I called to check up on my prescription and he said he was going to call the insurance company for me. I called back a short time later and next thing I know I received a text message from the pharmacist. Communicating through text like that was super convenient. Walgreens in the Brazos center has always been great to me but when I really needed their help they…read moreexceeded my expectations in the pharmacy , Robert ( pharmacist ) went the extra mile to help me with my outrageously expensive medication . my insurance lapsed and the self- pay portion was upwards of 1000.00 dollars for one medication for a month supply. even if I broke that up weekly ,it's still 250.$. Robert had a solution , he helped me with a coupon , until I got my insurance back on track in a couple months. The medication I speak of helps me remain sober and clean from 36 years of drug addiction. I've been clean and sober for 10 years . this medication assists in my sobriety. I would not be where I am today without it along with other changes in my life . Robert realized the importance of this medication and went above and beyond his job duties to care enough and help me through this couple months . I've been a customer of Walgreens for a very long time ,and using this medication for 10 years . I was panicking , scared , and lost , I did not know what I was going to do without my medication. I cannot afford 250 a week / or 1000 a month for one med. I searched high and low for assistance , no one would help. at a last minute effort , I called the pharmacy at Walgreens just to see if there was anything at all they could do ( I had spoken to them early and they were not willing to or did not know how to help me) Robert answered the phone and I thank God that he did! It's annoying that they put CVS inside Target stores instead of the original Target Pharmacy, because now everything costs what it would cost you in a CVS, which in case you haven't been paying attention is a hell of a lot. I went to get prescriptions for my son asthma inhaler, had a run in with one of the pharmacists…read morecouple weeks prior about a free flavoring but this time they gave me a hard time and told me that they did not see my son prescription of the asthma inhaler. I ended up running out of the medication but the prescription was there because another CVS pharmacy confirmed it but they did not have the inhaler. I called up the Pharmacy manager and refused to listen to the complaint citing that pharmacy was closed and never called me. Hope some upper management see this complaint because it was a medical concern.
