honor the sale price. It no longer feels like customer service matters--it's more about the employees and how they choose to treat people. That experience made it clear that Kroger will not be getting my business again. If this is how they handle simple issues, it's no wonder stores are closing. read more

Not to be confused with Kruger (where you get killed if you fall asleep), Kringer (where they keep saying really awkward inappropriate things to you during check out), or Ogre (aka the President). We shop here literally almost all the time literally, literally, so I literally can't be so mad about it because after all literally it is one of the places that we rely on literally, and by the way, have you read the word literally lately? And the fact that is 24 hours when almost nowhere else is makes a huge difference to us, and I'll come here at 1 or 2 or 3 in the morning and get my chicken for the next week - but therein lies the problem, because a lot of times the chicken will be old or expired and it really drives me crazy. The dates on it will range anywhere from 10 days out to much more commonly one or two days out, and it will be bad by the time you get it in your fridge at home. Or the cats will rip it out of the bag and eat it but that's not Kroger's fault. Still, let's blame them anyway. Some of their other products are good, but they can be high in price as well. I do manage to get my mustard (Colman's English) cheaper than expected here, and some good fruit and veg here - but it depends on the night. Then other times they will only have a couple of registers (self serve) open and they will be problematic, glitchy, and it will be time-consuming. Some employees will ring you up themselves, others ignore you and send bad vibes. But I have to give them a good rating because they are open so late and because it is a good resource for me. The store was clean and aisles were wide. There was so much stock on the shelves! It was really a paradise for me. I bought a rotisserie chicken for $7.99 and found a live fly dancing around in it. Bottom line a live fly in the food is a sign of filth and uncleanliness. I spoke to the store and they wanted to give me another of their filthy chickens, which I did not want after the filth of the first one. I asked to speak to a manager, and spoke to Josie. She finally agreed to give me my $7.99 back. I went by the store tonight and they wanted to give me a gift card. I did not gave the card with me I used and so they could not give me credit. I wanted $7.99 cash. Bottom line. They sold me a fly with a chicken around it and could not make good on their promise to give me the cash back. It was only $7.99, is it worth losing a loyal customer? Just know this Kroger is unkept and filthy if they have giant flies packaged in the chicken. read more

This Kroger is a great, standard-issue grocery store. Everything is usually stocked including seasonal items. The staff is always cordial. I have heard one lady who stocks the seasonal aisle (wears glasses) is incredibly rude to customers sometimes, but I have never personally had an experience with her. Otherwise, all my experiences with my boyfriend here are great. The pharmacist at the pharmacy is also awesome. Would recommend! read more

It is concerning that there is only one staff member managing the financial center, particularly when there is a lengthy queue. In my opinion, it is poor customer service not to provide assistance to employees when it is evident that they require it. It appears that customer satisfaction is not a priority, and it is assumed that customers will patiently wait regardless of the circumstances. read more

This is one of the cleanest and well stocked Kroger's in Houston. Out of all the years I've been to this Kroger I've only had 1 negative experience. Produce selection: 4 When compared to others Kroger's this location has a decent sized produce selection even though it isn't as large as HEB's. Everything always looks fresh and you'll always find what you need if you're just looking for the basics. Packaged food selection: 5 What they lack in the produce department they make up for in the packaged food department! They have a wide variety of packaged food that you wouldn't find anywhere else and they are always on top of the food trend. For example, this spring they were the first location in Houston to have Oreo eggs and they had green tea dark chocolate! You'll always be able to find what you want here and maybe even something new! Service: 4.5 What I love about the workers is that most of them are extremely friendly and make you want to come back. One time, I was looking for an item because I really wanted to try it. Even though I told them it wasn't important they called in other employees and helped me searched every section to try to find that item. I have had one bad experience here which was when a cashier gave me an attitude for asking a question about the gift cards and then didn't scan my Kroger's card before ringing up my purchase. Which lost me 120 points. However, those employees are few and far between and most of the employees are sweet and helpful. Tips: For the floral department, they have a clearance section which is hidden away in the back! The flowers are marked down by more then 50% sometimes but they are still beautiful even if they aren't perfect. Nice Kroger actually, I visited a few days ago without knowing they were 24hrs. This Kroger is a pretty decent size when compared to the nearby one on Kirby Dr. But on to the inside, the groceries and necessities are well organized. They offer a larger variety of items than anyother Kroger I've been to. Fruits are fresh, and they tend to have frequent sales on steaks and other meats. There is a nice selection of wine located mid-ways through the store that I was fond of. I don't really have any bad words to say about this Kroger location. It's in a nice part of town and very convenient since its 24hrs (I hate driving to WalMart). I definitely recommend this location over the Kirby Dr. location! read more

I don't usually review grocery stores, but I make an exception when they blow me away! This signature Kroger was like walking into a Whole Foods but with Kroger prices! Inside is very clean and they have free samples everywhere. I was amazed to find a bulk section that sells dark chocolate covered everything for $8/lb. chocolate covered espresso beans? Pecans? All the same price and they were delicious. Their small shelves for grab and go donuts actually had Bavarian pretzels available for 0.99 cents. I mean these are the pretzels you find a the mall for $4. As I passed by the seafood aisle, they had pre-made frozen seafood for sampling. It tasted like it was from a restaurant, so I promptly bought some to cook later. To sum it up, check this Kroger out, if you are in the neighborhood. Maybe I have ghetto grocery stores in my part of town, which is why I was easily impressed, but as Arnold would say, "I'll be back." read more

It's one week post Hurricane Harvey. All the local free standing Starbucks all closed. This is a nice clean Kroger. There is a cool upstairs indoor "patio". PROS - They now have Planters Cheez Balls on shelves! As of this writing, they are $1.99 with card for the 2.75 oz canister. - They often have great sale prices and closeout deals including on organics/non-gmo products. - They have a few clearance sections scattered throughout the store including bakery and (hidden in the back of the floral department displays) a clearance floral section. - Lines tend to move fast (especially the self-check lanes). - They also have an impressive array of organic and nonGMO products (second only to Whole Foods) which is a huge plus. - Simple Truth Organics are guaranteed. Don't like them? Return them at the Courtesy Booth for a full refund (even if you only have the packaging left). CONS - Refrigerated/Frozen stocking methods: Last week, I saw 8-10 baskets full of frozen/refrigerated items (almost the entire length of the back refrigeration aisle) just sitting in a line down the middle of the aisle at room temperature. There was only one person who was leisurely stocking the area while these items slowly fell below optimum temperature. Not good. - Their store branded (Simple Truth) organics are VERY hit or miss. While most are pretty middle of the lane or pretty hard to not get right such as Organic Milk, below are some standouts. -- Simple Truth Organic shredded Mexican Blend cheese Excellent! The best such blend I've ever tried (organic or not). -- Simple Truth Organic Yellow Taco Shells: Typically I purchase Whole Foods' Organic shells but decided to give these a try. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did they taste stale, but there's no way to re-close the box once you open it. --- Simple Truth Organic White Cheddar Mac & Cheese: I typically buy Annie's but decided to give Simple Truth Organic brand a try. BIG MISTAKE! When I opened the box, I was absolutely STUNNED. There was hardly any macaroni in the box. I was in utter disbelief but cooked it anyway. Checking the box, it states that there are about 2.5 servings at about 1 cup per serving prepared. Once it cooked, I put the noodles in my 2 cup glass measuring cup only to find that there was barely 1.5 cups in the entire box! That's significantly less product then claimed. --- Simple Truth Organic Honey BBQ Sauce It was super watery and bland. It should be renamed a glaze. read more

Looks like everything well organized aisles and cleaned. we would be able to find everything very easily what we looked for. I did not spent for a long time and we used self check out. their self checkout register looks like not complicated at all. This Kroger is so convenient to stop by after church Sundays! You might be interested in knowing that they ALWAYS have a wine tasting station setup on Sundays. Makes shopping a little less stressful :P Items are always stacked and stocked neatly in this store as well. For those picking up dinner, the Delicatessen has a lot of variety. From sushi to chicken, to a salad bar, you'd be hard pressed not to find something to satisfy your tastebuds. I have noticed that the prices on some items are higher at this Kroger (location location location), but at the same token, convenience trumps price sometimes. Kroger seems to me be less hectic than the HEB across the way too (or maybe from my direction it's easier to get to). In any case, I find myself shopping here quite often. read more

I do love HEB most of the time. However, these past couple of years I have been earning a lot of Kroger loyalty and points. They not only give me discounts on gas, but send me customer exclusive coupons. These coupons often times are straight up free items with no purchase necessary. So they have earned my patronage. I usually just stick to the locations near my house, but this one is by far the biggest and cleanest of all Krogers. It is open 24/7 and seems like it is never really busy, as opposed to the HEB across the street which is a mad house. read more
