Compounding Shop Pharmacy is conveniently located in Stafford off 59 and Wilcrest, directly across the street from Aga's, which makes it easy to find. The space is very clean and well-organized, and the customer service is top notch. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and takes the time to explain things clearly--something you don't always get at larger pharmacies. The waiting room is spacious with about four seats, and they even offer free refrigerated bottled water, which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, and the last time I was there they were playing good music at just the right volume--not too loud, not too soft. As a bonus, they even offer a discount for writing a review, which shows how confident they are in their service. Excellent compounding shop! Dr Yoo "John" was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He took the time to really understand what was going on to make sure we were using the right approach and correct compounds. They even went the extra step to include a cold pack to make sure the optimum temperatures were maintained for the ride home. Quick update (2 years later) - Still using this Pharmacy and still getting excellent quality prescriptions filled at a fraction of the price. In some cases 80% off Walgreen's and CVS prices - even with a top notch corporate insurance policy I have. John is also add a lot of value by suggesting and providing some natural compounds that were just as effective as the pharmaceutical drugs with all the associated negative side effects. Update: Just got another on-time delivery that was package correct to maintain temperature, as well as a very helpful consultation with John regarding feedback and effectiveness of alternative medications. read more

I called in 20 minutes before closing time due to an error on my providers half. Jason answered my call, he asked me to have the provider move my prescription and he would do his best to have it filled before they closed. I get to the pharmacy and my provider still hadn't called it in. The pharmacist John went above and beyond to locate my prescription and got it transferred and filled. All this was being done after hours. He still took time to explain the instructions and even gave me some great advice for my illness. I was picking up meds for my cat, who sadly didn't end up making it. However, the people here were very friendly. My buddy didn't even mind the fish taste they gave his medication. He hated another place's meds when he had some about six years ago, so needless to say I appreciated him being able to have this medication go down a little easier. The owner, Dr. Yoo, was called by my wife's ophthalmologist over the weekend in an emergency request for a special compound solution for her eye. The pharmacy was closed, but Dr. Yoo sprang into action and got my wife her much-needed and hard-to-find medication. When we arrived to pick it up, he treated us like family and said "no thank-you's" needed after we were thanking him profusely. He said he just wanted to help her in her time of need and feels that her health was the most important thing. It turns out that if she didn't have the medication, she probably would've lost her vision in that eye if we would've had to wait until Monday for it. I can't guarantee that the pharmacy would do the same thing for everyone else with their hours, but I can be confident in saying that they will get the best customer service and the highest level of respect.
